Do you two put any pressure on the local Las Vegas Politicians to relocate the "Tunnel People" living in the storm tunnels under the Casinos?
Come to Laughlin Nevada. They don't cheat at the tables, and you will be helping to support my smallish community of Laughlin/Bullhead City AZ. It's a lot of fun in the summer time but I'd recommend coming during the middle of the week if you want to rent a wave runner.
As much as I LOVE Vegas, I believe my days of visiting are slowly coming to an end. It's just not the same anymore. It's too corporate now and is only going to get worse. All of my favorite cheap Vegasy spots are closing down and being stacked like a Tetris game full of rich shopping centers and overpriced restaurants where they all look exactly the same. RIP to the days where the average person could come to Vegas, and feel special. Now it's clear the type of clients they are looking to attract.
I SO AGREE! it literally feels like the illuminati has moved in. there are moving anybody with less than a million OUT. They are making it into a money feeding frenzy right before our eyes.
I agree, we are going in 2 weeks and I told my wife that this might be the last time that we visit for a while because we usually go every other Thanksgiving week and have done that for years.
Same. The 90s were the best in Vegas, in my opinion.
I have no desire to go to Vegas ever again. What I loved about Vegas is gone. I went to Vegas sixty times over the years.
@@heidiaguilar1257 My first time was in 2008 and was SO much fun. The hotel gave free coupon booklets for discounted stuff in the area and even a comp drink in the lounge bar.
I love your videos. Will that Formula 1 be gone after Thanksgiving? Or will it continue through December 8th?
See these two do their LV chill was more fun than I anticipated. Date night! Too funny!
I lived in Las Vegas and I hate what F1 is doing to this city. This is our city and F1 acts like they are doing us a favor. If someone looks at a F1 car or driver, Formula 1 wants to charge a fee.
6:53 why will it be busy in November for the next ten years ???
Casinos pay the citizens taxes, & you’re complaining about a few days of inconvenience. Incredible.
Stadiums are a scam. Our loss.
👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Lol watching “influencers” act like F1 is defacing a UNESCO site is hysterical. Bunch of NIMBYs everywhere on here.
I don't like Las Vegas. First time I was there was 1977, I didn't like it, second time was 1991, I didn't like it. The last time was 1995, didn't like it. Now, from what I see, really don't like it. I like Yermo.
This new Las Vegas is running me away, it's way too expensive now for us poor folks.
Tourists don’t want to spend their vacations sitting in ungodly levels of traffic. We go on vacation to get AWAY from that stress. I’m not going NEAR Vegas until their government starts accommodating the needs and the comfort of their visitors. Right now it just seems like an overdeveloped cash grab. With all that revenue that city generates, I’m pretty sure they can afford to repair the escalators on the strip. But they don’t bother because they simply do not care about the experience or the comfort level of the tourists anymore. Whoever is running things over there is a greedy a-hole, pardon my French.
I was planning on coming for my 50th birthday (was there for 40 as well) but with this F1 stuff going on every year I think I may go somewhere else. It seem you can't even enjoy the strip during this F1 time. It's really unfortunate. Even if I was a fan of F1 attending I would be unhappy with what they have done to the strip
Hope you find a better spot & have a magnificent 50th!
Definitely a bit overwhelming. Do hope you have an sanding 50th birthday wherever you celebrate it!
@@TurnItUpWorld there is always Fremont!
I feel like that area may pick up due to the F1 situation
So Freemont is probably going to pick up the slack.
Freemont should hold their own F-1, "with go carts" ! A great thumb your nose at the strip ! The course could be erected in a few hours, and dismantled in about the same time !
@@fposmith😳🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great video guys. It's been a series of bad decision after bad decision, ever since the inception of resort fees, it's all been down hill, sure they are earning more money but it's all going to change, and they know it, that's why they sold all their lands and now they are leasing. F1, another very bad decision, F1 is a disaster for resorts, and the Tropicana, ahh the Tropicana, yes, the Trop is in need of a big renovation, and even it may need to be imploded, but, putting a stadium there, and of all teams, the A's, the worst owners in the majors?, bad , bad decision, ok , Implode it, construct new Resort, don't get rid of the Tropicana name, but don't construct a stadium there, it will only create big mobility problems for the strip.
I agree 100%. Vegas is not going to be an attractive place to travel for very much longer. The best Vegas days are way behind us thanks to corporate greed.
💯
It’s a hot mess! We go to Vegas every year for the past 24…skipping it! Feel bad for the people who travel from other countries..who’ve never seen the strip as they won’t be able see it without all the construction. bellagio fountains or even the volcano.
The Hard Rock in Fort Lauderdale is extremely pricey, starting at $250+ a night. Definitely not worth it. In Vegas I imagine the price point will be $ 150 on the low end and as high as $ 300+. Unfortunately, the Hard Rock is nothing special, people will be better off at Resort's World or Treasure Island. Mirage always offered a mid point from $ 40 to $200 a night.
Our last few trips in Las Vegas were so very costly; the rates for rooms were extremely high, and the buffets were also excessively pricey.
We use to visit LV at least twice a year now we are down to once a year at most...
It’s definitely sky rocketed in a matter of months! Adding the Sphere and F1 certainly changed everything! Now and for a while to come!
Yes, we're in Vegas a couple of weeks ago and the whole F1 mess was terrible. Had to wait longer than usual for Uber rides or taxi. You guys should definitely have a date night at Ocean Prime, we had brunch there and it was excellent!
And this is going to happen another 2 years? What a mistake....
I get around town a lot, and I haven't spoken to a single soul who thinks the race is a good idea. It gets worse when they find out that it doesn't even start until 10 pm. It's bad enough that it takes forever to get anywhere, but there won't be a place in the valley where you won't hear it.
We were there on Sept 17th for 4 nights. Stayed at the Sahara. Had vouchers for the buffet at MGM grand. Didn't know they blocked las Vegas Blvd in front of the Bellagio. Was a mess and they closed koval. What should've been a quick ride down the strip turned into flamingo to paradise to Tropicana to the back entrance. And had a presentation at Wyndham Grand desert but they had it blocked right at the resort so back around Tropicana to in university to Harmon. A mess.
Every member of the Clark County board of supervisors needs to be voted out of office for this…mayor too…I hope people remember this nonsense during next years elections. This should have NEVER happened here. It’s awful.
I've said this many times. If it's not a hotel/Casino, bar, restaurant, adult attraction, it doesn't belong on the strip. It is (WAS) an adult wonderland. Wait until they put that A's stadium on the strip. They should've asked the locals & visitors option before making this monumental decision. They've ruined the strip of Vegas. 😡
Only one thing that never change in Las Vegas is the name itself besides that they always come up with something like airport name, pricey buffets, rooms and everything else. I miss my 80s and 90s vegas very much. I still going there but not as much I use too.
Well said!
I miss the 80's and 90's EVERYTHING! Cars, appliances, grocery stores (the self checkout things gotta go! unless they pay us for working there) OLD is GOLD.
I also miss the 80’s/90’s Vegas!
chipped paint & the cracked windows 😂 I was just there for a week..my feet & legs are recovering 😂I knew that would happen.. we went in MANY different resorts & honestly I do not know what all the hype is about..ehhh I was ready to come home the second day lol 😂 I am Soo glad we left before the race😅 the strip was a complete mess imo
Putting a stadium on the strip is just another nail in the coffin. The corporations have killed Vegas.
Next trip I'll just skip The Strip and head out straight to Freemont Experience or simply just hang out in Primm or maybe drive out to Laughling. Nice video, thanks for sharing.
Honestly, does anyone seriously want a baseball stadium on the Strip?
Wow the Las Vegas strip looks so different compared to when I went to Las Vegas two months ago for my birthday on September 8th!
I stayed at the Paris hotel and everything was great and I had fun!🥳
I live in Chicago and we had the NASCAR race in downtown Chicago this past summer and it was a disaster for over a month with so many street closings! Downtown Chicago retail stores actually lost money because nobody would come to downtown Chicago with all the detours and street closings.
For me, getting to work in downtown Chicago and going back home was horrible for me.
Chicago picked up a 5 year contract with NASCAR and locals think it's a big mistake!👎
I heard you mention that Las Vegas picked up a 10 year contract with formula one!😦
The big question. When will all the F1 stands / equipment will be removed and the sidewalks returned to pre-F1 conditions? I’m coming to Vegas in mid December. 🤔
I don't think anyone really knows, but I would expect it won't be until late December at the earliest considering how long it took them to set up. I'm going December 5th and expecting it to be chaotic.
Will be as long as it took to set that thing up I guess ..
Tear downs are always faster than the build. It'll all come down pretty fast I think because they'll want to get ready for NFR and Christmas crowds. As a local, I can't wait till it's all gone. What a nightmare. I feel bad for the tourists.
@@MooJoo that’s what I thought and am hoping for. Plus Super Bowl coming up in February. No way it should take that long! Did I hear correctly, F1 is going to be a yearly thing in Vegas?
About 10 days after the race, on average. Next year expect about 2 weeks to set up and a week to take down each season.
I was in Vegas from Nov 4 to 8. Stayed at the Luxor. Found F1 disruptions to be minimal, missed seeing the fountain show and the volcano show, but there were still tonnes of things to do like: Freemont Street Experience, Raiders Game, Sphere, Hoover Dam Tour, Shark Reef Aquarium, David Copperfield, Madame Tussauds and Cirque du Soleil.
Hmmm…if I were a large off-strip casino, say Red Rock or Green Valley Ranch, you can bet your ass I would be doing everything I could to draw disillusioned and disgusted Strip visitors to my fine, far-from-the-madness venue. Are they?
F1 is the worst. Ruining Las Vegas for everyone. Noone cares about F1.
Great meeting you 2 last night in front of Planet Hollywood. You mentioned emailing. I'm not seeing your email.
To visit Vegas now and keep your sanity, you would want to stay off strip and enjoy not only Fremont area but the off strip casinos and restaurants of which there are some great ones!
This just might be two of the largest failures in Las Vegas history between the sphere and F1. Or this could be two of the biggest financial gains for Clark County.
I feel like that Formula 1 mess is going to ruin Vegas😫
We started going to Las Vegas in the mid 90’s and many changes have not been for the better.
Shutter speed, project vs. recording fps, frame rate--there's something off on the production of these videos on this channel that gives them all a motion sick jitteriness. Great info and good to listen to, though!
Vegas has always been about change. Why stop now? Sphere? Raiders? SuperBowl? F1 just adds to the fun!
I used to come to Vegas often in my 20’s and 30’s. I didn’t make a lot but it was affordable. Looking at this I don’t think I could afford it at all now and it’s been about 15 years since my last visit. Such a shame because I often think about making a trip. Loved the volcano and the bellagio fountains smh
Date night for sure! 👍🏼
A friend in L.A. priced the F1 Vegas race for his family, and it was less expensive to take them all to the Netherlands F1 Dutch Gran Prix instead.
Wow, unreal! Prices have dropped but it is still very expensive!!
The first time I came to Tropicana was 1972 I was 9 and my grandmother was there for a bowling tournament, not sure where she bowled at but she stayed at the Trop.
I definitely agree with an F1 "huge mistake" opinion and I understand the city is under contract with F1 for 7 years? Moreover, personally sounding selfish and as a visitor for 5 weekends a year, the weekend before Thanksgiving has been my last weekend before the holiday season for about the past 10 years. This year, I've changed to the first weekend in December to avoid the F1 crap. Sorry, but I hope this event turns out to be one big failure. Who is going to want to visit Vegas during the set up and take down months of all grandstands with restricted walkways and views?
I like to know why Tonya and Dave don't do a review of the yearly Star Trek Convention, held at the Rio. Next year will be Aug 1-4 2024.
It would be nice to see them there.
We are coming after Christmas for New Years; will all of the scaffolding still be up in front of Bellagio??
We do not believe so. Christmas and NYE in Vegas is a lot of fun!
Are you on the strip today
Gutted I have missed you guys Back other UK Monday
We were not in the Strip today. We hope you had a great time in Vegas, and hopefully next time we will see each other!!
The Tropicana is a landmark in Las Vegas. So true we always get up early and walk down the strip and sightseeing
Always keeping us updated on everything thanks 😊
Yikes, going to avoid the Strip for a while lol
It should settle down very soon, after…F1 is hitting the Strip this coming weekend!
It's not changed forever at all. Those are TEMPORARY structures.
It will take well over a month to take down all that stuff also creating traffic headaches, by then we are well into January.
And it’s an annual event.
@@legionmartin It can't be done with zero disruption, but it'll be done overnight. Two weeks after the race you'll be astonished how much has gone. It's not the first time it's been done, remember. It's been done all over the world literally hundreds of times before, this is nothing new.
😂 come on DATE NIGHT❤😊
U r both beautiful Americans! Keep it on!
Date night - 👍🏽👍🏼👍🏼
I love Vegas, but whats happening there, shocks me. I planned to visit again November 2024. But F1 sucks me and destroy the Strip. I will not come over the next years. So sad
yumm yumm give me sum!! i agree rates for rooms have gone up 40% so far more we're we stay ,and that F****1 HAS DESTROYED THE STRIP THE MAGIC IS GONE FOR THE NEXT 10 YEARS just sucks not to enjoy the bellagio water show and be in that area anymore, the venetian, etc ,have to endure stay safe you guys , will be there soon
Been here for 4 days so far. All you negative Nancy’s need to take a chill pill. We have walked from MGM to the Strat. NOTHING different….. This town is always under construction….. Been here 12 times. The bus rides are messed up if you drive a car it’s a little messed up. But for tourists just show up and have fun.
I’m coming in on Tuesday and leaving Thursday. Kinda glad I’m not gonna be in when all the f1 fans arrive. It’s gonna be hell! But my bday is in Wednesday so I’ll have a good time!
Was there October 11th to 16th, have been coming that time of year for 16 years. Won’t be back because of this ridiculous formula one mess. It was the worst vacation I’ve ever had! I only get to take a vacation once a year… not a good choice for Vegas, but that’s just my opinion.
Date Night, Date Night 😍
Great comments about F1. Those responsible for making this decision should not be reelected. The "view" of the strip is ruined. All this for 1 race - 1 day and at 10pm! what were they thinking. I have been coming to Vegas since the early 80's. Was a great place to escape life for a few days. We used to come there 4-5 times per year. Now down to 2 and since F1 will most likely be 1 time per year - if that. At this point I wouldn't recommend anyone come there. It's now become a money grab city that really has lost its way and forgotten what is important to their loyal customers. Hope in the future they think about the long-term effect these things have on their customers. Also hope Vegas does not move forward beyond the 3-year guaranteed contract with F1. I feel sorry for all the locals and employees that have been affected by F1 with road closures and traffic.
I just hope all this madness is gone by the time I bring my wife kut here first week of December. I'll avoid the strip at all costs of not. Fremont here we come!
The Strip is chronically under construction with limited sidewalks so it's not very enjoyable anymore. It's dirty and full of traffic and noise. F1 finished it off.
Isn't the Tropicana at the end of the strip, near NYNY? They're putting an NFL stadium right there. Can the strip handle that kind of crowd on top of everything else going on?
The Las Vegas Strip is no longer The Strip . It’s filled with Shopping Malls , Drug Stores (needed) , and a Ross . Now a football stadium (too close ) and a upcoming a baseball stadium , which are both placed to attract gamblers . What happened to the days when the strip casinos had themes . Vegas is doing themselves an injustice and will lose a lot of vacationers . Not only due to what I mentioned above , but to parking fees , room rates , lack of buffets and the cost to eat at one , and over priced food courts . Las Vegas , wake up and save yourself .
Had been to Las Vegas for the first time ever about two weeks ago.
Loved my stay but was a bit disapointed about the Belagio Fountain show (I caught it from that little area to the side that you can still see some of it but it was not the experience I had been hoping for. And was really sad about the volcano since it had also been a prominent feature on my todo list, when I made that list in January (especially when the news came out, that the cool Volcano show would be replaced by a meh-guitar tower.)
All those places where you suddenly ran into dead ends were also a bit annoying when trying to get around as well. There normally were only signs at the very end of the walkway, so you went down the stairs, down the walkway, end up in front of such a sign, turn around, get back UP the stairs (while telling people there were going where you had just gone, that it is a dead end) and then try to navigate through the attached casino, hoping to find a way to get back down again somehow so you can acutally GET to the casino you had planned on going to...
But overall, I LOVED my stay and defintliy want to come back in a few years ^^
This is a huge fiasco. I am a Vegas regular. I understand that Vegas is all about change. I remember the Stardust and the Riviera. But all of these stadiums and billion dollar venues, trying to be everything to everyone.
It's too much and it's lost sight of what Vegas is all about. I'll still keep coming to Vegas but it's getting sad. I never go near the Strip. ..ever. i stay at places locals enjoy..
If ppl keep spending $$ on over priced drinks, buffets, and resort fees, the prices are never going to come down on the Strip. Fremont prices are ok, but attracts too many drunks/weirdos. I personally can not stand the "all most" naked women with tape on them.
So sad how they've ruined vegas with formula one. What a disaster. I wont be back anytime soon. Ill stay downtown probably.
Go girl. If he doesn't support date night, you have my contact details.....
F1 racing in the rain?! How funnn!
Rain adds even more excitement to the race. But rain and cold. I hope not
Can't wait for F1 to be done. BTW F1 is only on a 3 yr contract with an option to extend another 7 yrs. So hopefully it fails this year and we'll only have 2 more years.....
A baseball stadium is fine - but there is absolutely NO reason to build it ON THE STRIP. It’s just a waste of prime real estate.
It doesn't make sense to build a Ballpark in the middle of the STRIP. Guests better not complain when MGM Resorts increases their parking fees for this.
Hi, I would go to Vegas 3 or 4 times a year, but haven't been able to make it in a little while now. I was wondering with all the construction of stands and scaffolding and traffic congestion re the F1 races, will residents of the Las Vegas area have to go through this every year for the next ten years? After the race is over does everything just get taken down and this cycle just starts over again in November of 2024? Kind of sounds like it is just not worth it. I am in L.A. and we have the 405 freeway, so I can appreciate what you guys are going through. Thanks.
Hey peeps ! I am not a fan of the Trop and thank god they tore down that wretched Travelodge . Glad I won’t be there during F1 . Looking forward to some of the new venues like Ocean Prime . Great info as always. You crazy kids are so much fun 😎😎😎
Worst thing is they build all these new venues but not build any public transportation to get to them.
Vegas was always my happy place. Not any more. What are they doing! People who love going to Vegas are going to find other places to go! Vegas is losing its cool.
Just left there this past weekend, we stayed at the Bellagio and thank goodness we had a strip facing room and was able to enjoy the fountain display. The scaffolding, lighting, and seating stands, the traffic was horrific.
It has destroyed Vegas. My friends and I will never ever come back. Ever.
Did you post a night of the race video. I spoke with you 2 in front of Planet Hollywood.
My Husband and I are coming in June for my birthday party I can't wait been over a year for me to Visit
It’s hard to believe the amount of effort being put forth for a photo shoot of a car ripping by The Bellagio.
Thank you for great content ❤
I’ll be there Nov 19-24. Still going to have my fun !
Was in Las Vegas last month. Stayed at Plaza. It was great. Went to Caesar’s Palace once. Drove in the back way and parked in the back parking structure. Didn’t go near the strip.
Has there even been a petition to have the entire strip be pedestrian only with vehicle traffic pushed to the back roads of the strip ???
You can eat a different restaurant here in Vegas everyday and it will take you 250 years
F1 construction is horrible right now. Can't wait for it to be done!!
F1 is not my favorite after everything that's been going on. I still have my tickets for F1 got them before every single headache it's caused. Great Vlog from my favorite Adult Traveling Channel 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Formula 1 was a disaster.
Made it so hard for the locals who work at a strip property to get to work.
Thanks Tanya & Dave you guys always bring premium videos.👍
Las Vegas , about as much fun as being stuck in traffic and then in the mall on the wrong side of town .
these videos more dancing do-rag opening like the old videos.
Where the heck are they going to store all the F1 stuff??
Where i live they call corn beef hash “shit in a shingle” 😂
Whooooooooooooaaa going to be super CRAZZY busy!!
Love the corned beef hash at Mon Ami!
