Just in time for my slow work day. Completely done with everything for the day with 6 hours left to sit at the desk in quiet to go and a new Diego long vid to watch.
I liked Anonymous Rex, the changes to it made sense... as in the books (which I love) the disguises were an elaborate series of wire frames, rubber masks and rubber bands keeping their dino parts hidden.
T. rex: Back to the Cretaceous has a special place in my heart. I got it for Christmas when I was a wee lad. It was a little confusing for me, but I couldn't help but wish I was the main character and get to interact with- and touch- a living, breathing Tyrannosaurus.
German "Tin Tan" Valdéz was also well-known for being the voice of Baloo and O'Malley in the Mexican dubs of Disney's The Jungle Book and The Aristocrats.
FINALLY someone talks about the dinotopia movies! i watched them once as a kid and after that never even heard from them again , i didn´t even think about them until I saw your video about the book
I'd like to make several points. 1. Gertie the Dinosaur was part of a live vaudeville act before it was a movie. The performer would actually interact with the animated dinosaur, and at the conclusion he would duck behind the screen and an animated version of him would appear in the movie. 2. Dinornis is the genus name for two species of moa. Moas were paleognaths (ostrich-related) and not related to chickens. 3. Predator X is a species of Pliosaurus, a prehistoric marine reptile. The movie made the monster into an ice lizard thing, probably not realizing that during the creature's time Norway (the country of its discovery) was covered by an ocean. 4. I love me some stop motion dinosaurs, and the ones in The Dinosaur Chronicles look much better than the stupid puppets. 5. If we're using the literal definition, Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds counts as a dinosaur movie. Even though pterosaurs and plesiosaurs aren't dinosaurs, they are according to the film industry so a movie like The Legends of Dinosaurs and Monster Birds counts in my book. 6. I would love to see a video on the Anonymous Rex books. I have all three. Also, have you checked out Luke Dumas' The Paleontologist? It's a novel about a haunted museum with dinosaur ghosts. Seems right up your alley. Thank you for listening.
The funniest part of Age of Extinction is that the biological dinosaurs attacked by the cyberforming seed in the opening are ENTIRELY UNRELATED to the living robot Dinobots (Grimlock and friends). It’s not even used as a red herring, they’re just not connected.
I read at least one, maybe two, of Garcia's Rex novels, and I remember it/them as quite readable and very amusing. Didn't know thee was a movie. Thanks!
They're not exactly "human looking aliens" in 65 they are humans, the idea of the film is that humans are aliens who came to earth long ago and after time their technology became primitive which we see in a time-lapse at the end of the film
The 'Dinosaur' from 'It's Alive' was originally the fish monster from 'Creature of Destruction', both directed by Larry 'They Just Didn't Care' Buchanan who is best known for 'Attack of the The Eye Creatures'.
Oh my goodness, I can't tell you how happy I am. T-Rex back to Caucasians is the movie I was trying to tell my friend about 3 days ago and I forgot the name of it I hadn't seen it in for so long I only seen it twice once when I was at least eight and then a few years later at the same place I remember it being a 3D experience shown at this zoo or something like it like I said I was really young so I can't remember every single detail of where I was but I remember watching it now I want to watch it again I feel the nostalgia kicking in hard.
Is the dinosaur at 1:11:23 another case of "reused from an older movie"? It looks a lot like a toy I had in the 80s, long before The Dinosaur Chronicles (or Saurians) was made.
Hey Diego, I'm not sure if you'll find this interesting, but I’m hoping you'll do a retrospective video of the Dinotopia movie and continuation series. If you don't know where to find it, I recently found and watched the entirety of it on Tubi and if you're going to watch it in chronological order, here’s the layout: 1. Adventures in Dinotopia (May 12-14, 2002) 2. Dinotopia: The Outsiders (Nov 28, 2002) 3. Dinotopia: The Temptation (Dec 5, 2002) 4. Dinotopia: The Election (Dec 19, 2002) 5. Dinotopia: New Horizons (July 3, 2003) 6. Dinotopia: The Virus (July 24, 2003) 7. Dinotopia; The Exit (August 7, 2003) I’m sorry if this seems like a lot, I was just excited that Dinotopia was on the iceberg and I hope you take this into consideration.
Anonymous Rex is probably my favorite syfy original movie. I always wanted more of it and now that I know it was originally a pilot that makes sense, maybe I'll read the books.
this concept has literally been used several times since the 80's. Transformers lore is about a whole species of slaves turning on their masters, only for a corrupt government to form after, and then the people's hero who started a revolution turns into a genocidal tyrant, starts a multiplanet civil war, kill his own planet and several others, until space satan comes and makes things even worse. The last part actually sounds kinda dumb but the rest isn't at all. The comics actually get so serious, political and filosophical, that they put to shame most other comics and mainstream media from any brand. Shame the movies will never touch any of the actual good stories.
@@yghostest My only contact with Transformers has been the War for/Fall of Cybertron games and the Netflix series of the same name plus a few videos on internet (and I really enjoyed all of it quite a lot); so I already knew about the corrupt government, Megatron's fall from grace and Unicron. I just wanted make fun of it, sorry if I caused any discomfort with that trash talk, it's just that "transformium" sounds really lame xD
"Mamma e papà hanno un nuovo bebè, non se ne fanno più niente di te" -from the 'italian version' of Dinosaurs (Dingo pictures). Also, i never expected that Jerry Cala's Jurassic Park knockoff will be featured on this channel.
Anonymous Rex sounds like they took cues from the live action Super Mario Bros movie and combined it with Animorphs (I don’t know anything about Animorphs though I assume that it might have a similar concept with shapeshifters).
I have uploaded Prehistoric Peeps (1905) in full onto my channel, as part of the video “Top 5 Earliest Dinosaur Films Ever Made 1915-1905” I filmed it at the BFI Reuben Library. 🦕
Not that bad of a video and pretty nice video of the some of the dinosaur movies in the iceberg being decent, some could be really bad and while others being weird and I do find some of them pretty decent and one of the favorites growing up and I enjoyed this video more than the tier list from April. Great work and keep it up.
I've never seen the original Land of the Lost series, and I didn't really like it. I'm not a fan of Will Ferrell (that being said, his work in Megamind and The Lego Movie were top-notch), and a lot of the stuff that I dislike about his shtick (namely playing a manchild and using crude humor for a cheap laugh; that being said, I really did like the mosquito gag) were on full display. Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike the movie, but to me it's the cinematic equivalent of the very last thing in the fridge before you decide to go grocery shopping.
for some extra trivia there is a heavy metal band in findland called "Heavysaurs" that are people dressed as dinosaurs playing heavy metal, they also have a movie just called "Heavysaurs - The Movie" thats your basic kid finds a strange creature/s and trys to keep it/them a secret from evil people and the goverment
I was lucky to be among the first to watch T-Rex back to the Cretaceous in IMAX at the Futuroscope of Nantes, France. The 3D glasses hurt like hell back then but nonetheless it was an indelible experience!
The T-Rex in SAURIAN looks like a re-tweaked Aurora Prehistoric Scenes Tyrannosaurus Rex model kit from the ‘70s, I’d recognize it anywhere. The creature in IT’S ALIVE is a Gillman, and the same costume was used in CREATURE OF DESTRUCTION.
I've seen that film "Pteradactyl" as well, and you forgot about the ending part of it, one that involves the Tyrannosaurus Rex. And I've also seen the Asylum version of "Journey to the Center of the Earth", the ending part of it wasn't a good one, especially when one of the giant spiders was hitchhiked into the surface world, and ugh, *shivers* I really hate spiders.
A more correct translation of "El Bello Durmiente" is just Sleeping Beauty, it is literally the name of the fairy tale (although using male pronouns instead of female ones).
I think it's interesting how there are a lot of movies being made, but due to matters of budget and distribution we never hear of them. So videos like these are quite informative
wait is I Am T-Rex just Speckles the Tarbosaurus? They look almost exactly the same, at least in some scenes. The scene where the father T-Rex gets thrown off a cliff ? Literally frame for frame Speckles’ mother being thrown off a cliff. The dinosaur designs are also extremely similar.
Ah, I was wondering if Dinosaur Babes was going to be brought up. I was not disappointed. Yes, I have watched it and own a copy. Yes, it is super weird, but hey sex and dinosaurs both sell, so why not put them together?

The jokes are too easy, folks.
This was simultaneously a blast from the past and the discovery of brand new worlds to me 😀
I'm convinced, more icebergs are necessary. Thank you for what you do.
Just in time for my slow work day. Completely done with everything for the day with 6 hours left to sit at the desk in quiet to go and a new Diego long vid to watch.
I wouldn't be surprise if he will talk about the anime D.I.C.E. in one of his future dinosaurs related videos.
what of Jurassic trappers. Dinoking and Rai, the primitive boy. all anime´s that deals with dinosaurs.
Emotional damage in a dinosaur movie 💀💀💀
Honestly, the concept of Jurassic Thunder sounds fucking awesome! Literal weaponized dinosaurs and zombies!
I liked Anonymous Rex, the changes to it made sense... as in the books (which I love) the disguises were an elaborate series of wire frames, rubber masks and rubber bands keeping their dino parts hidden.
Watching this cosily on a night train between Granada and Paris - great documentary, once again, and replete with tips for beamer bing-watching!

A collaboration between hammer studios and toho, such a missed opportunity.
At the Earth's Core should have been at a higher tier, it's actually a pretty well-known movie.
Mark Polonia sounds like an absolute madlad and I really wanna watch all of his movies.
You Are Umasou rules. Easily the best film in the "Conflicted single father, martial arts, dinosaur family" movie genre.
It sounds really cute im gonna watch it

I never thought to see Jerry Calà (Chicken Park) in an english spoken video, but here we are.
The best part about The Mighty Gorga’s dinosaur is that if you look very closely during its first appearance, you can see the puppeteer’s head
movie named " Dinosaur babes" had me go " okay now we are talking" but then it is just cavemen and dinosaurs
that japanese Rex movie, looks so god damned wholesome. i acctually got misty eyed

Ah yes, Thugs versus Dinosaurs. Starring the very famous, Tony, from Hack The Movies.
It’s weird because I could’ve sworn that I read a comment that said that 65 was a time travel movie when it wasn’t.
That's what everyone thought who watched the trailer
Glad to see that El Bello Durmiente made it into this iceberg. ¡Viva Tin Tan!
