I feel like this song really fits Starclan as a whole because at first glance it is beautiful and amazing and magical, but, once you start seeing it's dark side, their intentions can seem kind of messed up.

This is messed up and is probably why that part was taken out but-
"Or DM a girl and groom her" would be Spottedpaw (Spottedleaf) and that warrior that groomed her in her book.
That was actually included in the original part, I know that because the animator who did that is my friend. And yeah, the host decided to cut it because it was creepingly accurate to the books.

Super excited to see this come together! Ive been watching the parts be done in this MAP and ive made lots of friends in the server, Leowo included. Im so proud that after all this time its officially complete and done! Good job to everyone even though I havent seen it yet. I love you all

HI! This comment is going to contain mentions and is based around grooming in Warrior Cats with Thistleclaw and Spottedpaw, with a dash of Firestar involved. If you do not want to hear this, please continue scrolling. If you do want to hear this, strap in, because it seems to now be an entire essay:D
There was a part of this song that was cut out that stated, "Or DM a girl and groom her". I believe Leowo cut this part out because it was so reminiscent of Spottedleaf and Thistleclaw's relationship.
FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT KNOW:
Thistleclaw was the main villain in "Bluestar's Prophecy". He attempted to become leader via force, but whilst in that mindset, he got himself a mate, Snowfur. Bluestar's (Bluefur's) sister. He made the two despise each other and had a kit with Snowfur, named Whitestorm, Firestar's later deputy. Snowfur died on the thunderpath while Whitestorm was still a kit, and Bluefur was forced to raise him.
When Spottedleaf, the first medicine cat we, as the reader, are introduced to, was a kit and apprentice, she and Thistleclaw, had a... complicated and manipulative relationship. Bluefur was the leader at this time, and Whitestorm was a warrior.
NOW THAT YOU KNOW THE BACKSTORY, HERE'S THE BULK OF MY RANT:
Thistleclaw is your classic case of grooming. He was an adult and already had a (deceased) mate, (but still a mate) and a kit, and his kit was a fully-fledged warrior named Whitestorm. Thistleclaw took an immediate interest in Spottedleaf as a kit and connected with her in a mate-like fashion. Spottedpaw believed he was doing the best thing possible for her because of his manipulative ways that only Bluefur was able to see through via the prophecy.
It isn't addressed enough in Bluestars Prophecy, only a sentence of two here and there. Thistleclaw wasn't in love with Spottedpaw, however in my opinion. He was more obsessed with her as a way to replace Snowfur. They both had very similar personalities. They both were kind and boisterous as young apprentices, and were obsessed with becoming warriors, and fell head over heels for Thistleclaw despite him being blatantly evil and too ambitious for his own good.
I believe, had Spottedpaw not seen his evil ways and rejected him, instead deciding becoming a medicine cat (though Thistleclaw still tried to become mates with her despite this), Spottedpaw would've been an exact replacement or clone of Snowfur, having kits and being forced to cut off any other relationship that meant something to her.
Thistleclaw knew what he was doing with Snowfur when he made her cut-off connection with Bluefur. He no longer had to deal with her interference, and could easily become mates with Snowfur after they stopped being on talking terms for a while. If Thistleclaw could cut off connection with all of Spottedleaf's littermates, he could become mates with her despite her being a medicine cat apprentice already, because she had nobody to tell her that it was wrong.
In the end, Thistleclaw's main falling point was showing Spottedpaw the Dark Forest all while undermining her ability to choose her own path and her belief in StarClan's future for her. This ultimately led her away from him, and for good reason. He still tried to desperately keep her trapped between his claws but ultimately failed.
Unfortunately, this isn't the happy ending some groomed people get. They stay trapped between their groomer's claws, (or hands) with manipulation and lies. Spottedleaf is lucky she got out, even though I don't believe she truly ever realized how awful Thistleclaw was, and made a friend in Firestar.
(yes, I say friend. She never groomed Firestar as an apprentice, and actually kept her distance to prevent that. She talked to him later in life to give him advice and guidance and did not try to stop him from developing an interest in Sandstorm. -technically sandstorm is related to Spottedleaf, ill get into that later. it has to do with littermates and cousins and stuff- She died again for Sandstorm because she knew how much she meant to Firestar. Spottedleaf cared for Firestar, but not in a i-want-you-to-be-my-mate kind of way.)
IN CONCLUSION,
Thistleclaw groomed Spottedpaw, Spottedleaf did not groom Firestar, and Spottedleaf was supposed to be a replacement Snowfur and Spottedleaf is lucky she saw Thistleclaw's evil ways and he died. :)
p.s.
if you want to do a bit more reading, the next part quickly explains how sandstorm and Spottedleaf are related :) also, this took me 45 minutes to write, because I have ADHD and have thought about this for way too long. In the next part, I will have the important stuff in CAPITAL letters so the brain can comprehend this more easily
EXTRA- HOW SPOTTEDLEAF AND SANDSTORM ARE RELATED:
This isn't some messed up brother-sister oh we're mates now, thing, it's really just bloodlines and littermates and stuff. SPOTTEDLEAF'S PARENTS are SWIFTBREEZE and ADDERFANG who had a PRIOR LITTER of PATCHPELT AND LEOPARDFOOT. Spottedleaf's littermates are REDTAIL and WILLOWPELT.
Sandstorm's parents are REDTAIL and BRINDLEFACE.
To put in simpler terms:
Spottedleaf had a littermate named Redtail, and Redtail later had Sandstorm. Boom, done.
If you survived to the end, I wanted to tell you a lil' something special from me.
I know times are hard right now, but from a mentally ill person to a mentally ill person, I think you're doing amazing. Don't give up, and remember to get your daily dose of water, food, sleep, warrior cats, and youtube :) Things get better.
There is never a completely smooth road, even if the path is straight. There are speed bumps, and unexpected bumps and dips, and sometimes somebody might have paved the road for ya for an extra smooth ride. Keep going, and understand you're worth it.

@@twist_ending7545 please elaborate, this is simply what I found to be true in the books and online. I did my research, it was confirmed by the Erin's that Sandstorm's parents are Redtail and Brindleface. Here's what I found after the search "who are sandstorm's parent's"
" It was confirmed on a chat that her father was Redtail, and her mother Brindleface"
While Sandstorm doesn't have many (or really any interactions) with her parents and did not grieve at Redtail's death, therefore leading some fans to believe that they aren't related, but they, in fact, are. Another quick search of "who are spottedleaf's littermates" came up with the results of "Her littermates are Redtail and Willowpelt, and her older siblings are Patchpelt and Leopardfoot."
So, again, to put in simpler terms, it is *confirmed* by the Erins that one of Spottedleaf's littermates was Redtail, and Sandstorm's father was Redtail. They are related, not closely, but still related.

I loved it! I thought it was gonna be NSP's Welcome to My Parents' House until the video started lmao.
Also, I think the tw in the description should say "gr**ming" or "gr*oming" instead of "gr*mming." I couldn't figure out what gr*mming meant until I got to the cut part of the song and remembered what was cut, so it wasn't a very effective content warning, at least not for me.
