- We did it! I am very happy with what we did! I wanted to make this map very sad and sensual and we did it! Thank you to everyone who participated in this MAP! You are the best!

You're right, im proud of Firestar how he helped his clan how much he can but...after all of the thinks that happen in his life (Bluestar's death, Whitestorm's death, Cinderpelt's death etc.) we can see he start being disappointed of his clan and family

I love the warrior cat series, but I really hate how they minimalize emotional feelings and aftermath of traumatizing experiences in their books. It becomes increasingly easy every single book to just dismiss one of their characters feelings and make it seem like they forget about it the next week. Ashfur is literally the only character I’ve seen hold on to feelings for so long, and what he was feeling wasn’t even healthy.

I really think Firestar is disappointed of his clan, and we can see he haved a hard and sad life. Bluestar dies, he see Bramblepaw crying, Whitestorm get killed, Leafpool get missing, the badgers attack, Cinderpelt death, Greystripe got "kidnapped" by the two legs, Hollyleaf tells the truth to all the clans etc....i wish Firestar would be happy and proud about his family and house but... everybody thinks hes weak and just a kittypet. I don't really like him but now i see in this map the pain and troubles he tried to bypass...😿

- He joins a clan, only to face prejudice
- Watches an entire clan disappear, and realizes how brutal shadowclan is
- He starts to have horrifying nightmares about the future
- He is attacked by bloodthirsty rats and watches his leader lose a life
-He goes back to camp to find his camp being ravaged by shadowclan warriors
-He watches Lionheart die
-Overhears tigerclaw plotting to kill his best friend
-He learns that tigerclaw murdered redtail in cold blood
-He finds spottedleafs brutally mangled body
-He says goodbye to ravenpaw
-He battles with shadowclan
-Bluestar doesnt believe him about redtails murder
-He watches whiteclaw die
-He finds cinderpaws body splayed out on the thunderpath
-He watches his leader lose another life
-He brings cloudkit into thunderclan, only for the kit to face the same prejudice he was given
-He has to attack shadowclan warriors again for the third time

Firestar never showed signs of being terribly disturbed by this. He doesn't need therapy. Save it for the actually mentally unstable characters, like Hollyleaf. Feel sorry for her, not Firestar. He didn't regret his life. Characters like Hollyleaf are often missunderstood for their mentality, just like people in real life that suffer problems. Warriors should not be a kids book... It teaches them the wrong things. I'm afraid kids will think people like Hollyleaf are bad, because her actions are portrayed as such. But it isn't her fault!

I remember when I used to think Firestar was a bad leader, overrated and a bad father, but watching this reminds me of all the trauma and stuff he went through. He’s seen multiple deaths, not to mention watching Tigerstar’s bloody one. His clan is always somehow falling apart, obviously because it’s the main clan, but that means he has to deal with it always and gets blamed for it by the other clans. And also another problem ampngst all leaders, they have to go through nine deaths, which must all be very painful.
Especially when Hollyleaf told Leafpool’s secret to everyone, Firestar not only had to deal with family problem, but as well as another missing cat, other Clans blaming him and Sol.
All this while he has the weight of a prophecy on his back and is supposed to be the “Legendary Firestar”. I feel bad for him now 😭

Firestar never had depression. Don't label sadness as a mental illness. It gets on my nerves. Each day, someone's actual depression is being ignored as they think it's just a phase of sadness. Depression is a feeling of deep doubt, anger, hurt, grief and numbness that lasts for more than 2 weeks. You lose interest in things you used to enjoy and may even fall into the cycle of self-harm. Firestar showed no signs of this. He was fine.

You just lose interest in things you love, you feel like life is constantly bringing you down, and that there's no way of coming out. Some people lose the motivation to even live. Depression is a mental illness, not a phase of sadness. It can last for years or some months.

Actually, that isn't entirely true. Depression in itself is not _exclusively_ a mental illness, contrary to what people believe. Though I'd like to preface this by saying, no ― *no* form of depression is _more or less "real"_ than any other.
What Dang Dao has described is called *situational depression;* which is a normal reaction to traumatic or life changing events. (Such as the loss of a loved one, divorce, ect.) Alternatively called depressive mood, it stems from the struggle to come to terms with dramatic life changes. This is often temporary, resolving itself with time.
Then ― you have what is called *clinical depression,* which _is_ the mental illness. It does not resolve itself with time and often requires medication to manage. Equally, depressed mood can be symptomatic of an individual suffering clinical depression, but it is NOT exclusive to it.
Someone can very much experience be depression without having the mental illness.. and neither form should be trivialized.

Actually, someone could very much say that Firestar did experience depression in his life ― however, it was *depressive mood,* which is the normal reaction to dramatically life changing events, (Such as the loss of a loved one... like Dang Dao described up above.) and not the mental disorder.
Though it's extremely important I make a note that there's no form of depression which is any more or less "real" than the other ― but you have clinical depression, which is the mental illness, and then you also have depressed mood. Both are described as depression, but they mean two different things.
Firestar was traumatized several times, but for some reason in the books he's just fine?? I love MAPs like this, it's nice to see a sadder side of the characters whose only emotion was "honOR!" Firestar especially works really well for vent MAPs. Keep up the good work, this was beautiful!

He trend staying strong, I feel so bad for him, when greystripe was missing (no deputy current yet) brambleclaw was getting a little hungry for deputy, also say8ng that firestar is being to soft! I hate it when people are like “he’s a bad character”
It's been AGES since I read Arc 2-4 (just started over this year). My thoughts are, He's reduced to a side character after Arc 1. Thus his thoughts & feelings are not deeply expressed. Also like Bluestar & many other leaders, it's his responsibility to seem strong 24/7. His life comes 2nd to the well-being of his clan, also he's EXTREMELY selfless. Often in Arc 1 & his Quest, he refuses to voice his problems because he doesn't want to fright, discourage, or burden others.
Firestar was contender for my fav character ever in Arc 1. But i liked him less in later Arcs. He was very side character & i felt he made mouse brained decisions like attacking windclan when jayfeather was trying to ask him to save them. DESTROYING his friendship with Onewhisker & windclan for litteraly no gain at all.
But this Map really dose put it into perspective that he’s been through ALOT! Alot more than i remebered. Honestly it makes me wanna make something like this, but with EVERY truama he’s been through. Also it makes me like later Arc Firestar better too.
Finally someone who acknowledges all the pain, loss, and grief Firestar went through. Most of the fandom sees Firestar as being overrated, perfect, boring, and flawless, but you've managed to show what most people don't see. Firestar lost so much, yet he still stayed strong. His first apprentice was disabled and forced to give up her dreams of becoming a warrior, and his nephew, Cloudpaw, who was also his apprentice, was kidnapped by twolegs and Fireheart thought he'd never see him again. Bluestar and Yellowfang, both motherly figures to Fireheart and Bluestar being his mentor, died, and no one really acknowledges that. Graystripe left to raise his kits in RiverClan, Whitestorm died, then both of Firestar's daughters went missing along with his best friend, and Cinderpelt died.

A lot of people don’t realise all the pain FireStar went though. Here is a list, but there is also many more:
He was separated from his sister at birth, he left his friend, he had to deal with the fact one of his friends was anxious all the time and he couldn’t stop it, he knew that at any moment he could be killed by tiger claw, RavenPaw left the clan, grey stripe became distant to him and begun to break the code, his apprentice got hit by a car, he witnessed tiger claw try to murder BlueStar, he had to watch his noble leader slowly go insane, his friend (long tail) got blinded, SpottedLeaf died, when he went to save skyclan he witnessed so many deaths, a tree fell on him, he had to watch his clan mates die of sickness, his daughters went missing together for a long time, he was nearly killed by his own deputy, he had to watch his daughter in a toxic relationship, his granddaughter was presumed dead for ages, his friend went missing for so long, he had to leave his old home where he made so many memories, he always through that HE was the cause of blue stars death, his granddaughter died in the great battle, his childhood crush died for the second time in the great battle, he had to leave greystripe, sandstorm ect while he died, he watched his enemy get defeated by a tiny cat. There is SO MUCH more but I don’t feel like writing it in.
In case you didn’t read the second series Brambleclaw save Firestar it was Hawkfrost who took his sixth lifes

Yes! Finally someone shows how traumatic Firestar’s life was! I know that there are worse of cats, but that makes everyone forget about his losses.
Nobody is talking about how miserable and lonely he felt when graystripe first started seeing silverstream, then moved to riverclan to be with his kits, or how terribly guilty he felt when squirrelpaw was on the journey because he thought their arguing had tore her away, and then how he felt so distraught when leafpaw was taken away by two legs. When he got leafpaw back, he then had to be told that his best friend was taken too. If you really look into it, firestars depression really hits at this point, everyone says graystripe is dead but firestar is in heavy denial. I hear people say it was annoying how firestar wouldn’t choose a new deputy, but what I see is him mentally breaking down. What I loved about firesand in the first series was how when firestar became leader, the thing he hated most was not sleeping in the warriors den with his friend and asked sandstorm to sleep with him there because he felt lonely, it was so cute. But, in twilight, where everyone is hammering it down for firestar to get a new deputy and that graystripe is dead, sandstorm isn’t sleeping with him in the leaders den, it’s small, but if you look out for it, she’s stated to come out of the warriors den. I think this means that firestar has asked to be alone with his thoughts, because he isn’t ready to think clearly. This is firestars saddest moments, and yet, it’s not even touched on in this map.

solarstarr _ criticism is something a lot of artists do like, as it means they can improve on their art. The comment was clearly a joke, and I’m sure even the artist themself may get a laugh from it. It wasn’t even criticism, as I said before just a joke. You shouldn’t be taking offence if somebody makes a joke or critiques someone’s work.
I like the idea of this MAP, in the normal series we just see Firestar sad for a few moments but then move on and we don't really get to see a scene where all these deaths and hardships come crashing onto him making him reflect on everything and give him a moment to cry.

It’s easy to forget how much trauma and loss Firestar has suffered through through out his life. From the moment he stepped foot into the forest for the first time, he had more to prove and fight for than any Clan cat in recent history. He had to solve a murder, protect his Clan from said murderer, take over leadership of the Clan when Bluestar lost it, nearly lost at least two apprentices, lose two deputies, kill his own half-brother, bring back SkyClan from the dead, lead his Clan to new hunting grounds with the other Clans, nearly lost both his daughters, lost almost all his lives in a violent matter, and save the Clans AGAIN from Tigerstar one last time. By the end of his leadership, he had to feel so exhausted. I wouldn’t be surprised if he suffered from PTSD attacks and depression spells because of all the trauma he had to endure in his lifetime.
This is one of the sweetest maps I have ever seen. Firestars sadness,in my opinion,is very underrated. He’s a great guy who cares and loves the cats around him. He have lost so many cats in his life. Yellowfang,who was like a mother to him. Bluestar,the cat who,even if she screamed at him several times,loved and respected him. Whitestorm,who was there to show him the world and help him from the beginning. Cinderpelt,his apprentice who he took all the plane for. Onestar,they started of as best friends but then ended up becoming big enemies. He have lost so much. And to think that his bloodline had so sad endings and story’s doesn’t help. And I love that Sandstorms there for him. She’s a sweet and understanding mate. But what I’m trying to say is that Firestar is a underrated character when it comes to his grief...I have nothing more to say except that this a fantastic map. Everyone did an amazing job at everything. From little details to colors. It’s amazing and one of the best maps I have ever seen
I feel like it’s incredibly underrated how much struggle and hard ship Firestar went through in his life. He lost so many cats that meant so much to him and when he finally got a family they ended up lying about their own heritage and made the other calm leaders look down upon him
I imagine that Firestar had periods of time spent in tears and guilt. The poor boi went thru so much. Lost so many cats in so many different ways, but felt like he always had to stay strong. These periods of grief are often spent with Sandstorm, the only one he felt could truly understand him, and still relish being his mate. As soon as he felt the sadness fading, it would hit him once more, often harder than before.
(Ex: After finding guilt in what happened to SkyClan, his daughters are born. Not long after, they both go missing. As soon as they return, he is told that he has to leave the only home he has ever known.)
Maybe he thought that if he let his clan mates see his weakness, they wouldn’t trust him anymore. He didn’t want to shut them out and slowly go insane like Bluestar did.

Gosh, I love Firestar so much. Seeing this made me want to ball my eyes out. No one thinks about what he had to go throw. Firestar will always be the best warrior in my heart 💞

Not gonna lie the crying sound was pretty annoying, but the animation was spot on. Firestar is still one of my favorite characters, especially with what’s going on now with the imposter and all that crap. It really makes me miss him.

I mean, he was also pretty young-not, like, a kitten, but young adult by human standards-when the first book started, so that may have contributed to it a little
this is honestly the best recent warriors map i’ve seen, i love the way it portrays everything Firestar went through and he doesn’t show these emotions in the books because he has to stay strong as a leader. It’s difficult to make an interesting map to a song with no lyrics and just a repeated melody, and I think you did really well! The animation was great also so well done everyone who took part

I was waiting when you published it. The planning, choosing artists (animators) - everything looks really great!
I especially liked the Intro, to be honest. It always sets the mood, tempo, main plot features, etc. The designs are also good. The only thing that didn't go to my taste was the dark stripes on the Squirrel's legs, but then who how likes. Otherwise, I was happy to see this MAP. You are a great fellow:)

There are no words to express how much I love Firestar as a character and just him in general.
Like not only has he been a decent leader but also has been an inspiration to a lot of us. So many cats from different clan and even his own treated him as an outcast for being a kittypet and even having being shit on in the future series too when he saved riverclan, windclan and shadowclan more then once!!
He broke a lot of rules in the warrior code BUT HE ACTUALLY HAS A GOOD REASON FOR ITT UNLIKE SOME CATS WHO HAD DUMB EXUSES FIR THEIR OWN SELFISH RESONS AND ACTIONS WHEN FIRESTAR THINKS FOR HIS CLAN AND OTHERS THAT WERE NOT EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE HIS BUSINESS TO BEGIN WITH BUT DOSE IT ANYWAY CAUSE HES SUCH A KIND AND GENEROUS SOUL AND I LOVE HIM FOR ITT!!! 🧡🧡🔥
i think his life went for too long and his story was a bit op, but my god he went through so much trauma. this has definitely made me recap on all he’s been through.
Dappletail was about a year older Bluestar and lived for about 5-6 years after Bluestar died

It’s really cool how this map manages to tell the story without any lyrics. Instead each part works to show the audience with expressions and colors how the characters feel. I’m pretty impressed with all the different way people drew fire star crying.
This just shows all the pain firestar went through and how sadstorm is always there for him.
I feel like the whole reason people say firestar is overrated is because there was never a time where you got to see that he actully had a heart. He feels things and we never got to see him being open and soft

Like ok but does the generic hero go through so much pain? Like my boi’s life was sad. He was constantly losing people he loved, wether they died or they went missing or they started to act like they were his enemy (ahem Onestar), and my boi kept going. Even when he was freaking sick as heck he still was freaking protecting his clan. Like “Oh I’m just sick, but I have lives to lose, while others don’t. So I’m gonna freaking lose a life, but never mind that part....” OH AND WHEN HE DIED I FREAKING TOOK A BREAK FROM THE SERIES FOR 2 MONTHS! ummm....also I’m pretty sure my boi had some form of anxiety but uhhhhh....ya know that ain’t important

So many people talk and notice how sad Crowfeather, squirrelflight, Brambleclaw, Jayfeather, Hollyleaf, Crookedstar, Tallstar, Bluestar, and many others. Which of course their stories are sad. But no one really talks about Firestar which shocks me.
Not a big fan of Firestar, but damn does this make me realize what he's been through... This makes my soul cry, mostly because I can relate (as much as you could relate to a book character).
I love Firestar.

Seriously I see so many Maps About Firestar Looking High And Mighty as well a Kind,brave and Overall a Good leader And Yet there all missing something I haven't Seen many maps Focusing on Firestar's Challenges, Devastating, and Even the fall of everyone he cared about (For Example: Spottedleaf,Yellowfang, Bluestar, As well as many others) he had to keep going If I had all that over my shoulders I wouldn't have done what he Did, Firestar Went threw that and Still suffered Greatly...
Don't You Dare forget About the Big reveal about Leafpool and Squirrelflight sercet when I was reading the Book I honestly thought What was happening In Firestar's Head, His Daughter Breaking the code, and Being looked down by Both Riverclan and Shadowclan
Yet He still fought even with all that Pain within him..

Do you ever wonder if Firestar acts the way he does after The Prophecies begin is because he is trying his best to not let his clan know that he’s suffering. That he is constantly think about the cats that died and the ones that got hurt both mentally and physically during his life. He might act like he is the best to hide it and try to keep others from feeling the same pain he feels

This actually brought me closer to firestar
I know we all make him out to be a legend but GOSH DARN imagine how many mental breakdowns he had offscreen leading a clan as messed up as Thunderclan.
Plus, after his daughter's lives were basically crushed I can only imagine how much of a breakdown he had that night.

Moral of the story never judge a book by its cover because firestar might look tough but really he has his feelings as well and I always knew he had an emotional side he just never shows it in the books I also think he quit over hatted not overatted because maybe yes in the first series yes but after words just all the drama with squrrielflight and bramblestar and all of that is more popular. but you hardly notice that firestar is there trying his best to keep the clan thriving and he does his best I wish I could say the same for bramblestar agh..😒 I wish there were more meaningful scenes in warriors or more scenes in warriors that show how the cats are really feeling like this map does so thank you for making this also firestar crying is honestly hard to watch because it makes you think how could such a strong leader have such a soft side hidden deep inside and in the shadows It makes you think though

i can feel sad, but usually i dont cry when it comes to stories.
this is one of the few times i did......the music, the imagery......but i think what got me the most....... is hearing firestar cry...
I think its good that firestar didn't end up living super long the way weve seen some of the other main character cats do. Outliving his clanmates, his friends? Making leader decisions with the knowledge that he cant save everyone? Dont put that kind of pressure on the poor guy, i doubt anything could / would drive him to a meltdown faster than survivors guilt.

this kinda makes sense. Hes never had an easy life since he came into Thunder Clan. He lost his first love as an apprentice, he lost the ability to train his first apprentice as a warrior, he watched one of his closest friends die in a fire, watching Bluestar, the strongest cat he knew, go mad and then die crushed him, he lost one of the cats who brought him to the forest once he became leader, watching those around him suffer when the monsters tore up the forest, losing the first apprentice he had to the badgers, and much more

Tbh I feel like Firestar is underrated. Everyone says he was a nosy h*e and really stupid when he was actually pretty kind and smart. He just didn't want to start tensions, the heck is wrong with THAT? People only like him when it comes to the Gray x Fire ship,,,,,,
