The basic idea for this one is: Firestar, who once saw Starclan as this... otherworldly, wise and noble thing sees what they do to his daughters and it's Not A Good Time. This isn't meant to be a literal thing, I doubt Starclan would morph into a beast to fight Firestar, but more of a?? Metaphor??? I guess??? For how Firestar is angry at them for the way they allow, and sometimes contribute to, his daughters' suffering, and for how hopeless he feels about it because he's one cat and Starclan is... Starclan, y'know? Anyways.
Just like Goodbye, this animatic jumps all over the place with memories and flashbacks and yada yada. I might add a description for everything but I think everyone can tell what happens here? Idk. I'm tired right now, so I won't do that today at least. We'll see. It's more fun to read comments making theories anyways lol

Im not sure if it was intentional or not but I love how defined the fire vision is in Starclan’s eyes and then it gets a bit more abstract and hard to understand when it’s in Spottedleafs eyes. Like how Starclan can see clearly but only give vague hints to the clans

I love this! I actually have a personal au where at some point, Firestar snaps and wants to know why Star clan is like this, especially towards his daughter. So, he does some mean girls style research (pretending to go along with it for information) and finds out that the creators of the clans should actually probably be in the dark forest and they have been taking over cats who join starclan slowly so that nothing can change for the better. (Which explains why starclan cats change so much from pre-death)

Finally someone who shows Firestar being angry at the mistreatment of his daughters and not Just him being totally forgotten
Considering this was the dude who’s first thoughts when he saw his daughters for the first time was praying that they lead good lives without harassment because they were clanborn, I want to believe he was absolutely livid with how things actually played out
I think the scariest thing about starclan isn't the possibility that they are masterminds who have it all planed out, and are in control of everything. It's that, as the books have shown, they are just as prone to mistakes as the mortal cats bellow, they just don't admit it. And the thought that the spiritual force that you count on and prey to, in the face of all dangers, both natural and supernatural, is just as prone to mistakes, lies, pettiness, and stagnation as you is terrifying.
Like seriously, every time Starclan manages to screw up again, I am more and more convinced that Sol was definitely right.

I feel bad for goosefeather.The way he received prophecies all the time was really traumatic and it impacted him badly later in life...no cat deserves to see so much and suffer because of it.

People are mad at Goosefeather for causing CrookedStar to break his jaw and for MossKit dying in the snowstorm (Which reminder Bluestar CHOSE to take them out in that storm and Goosefeather was already crazy by the time CrookedStar and OakHeart snuck out of camp as kits)
They way Bluestar goes from like a mother to Firestar to a monster like creature is so haunting yet accurate. And the fear and betrayal in Firestar's eyes is so chilling. I wish this was more canon.

firestar with lil eyelashes is a BIG BRAINED TAKE.
i also love how firestar's face is shaped. he's not super handsome nor ridiculously soft. he's balanced in a way that's recognizable while still portraying his soft character
(presumably) tigerstar is also so BIG and menacing compared to firestar. not only is it important to his own character,it also emphasizes how YOUNG rusty was and is as a clan cat. he likely graduated at only 7 or 8 moons,he was and is up against a very powerful cat with years of experience compared to him who's only hesitation when it comes to killing him is that he wants firestar to watch his world burn
I adore the implications of "apathy's a tragedy and boredom is a crime" in this - it makes it feel like StarClan causes all this discord and chaos, or at the very least stokes it, simply because they find it interesting, caring not for the happiness of the lives they meddle with.
I love the way StarClan tilts their head back like crazy while laughing! So creepy but amazing at the same time!
I had this au idea where, because I believe it is in Firestar's character, he decides to destroy/take over Starclan.
I can see several characters joining him in this, one that really stands out is Nightpelt of Shadowclan. If Starclan had chosen him to become leader instead of Tigerclaw it would of saved many lives.
I love this, especially firestar's design!! I have always had this idea of firestar questioning starclan, mainly having to do with medicine cats unable to have mates but also how starclan is in general, he's seen what has happened to bluestar, yellowfang, leafpool, and now what has happened to his daughter's, it's just an interesting concept. :) hope everyone is having a wonderful day/night!!

The storytelling here is SO good! It really puts a new perspective on the arcs following the first prophecy--I especially love the frame showing that Lionblaze and Jayfeathers as 'cursed'/Hollyleaf being the only one spared. Such an interesting way to reframe the narrative

It just felt right that Firestar would react this way, ESPECIALLY since he's now in Starclan and is watching this all unfold. If anything, I'm sure this could be a factor to Leaf and Squirrel having a trial instead of a straight-up send-to deal
WOW, SWEETFROST!! This is absolutely mindblowing, I adore this little continuation with Firestar being the center of attention to show how Squirrel got there and lulling them into a false sense of security only for everything to get completely sour when Starclan berated their lives and acts monsterous to them! It's a great show of how you did this to, it gives me chills in the original song and in this! :)

Ahh this is so good!! Starclan is portrayed so well; many cats are taught to look up to them, but they don’t really do too much to save the cats that worship them when they’re in complete control (?)
I get complete Ashfur vibes as the manipulative starclan cat. Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t ashfur get control of bramblestar in the first place because firestar trusted him??
Anyway, amazing work as always! The idea of firestar turning on starclan is rather interesting, and I would love to see pmvs relevant to this idea on the future!

They ruined Goosefeather, Bluestar, Thistleclaw, Lionblaze, Jayfeather, Hollyleaf, Bramblestar, Squirrelflight, Firestar, Crowfeather, Twigbranch, Violetshine, Rileypool, Echosong, Tigerheart/star, Dovewing, Ivypool, Feathertail, Stormfur, Graystripe, Silverstream, Tawnypelt, and Hawkfrost. And that isn’t even scratching the surface. We only know what we have been told of the bigger Warriors lore.
@@WarriorLionstripe Absolutely I'll also argue that they were the reason og Tigerstar turned out so bad setting off the much larger chain of events that hurt so many others. Making his dad who would have been a positive role model leave, having a conduit for starclan (goosefeather) yell at a literal toddler that "he is evil and nothing he does will ever change that no matter how hard he fights it" and then letting him be mentored by Thistleclaw who starclan also screwed up... coincidence I THINK NOT!
@@Parasolhyena Yup. And throughout Firestar’s Quest, there are multiple hints that Firestar’s trust in StarClan is broken after they allowed SkyClan to be driven out. Only reason he still puts forth their judgement is because their prophecies are the only things keeping the Clans alive. Given that the Clans would have died at multiple points in the storyline without StarClan.
And A Vision of Shadows was a nice breath of fresh air because the events that occurred weren’t entirely their fault. All they knew was that SkyClan had to return. They never knew that Darktail took over the gorge. However, it could have been prevented if they managed to convince Onewhisker (even subtly) that Darktail should become a WindClan warrior.
I adore this video!! I remember seeing the one with Squirrelflight and Leafpool, but now I can’t help but imagine Firestar hearing all those overlapping voices within Starclan as the cats during the trial with his kids, which breaks my heart!!

I love this! I especially love firestar's design; I think a lot of people make him seem more regal but I like the originality in his little round ball of fluff look! Like a part of him will always be a kittypet.
I remember reading that he had a nervous/anxious look on his face when squilf and leaf were getting trialled, as if he doubted starclans judgement. Also I love your art style!

He would be _furious_ if he knew even half of the shit StarClan put his daughters through.
Every single prophecy in the series always seems to have a "price" for the characters to pay to fufill it. Bluestar giving up her kits to become leader, Brambleclaw killing his half-brother to save his leader, and so on and so forth.
But Firestar never seemed to have any "specific" price that wouldn't have happened otherwise if it wasn't for the prophecy. Bluestar would always break when Tigerclaw betrayed her, and stuff like that.
So I always headcanoned that the price of his prophecy, of becoming such a great leader, was the suffering of his daughters.
Hmm.HMM Starclan putting the star in Firestars paw which is probably referencing the 3 and he looks fond and grateful but then sees how the 3 came to be- rampant manipulation and gaslighting of his daughters
THIS! THIS RIGHT HERE! With these new books Starclan has COMPLETELY changed, and I’ve been having so many off feelings reading anything involving them. This is why, they no longer seem like a great life guiding resting place for the good, but a corrupt cult who say things yet never do what they say. They want the living to follow their morals but their morals are corrupt. Everyone who dies and goes to starclan change. They become more rigid and less open. They don’t even try to accept changes that the living are making. Times change, and that means rules have to be able to mold with the change. Starclan is stopping this from happening, which is ultimately what is destroying the clans. When Starclan first came to be, the spirits and leaders actually shared tongues and bonded, now Starclan sends them a vision of a blade of grass and tells the clans to figure it out for themselves. Something happened in Starclan while the clans evolved, and I would love if the Erins decided to take this route instead of dragging out the “mistakes” the living are making. It’s Starclan who’s making the mistakes, it’s gunna take a real special cat to figure this out.

This feels so relatable since StarClan has some cats who didn't deserve to go to StarClan (Like Appledusk, Oakstar, Rainflower, etc.), and even when some of them were kinda fans' opinions (Like Appledusk, Oakstar, etc.) Rainflower didn't even deserve to go to StarClan because she disowned Crookedstar just because of his injury, and also, another thing is they didn't give Nightstar 9 lives, and if you think of it, after Brokenstar was exiled, he lost two lives because of Yellowfang, so he was probably on his 3rd life, so why didn't StarClan give Nightstar 6 lives? And why did StarClan even give Tigerstar and Brokenstar their 9 lives? Also, why did StarClan get a tree to kill Mudclaw after he realized Hawkfrost was manipulating him? Also, about Appledusk being in StarClan and not the dark forest, I heard from Google (I think I read a theory about it..) that even Frecklewish was more innocent than Appledusk, and why did they put Mapleshade in the dark forest if she was only avenging her kits? I would probably do the same thing if I were Mapleshade, because I would most likely be heartbroken if I lost someone who was very close to me. Also, I'm kinda confused about the whole mate thing because it said that it's not unusual to have more than one mate (Ex: Whitestorm, Jake, etc.), and yet, Ashfur was jealous because Brambleclaw was mates with Squilf, and Mapleshade was angry that Appledusk was mating with Reedshine, so did Appledusk want Squilf for himself and Mapleshade want Appledusk for herself, or do both mates have to agree before one of them can mate with more than one cat??

YOOO THIS IS SUCH A GOOD IDEA!!! And it was executed so well :OO It would make sense for Firestar's view on Starclan to morph over the years, considering how much suffering they could have prevented/outright inflicted on the ones Firestar loves.

I much prefer your version of events, his reaction to seeing squilf get thrown by bramble, leafs violent death, their treatment before and after the three were born. Fuckin sucks bro

Wow! This is super cool and good! I dont see 'evil straclan' alot in amvs and such, and the expressions are just swell!! Thsi kida reminds me when bluestar was punishing fireheart and was saying things like : 'oh starclan is cruel, fireheart'. And itd be a cool thing to imagine her trying to warn fireheart while still losing control slowly . idk lol but great animation! :D

I see that starclan just uses the cats because they want cats to believe and them and the other cats depend on these even mistystar is the big example of how starclan is to these cats even wanting to get mothwing who didn't believe it to retire because of that so they are dependent on starclan for answers to problems and stuff like that.
