The Thundercat ROARED across the lakes! This man is spot on with his history...We were in our early 20's in 93, I had bought the Polaris 750 Storm (Mine was stolen during the summer of 95 or 96, never recovered. I had let the insurance lapse over the summer, so I had a couple payments left & nothing to show for it. Expensive lesson learned. I hate thieves!) In 94 it went to an 800 & my buddy's bought the 94 Storms with 1 exception, the buddy that had to be the fastest on the lake & had the money to do it, he bought the Thundercat. Oh what a machine it was. If not off running trails, Saturday & Sunday were on the lake, there would be 100's & we'd drag all day. Fortunately for me cuz I was the lightest, I got to pilot the Thundercat for my buddy. It had Piks & a little dial-in work...Pin the throttle & hang on folks, it was a hell of a ride! This is beautiful...TY for the walk down memory lane. PS: The Yamaha V-Maxx was no slouch!
The beginning of total lake domination. My friend had a 95 900 and a brand new zr 900 probably 2008 or one of those years can't remember. Anyway we were up in Houghton lake Michigan riding with some polaris 700s and some 800 skidoos twins. He was on the Zr I was on old faithful thundercat 900 we got to a lake pinned it and smoked those guys so bad we stopped shut them off and lit a cigarette before they made it to the other end with us. And the old Thundercat still led the Zr but he was a close second. Felt great to have all that power at my thumb and boy did it command respect of the driver.
My buddy owned Lynn Felker's big MachZ, ported, cylinder head work, Decker pipes, and stingers, welded crank, a few of Felkers special tweaks in the ignition and clutching, my gosh that thing was fast! Terrible in deep snow, but on the trail, or a frozen lake, forget about keeping up with THAT PARTICULAR sled! And I was a die hard Polaris guy at the time. My modded Storm couldn't keep up, probably 15mph difference on top!..from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸🤠
Great sled!! I restored my 93 Tcat a few summers ago and it’s beautiful! Pulling the trigger on that beast makes me smile every time. I really enjoy your videos!
You are a smart man, and hung onto one of the fast ones I see! Good choice! I love my 93 not the fastest year, more of a nostalgic piece for me. All I know is T-cats Rule! Haha!
Wowee what a sound!!! The t-cat is just mean! Triple triples are like the late 60s-early 70s muscle cars in sled form. I'm glad to be old enough to remember the radar runs and hearing that distinct roar coming through the woods down the trail or across the lake. I myself have a ZRT600.
I would love to have that sled. I bought my first new Arctic Cat that year. I could only afford a 440 Jag Z but I knew every Cat in the kennel and man, those Thundercats rumbled. I loved the way the cowl just shook at idle. I wish it was by design but I think it was just a side effect of jamming that much engine between two skis that had really never been done before.
The only issue was those rear idler wheels. My buddy had one pop off on his '93..after very few miles, and the suspension hopped out of the track guides... at high speed. He was lucky.
This how I plan to live my life soon as I win that Powerball 1.1billion dollar's!! Small place in Colorado on 3000acres, pole barns, guest houses, 100 Horse's, 500 head of cattle...
I'm just going to take a wild guess, but the part where you were ripping around the yard yelling 'woohoo', you were having fun right? Just joking, that thing looks like a blast to ride and is in amazing shape! I've always been partial to the 93 TCat.
Been watching your videos....Thanks again for another very nice / clean sled, w/ history. For my taste, I would like to see Cat replace all the Orange with Arctic Green Instead. Although my 2000 ZL 550 could beat the T Cat, (If I pushed it off a cliff).
I still have my 93 but it's not stock and does not look as nice as that one. Hooper racing 1050 trail, M10 skid and Brad's wider front end. I don't ride it anymore but just can't sell it for some reason.
Those old thundercats were good running and fast, but kinda finicky. I still remember my brother owning a 94 t-cat and him getting beat by a 95 ski doo mach z by 2 lengths on lake cadillac. He just couldnt out run that mach. But had he rejetted, reclutched, he could possibly take the mighty mach. The ski doo was straight out the crate.

I loved the 1000 that came later. One of the meanest sounding sleds I can remember.
lol he look like he was 30 years younger on that sled and having fun , great video

I have been riding arctic cats for 40 years now. I still kept my 1998 thunder cat. It’s definitely a conversation piece when I take it out riding.
You are a smart man, and hung onto one of the fast ones I see! Good choice! I love my 93 not the fastest year, more of a nostalgic piece for me. All I know is T-cats Rule! Haha!
What a beast. Need to see a drag race between this and the vmax 4 cylinder! 👍

Gorgeous machine right there...the King of the lakes that beast was in it's day and throughout the 90's and in to the early 2000's.
Xcr 800 was the early 2000s beast
What a fricking beast! That could out perform some of today’s sleds...
161.5 horsepower
Your knowlege and enthusiasm of snowmobiles reminds me of uncle Buddy. (Buddy Olson). Thanks for sharing it with the world!
Love seeing those old minty sleds !

Imagine being the guy rippin this beast in the day on the lake! My fan cooled polaris trembled in complete fear
Beautiful sled I'd love to have that

Thanks Vladi for the history lessons on these amazing machines that you share with us. Bless you brother
Awesome sled - love the classic snowmobiles
They referred to that colour as Salmon!
Sweet!
Awesome!!! The laugh of triple/triple enjoyment was fantastic!!! Thanx for sharing your fantastic collection.
In 1993 my grandpa bought me a 93 zr440,my cousin got a 93 ext 580Z and grandpa got a 93 Tcat…all brand new from our local john deere dealership.
The only issue was those rear idler wheels. My buddy had one pop off on his '93..after very few miles, and the suspension hopped out of the track guides... at high speed. He was lucky.
Would love to have a later 90s t-cat to collect.
Brother had this with a 1107 kit on it. It was a rocket for the time.
This how I plan to live my life soon as I win that Powerball 1.1billion dollar's!! Small place in Colorado on 3000acres, pole barns, guest houses, 100 Horse's, 500 head of cattle...
Should be on the video
He sounds like the crazy mail man on that movie Funny Farm when he's tearing around on his sleds.
Gave Camoplast fits trying to build a track that would hold up.
will always be the o.g muscle sled, the gutless vmax 4 had nothing for it, neither did the storm 750
Nice ol girl. Wouldn’t mind having one of those someday. See then come up for sale but none that nice.

SHE DANGLES THOSE SKIS! Man nice the Pol-triples of that era for me were always miss-tuned and boggy!
Very nice 👍
Got a 93 thundercat for sale here!
Thing is mint

Before you talk about pink vladi, know that it was called salmon on the cat
161.5 horsepower
It had pistons the size of coffee cans.
"yahah woohoo"
lol
You are mistaken on the original muscle sleds.eltigre in the 70's and 80's were the muscle sleds.
The Salmon colors were not a good choice for Arctic Cat.

Funny used to watch those sleds beat those Mach Zs on the lakes all day long where we ride
@@thunderroad7289 huh. must of been tweaked and tuned. cats werent that fast out of the box.
Здравствуйте помогите пожалуйста связаться с человеком этого замечательного снегохода очень нужна помощь может есть ватсап ?
I will show you how to ride it ...
🇯🇵 Suzuki made it fast !
and uh?
Even this Skidooer that bleeds yellow thinks a T-Cat is cool.
and uh?
and uh...?
lol
Arctic Cat ruled The 90’s and early 2000’s. None of the competition could beat Cat’s suspension and handling
1992 was the first year of the Thundercat
