Something I have thought recently is what if the 8th Heroine is actually a representation of the hero of time, the seven heroines are Gerudo interpretations of the seven sages so what if the 8th represents how the hero of time did not return to combat Ganon when he broke free of the sacred realm in the adult timeline, because he no longer had the power of the master sword to travel through time. This is shown by the fact that the 8th Heroine is isolated and weaponless.
Interesting, I took it as the 8th "heroine" being Ganon. Banished to the twilight realm.
I figured the 8th Hermione was actually Zelda because she is captured and became the new sage.
I always thought that the 8th heroine is a symbolism for all Links especially how the sword, much like the Master Sword, is separated from the 8th heroine
Doesn't Breath of the Wild take place on every timeline though?
i thought it was Zelda or another Link
Remember the first BotW trailer on WiiU where Link had a magic meter and then in the final state of the game they completely remove it? What if these vials are a new type of magic meter for his new arm? You start with 4, then, as you progress through the game you can upgrade it like your stamina or life.
Same thought. No sheikah slate so we need a new way to do stasis and what-not.
It's probably a form of batteries for your arm mechanics. Since the Sheikah Slate was originally supposed to have this mechanic in botw.
That's what I figure.
BotW really could have used a magic meter, and I think it intended one, but didn't have time to implement it. So instead of magic wands having "ammunition," of sorts, they simply shattered, as all things. Actually, I don't thionk the magic meter was the thing that they didn't have time to implement. Cuz that'd be relatively easy. I think the whole durability system was a crux in general for BotW not having time to implement more features. It's pretty clear crafting or repair or something was intended in BotW, considering how many redundant items there are _(why do monster parts fulfil the same purpose as insect? why do gemstones and ore exist only to be useless sell-fodder?)_
It wasn't they they didn't have time to make a magic meter. It's that they didn't have time to make a crafting system around melee weapons, and giving magic items refillable magic would make them objectively better than melee weapons.
That being said, I don't think the durability system will disappear in TotK. I think it's a good way to force players to improvise. But I think weapons will now "crack" before they shatter, and require repair. There will still be the option to shatter a weapon for double-damage, but if you care about the weapon, it can remain a permanent--if not impervious--part of your arsenal.
I assume we'll even be able to upgrade weapons durability and abilities. Probably using gemstones. But now I'm really spitballing.
Yeah its a battery meter
Here's a theory: What if Ganondorf is actually dead in Tears of the Kingdom, and that the real enemy is the Malice itself? King Rhoam said he had a transformation into malice, and it seems that Ganon is more concerned with consuming Hyrule rather than ruling it.
Ehh, sounds a bit bland story-wise...
What if, after thousands of years, Demise himself is using the Malice to gain dominion over Hyrule? What if the Calamity of 10,000 years ago was an initial burst, evidencing Demise's imminent return fueled by the hatred of Ganondorf?
Will Ganondorf is a corpse like the Sheikah monks in the shrines. Which appeared to be sealed within a time seal. If you really think about it. Ganondorf might have been sealed with a 2 sealed power. One within time we’re he couldn’t died. The other being that Zonai energy to keep him from escaping. This just my speculation but at some point. Ganondorf realized he couldn’t revive. Maybe started realizing he could turn his spirit into malice. Which meaning it’s demon malice. Which meaning Ganon is a demon. The original incarnation being Demise is also a demon too. Possibly that malice might have broken the time seal. Leaving the body to rot and become mummified.
Yes ganon and ganondorf one of the same. But let’s look at this way. When Ganon was first ed sealed in the evil realm. And once again in the imprisonment war from link to the past. He still had that desire to rule Hyrule. But when he was revived first time. The ritual was botched cause twinrova wasn’t purified. Ganon at that point just wanted to destroy. Couldn’t grasp who he was or didn’t have those original memories. A mindless boar who nothing but destruction. Which might explain why the calamity is like that.
Also there’s link between worlds. Ganon and Yuga became Yuga-Ganon. Eventually Yuga mind couldn’t handle Ganons destructive mind. Eventually Ganon took over completely but was eventually destroyed. Zelda one Ganon was revived. Had the knowledge of the 2 triforce shards. But not the third cause it was sealed at Great palace. Ganon was revived twice. Once in child timeline. But wasn’t in the adult timeline.
Look at the world of Hyrule in Botw. It’s a merge world of across the time periods. Yea could be possible timelines merged together. Calamity Ganon would have retained that boar of destructive mentality. The malice itself realized if you can’t rule something. Just destroyed and rebuild it has new. A new world were Hyrule doesn’t exist. But rule has if only demons exist. It could mean Ganon get revived or Demise will be revived. The way that kingdom in the sky. Triforce does still exist. Possibility in that sky kingdom. Maybe we’re the malice it’s going to revive. Either the original incarnation or Ganon itself. Keep in mind this my speculation. I know it’s thrown over the place. But something I thought over for sometime.
Well what if when Zelda emerged all the timeline she also bring the ganondolf/ganon with it and by ganondolf knowing that try to take advantage of this merge but got stop by zonal or who ever hand that is.What if demised lived in ganon this whole time waiting for the opportunity to escape and that time did came but he fail.
Because the calamity was only mAlice(hate) there wasnt a mind behind it
I think the malice behind it ist Red Like the malice from the 1 trailer
One of my favourite things about this video was that thought about three shieka tribes representing the three pieces of the triforce. Very interesting idea
20:30 "OH MY GOSH is that a Zonai swirl?!?" That made me laugh much harder than it should have 😂
Ok but did you like my drawing? 😤
@@NintendoBlackCrisis Absolutely, your art is unique and distinctive.
@NintendoBlackCrisis the drawing was great 🤣
Same! 😂😭
Always my favorite part of the video 😂😂😂
Something else of note from that new Link figure is that we can clearly see his brace now has the Hyrule family crest on it. The shoulder pad also has it. It wasn’t like that in botw and it also wasn’t like that in the first trailer. It also has the design on Link’s champion’s tunic.
It's fun to wildly speculate that it's because he's now a part of the royal family, if you catch my drift
@@kit76149 lmaoo
#2: The shadow clan and the Zonai might just be using the same type of magic.
#28: Ganondorf was probably battling his jailor and managed to break the seal which is why there is malice flowing through the spirit jailor. The clips of the first teaser might be in this order if what my source tells me is true: Prison entrance -> Link and Zelda travel with a pack animal -> they rest near some water -> they walk over a bridge -> they find a mural depicting Ganondorf on horseback with a trident -> Link and Zelda help each other get down to Ganondorf's prison as well as bringing their torch to the prison -> they find Ganondorf -> spirit energy forms letters -> spirit energy disappears (Ganondorf wins his battle against the spirit jailor) -> Malice eruption -> malice flows out of the prison entrance and consumes a rat on the stairs -> Zelda turns around in horror -> Zelda falls down with Ganandorf as a result of the earthquake -> Ganondorf's fingers start moving -> the Great demon king moves his head towards her as eyes of pure malice and hatred ignite in his once empty eye sockets.
#38:I believe Ganondorf's true body didn't have any involvement during the 10000 year old battle against Calamity Ganon other than being the secret hidden source the malice offshoots originate from, something that was probably forgotten since his imprisonment.
#40: Link is likely wearing different outfits one of which removes his ponytail like the Ancient armor in BOTW. Time travel is a possibility in the game though I don't believe the outfits count as evidence like some people believe.
The rat which was caught in the malice probably turn into a enemy to distract link while he try to get to zelda
@@dennisjohnson1809 we see the rat on the same stairs that we can spot at the prison entrance(a location that is too far away from Ganondorf for the rat to do any distracting) another rat or the same rat can be seen in one of the clips with the pack animal
zonai: the sheikah can use our magic a little bit, as a treat
I really don’t want the Zonai to be a branch of the Sheikah or the Twili. I really just want them to be their own thing.
Here's a thought I had about the observatory and children being able to see the dragons. Purah is the director of the lab and has turned herself back into a child. Was this so she could see the dragons?
no, it was said that her turning into a child was an accident.
Well, that Rito In the Dinraal dlc quest says he can see it
Excellent point
Her transformation I a child was an accident, she was merely trying to stop herself from aging too fast so that she would be in perfect condition to help Link when he woke.
Haven’t you read her journal? It was an accident.
Something that I’ve noticed everyone forgets about the Zonai is that Zonai is nothing but a mistranslation where it was supposed to translate to “mysterious”, as in the mysterious, unknown tribe that was there previously
I know it seems like Nintendo just leaned into the Zonai theories, but the origin is worth keeping in mind imo
The Bokoblins shown on the tapistry have all huge horns on their head just like we've seen in the first trailer. In BotW, they don't have that, so that might help us place this tapistry on a certain timeline ; if it happened in the past, is Link sent in the past eventually? Maybe the game will happen in both BotW world and the Hyrule from 10, 000 years ago!
I think the same thing. That's why in the trailer he's wearing two distinct era's outfits... a more modern one, and what looks like a prehistoric tunic.
Well with the stone talus with the bokoblins on it they have bigger horns so it could be a prophecy predicting future
@@babyturtleshoe8451 or they're an offshoot race that evolved into modern moblins.
The “meeting of lovers” inside of the ouroboros is interesting (if that’s what it says, not sure if I think it does yet). It reminds me a lot of Link and Zelda: always meeting, always being reborn. A cycle that never ends and never quite feels complete. I think this game really might end the curse that started with the first Link and Zelda of Skyward Sword. Or maybe that started with Hylia and the God that connects to Link and the triforce of courage.
Edit: Just noticed your thumbnail perfectly encapsulates the “meeting of lovers” feeling I’m getting at lol.
To be honest this meeting of lover remind of that one Avatar episode when two lover was forbidden to see ea h other but they dig a secret tunnel so they can be with each other and funny enough the rocks that glow green only glows if the person lead by love I hope you know what I’m talking here the reference in talking about. The legend of avatar-S2E2 the cave of two lovers.
@@dennisjohnson1809 Is that the one with the giant moles that will obey if they listen to music? Lol 😆
@@dennisjohnson1809 yes! I remember that episode. That is funny that they have the green glow too.
@@robwaters8848 secret tunnel
@@dennisjohnson1809 The Zelda team must've been Avatar fans.
The vials on his hip and the collecting of them you suggested reminds me of the spirit tears from twilight princess.
I was laughing so hard on the last one about Link's voice will be 🤣
They had us in the first half, not gonna lie
if cris pratt so much as voice acts link’s breathing i will personally murder him ngl
his voice would sound so wrong coming out of link tho
Gameplay wise I think it'd be cool to see Tears of the Kingdom take an Elden Ring approach, where you have smaller mini dungeons throughout the world that build you up into the large Legacy dungeons, there being 8 of them to match up with what looks to be a tear collector on Link's hip. Great vid as always!
Whenever NBC uploads, my day gets 10x better.
Same mate, same
I don't know why, but I'm kind of hoping Tears of the Kingdom will be a little inspired by Laputa. It's not my favorite Ghibli movie, but the world building was stunning and the robots would fit neatly into the lore.
I believe the figure on the throne in the new mural for TotK, is sitting on the same throne from Twilight Princess. Small little observation/theory, but I thought it might be worth pointing out.
Happy Halloween!
Happy Halloween!!!
I think it was Zeltik who had a theory a loooooong time ago that all the magic in Hyrule (eg, the blue Sheikah flames) were actually powered by the malice seeping out from Ganondorf, being funneled through the green hand. I think he may have been spot on.
They really do be usin Ganondorf as a water heater?
I never get tired of “oH my gOsH iS tHat a zOnAi sWiRl?!” 😂😂
For #4, I don’t see those soldiers facing the opposite direction. They are facing towards ganons army indicating that they are in the middle of the malice fighting the monsters.
I've never seen anybody talk about where the divine beasts are in the sequel. Also, Medoh can fly, and with sky islands present, maybe thats how we first discover the sky islands?
19:25 That's totally a returning enemy, I have no doubt and it will a replacement for the Guardians, because they got destroyed at the end of BoTW. It is most likely an Eyegore made by the Yiga Clan, but it could also be a Totem Armos (less likely).
i dont think its an enemy. given the egg like symbols that can be seen on it and the egg totems you can see laying around the sky islands makes me think its some kind of sky god or something.
It'd make sense rather than them just ditching the code and rig for the guardians. Might as well tweak and repurpose them for a new enemy. Though, it would be cool if they were more mobile guardians were.
Naydra’s eyes when it’s corrupted by malice look exactly like the mysterious statue depiction.
What if?
The green hand acts as a power source for the zonai, extracting malice and turning it into zonai's sprit energy. This explains why they are more advanced than the sheika and other tribes of hyrule
Check out the Throne of the Twili, I wouldn't doubt if it's Midna or her Descendant. Also behind the Throne, is the symbol of the 1 hit obliterator.
Link has the soul of the hero, so another one helping him makes no sense when there is only one that reincarnates.
I mean, twilight Princess link got spiritual guidance and combat training from the hero’s shade (confirmed to be the link from ocarina and majora’s mask) so it’s not that much of a stretch
Twilight Princess literally disproves your comment. 🤡🤣
The link from twilight princess could actually be the soul of the link from wind waker, because it still makes no sense, when it's stated in skyward sword that there was one with the soul of the hero not two which we know is connected to breath of the wild.
@@purehyper124 Bro. It’s Ocarina of Time Link. It’s literally been confirmed to be OoT Link. There is no Wind Waker Link in Twilight Princess. Where are you getting this info from? It’s all wrong.
@@IamSupreme333 You said it's wrong but then there's a contradiction saying there's only one and then another was saying there is two, and is nothing explaining how two would even be possible. So I am sure that there is just one in the game, as stated in the closest game linked to this one. So the only way this could possibly make sense is if it's just another person named link that's similar, but it's not actually the one with the one and only soul of the hero, because you can't be using the soul and also talking to the spirit at the same time, that makes no sense at all.
Not a lot of evidence behind this theory, but I think it's possible that the deity on the mural in the most recent trailer could potentially be the sage Satori, who died and became the Lord of the Mountain.
Assuming that the seven tear-shaped objects on the mural are connected to the seven sages, who are confirmed to be represented by the seven heroines, then it's possible that the eighth heroine is symbolic of an eighth sage who could be Satori, since we know Satori was a sage and the deity is placed on the mural next to the other seven tears.
Also, another random theory that's connected, when the Lord of the Mountain is on Satori Mountain, the peak glows a greenish color that is a similar color to the green particles we've seen in all of the TotK trailers so far and this would make sense assuming the deity is ALSO the owner of the green hand from the 2019 trailer that is a source of these green particles. The color also matches that of luminous stones wich are said to contain the souls of the dead and also the particles that appear around the ghosts of the champions and King Rhoam, and Satori is also dead.
(Edit): Great video by the way! Glad you finally posted! Your channel is the main reason I've gotten so deep into Zelda theories and lore, and I really appreciate all the effort you put into it. Keep up the good work!
The soldiers at 5:08 are absolutely facing Gannon's forces lmao, unless your nose is on the back of your head
Speaking of Princess Mononoke, my VERY first thought when seeing that entity surrounded by the seven tears is that it looks an awful lot like that Deer God creature thing from Princess Mononoke, aka the one that the bad guys are trying to kill throughout the entire movie. I think it was a forest spirit or something? Been a really long time since I saw that Anime. But yeah, you can't tell me that entitiy doesn't look awfully similar.
Building off theory three, what if we had a third game in this kingdom? The first being focused on the Sheika (wisdom), second Zonai (courage), third Yiga/ Ganon (power)
Aerial combat would be NEXT LEVEL if you could fire arrows from the back of a Loft Wing. The ability to dismount, fire a bunch, then whistle and remount would also be a fantastic way to keep combat in the air.
What I want to happen in the beginning is it starts off with Link and Zelda comes with them for a new mission and they go to the caves under Hyrule kingdom to explore when they come into a big sanctum and it seems very creepy in there when they come past the corpse of Gannon Dorf somehow Zeldas powers awaken Gannon Dorf and he wakes up and the whole sanctum starts falling apart Zelda falls under the floor link tries to reach for hand but she falls When it’s too late then Link gets up and he tries to fight Gannon Dorf and it’s a brutal fight and it ends up with Gannon Dorf chopping links arm off from the elbow down on his right arm. Then he wakes up in another one of the shrines of resurrection and he has a new robotic arm like we saw in the trailer that can have many attachments and that will help him go on his journey to help Zelda and in the final battle it’s pretty brutal but link eventually defeats Gannon Dorf with a cliffhanger.
22:32 "He's so cool!"
I love how level headed you always are with your videos. I like you don’t want to know too much going in, so I’m very careful who I watch and you are always one I can count on to not give too much :-)
Here's my theory: in the opening shot of the most recent trailer we see the mysterious figure in the mural surrounded by 7 objects, these are believed to be the 7 tears of the kingdom, but if the viles on links belt are ment to collect the tears, then that means there has to be eight tears, so what if the 7 heroines are the ones who shed to tears and the 8th tear is missing just like the 8th statue, the heroines are clearly the gerudos representation of the 7 sages so what if the mysterious figure in the murals is the 8th heroine aka the 8th sage
Heck yes!
I'm stoked for this video and for this game!
I got so excited for the video and then realized it was brand new and became so much more hype
I believe the tears of the kingdom may refer to something similar to Skyward sword when Link is collecting the tears in the three regions in order to receive the master sword. Similarly in TotK, he may be going again on a quest to obtain the teras of ancient energy to restore the master sword and maybe to get rid of the malice curse affecting his arm.
I theorized the Zonai being a Courage-worshiping offshoot of the Sheikah positively _years_ ago. Most people back then thought I was an idiot, as they were "obviously dark and evil".
Sheikah - wisdom
Zonai - courage
Yiga? - power
06:21 i have a feeling this is the Zelda we see in Skyward Sword, when Demise tried to steal her power as the „new“ Hylia
My ultimate hope is that the triforce combines in a way to face the last vestiges of Demise. Separate Ganondorf from The curse of hate. Idk I think it would be great for the end of the timeline personally.
the last theory had me excited and then depressed in a span of two seconds
Here’s my theory: the Zonai worshipped Gannon, and they thought he was some kind of diety. After helping him and constructing a ritual room to transform Gannon into a lich, they were sacrificed to Gannon to increase his power.
I would love to see Demise's curse, Ganondorf become a playable character, the three (Link, Zelda, & Ganondorf, each holding a part of the Triforce) team up to defeat a greater evil. Just my opinion
If I wanted to play as Zelda I’d buy the Legend of Link
The "guy" near the floating/laying down Zelda looks like the King to me.
My favorite part about Zelda games is spending hours cutting the... uh... bokoblins!
If Link is indeed slowly being corrupted by the malice in his arm....I smell a tragic boss fight with a playable Zelda
I don't think it's very accurate to name this "40 DIFFERENT theories", this is just a regurgitation of random details but I understand the hustle
Seeing this after playing the game is interesting seeing what could have happened
Ok listen. Exact quote from the story of calamity Ganon by the way.
"But with it came a prophecy. The resurrection of calamity Ganon was inevitable, and the power meant to defeat it lie deep underground."
IT NEVER MEANT THE GUARDIANS! Everyone probably knows this already, but this was such a coll realization I had recently.
Man people had no clue how sad and dark this game would be, like Zelda sacrificing herself so link can avenge rauru and Sonia who Zelda saw as the great parents she never had. That shi got me crying
All of the soldiers are facing the same direction.
It’s even clearer when you zoomed in on the faces.
The Maloce is trying to corrupt Link into the new Demise. It's what Calamity Ganon was supposed to do before Zelda saved Link.
Show me the Link!
@@stewgems4256 In the final memory the guardian never takes its aim away from Link even after Zelda comes forward to protect Link. This is a very injured link and you would think they would want to kill Zelda.
There is a theory that the brights corrupted the bodies of the other champions into themselves.
The original prophecy was a fake as in it was meant to get the people of the timeline to uncover the divine beasts and guardians because Calamity Ganon needs them to defeat the hero and Zelda. What you see in the tapestry is actually the guardians surrounding the hero and Zelda rather than helping
Calamity Ganon is the reset Hyrule. Once every 10000 years he comes and wipes out the world and lead the timeline back to skyward sword. The Zelda of this Era isn't supposed to awaken before the hero falls and is taken over. This hero becomes Demise in the beginning of the reset timeline with the Fi in the master sword becoming Ghirahim.
The Zelda normally awakens after the hero's fall and becomes the new Hylia but this Zelda broke the chain due to her love for Link but normally they don't fall for him which explains all the zeldas that do not fall in love with the heros of their time. Skyward swords Zelda always falls for the Hero specifically to show that in the age of Calamity, the Zelda must fall in love with the hero to stop the reset.
However, now they must destroy the final Malice once and for all. The Ganondorf they find isn't any Ganondorf we know but the was the first in this multi millenia cycle who constantly gives off the malice to keep the Demise curse going. They were originally going to destroy the world but that hand, whoever it belongs to, stopped it but can't keep all the Malice at bay.
The only issue is that by bringing Link, the master sword and Zelda all to the origin of the Malice, they gave it one last chance to corrupt link into Demise which is why we see the Malice attack the master sword and his arm rather than just kill Link outright. It's why we see the black creeping up Links shoulder in the trailers as the Malice slowly turns him into Demise. But the hand decides to try and keep Link safe as much as possible which is why it attaches to him over the Ganondorf.
All the while this is happening, the still sleeping Hylia awakens when Zelda is pushed off the cliff. She senses the Malice trying to turn Link so now is unconsciously summoning the sky islands to create the new skyloft.
Now it's up to Link and Zelda to prevent Link from becoming the new Malice and finally cut off the curse forever.
@@showingthelinks8441 I was actually referring to your name but I think what you have written is very insightful. Now I am gonna have to do more research!
i truly believe that the gates lead to place above the clouds where skyloft existed and part of this game will involve the barrier between hyrule and that place being gone, it would explain where the flying islands came from and where the zonai went, it serves to bring everything full circle (like the ouroboros) it would also further the connection with the master sword appearing to be broken, it was created in skyward sword and now we're returning to the land we left in that game, possibly reforging the master sword, enhancing it through modern invention as well this time
I'm playing twilight princess. Just revealed the first light spirit. The spirit appears by starting as a reverse tear drop.
It looked a lot like the green reverse tear drop in the trailer for tears of the kingdom
Wonder if most of the malice was being extracted and stored, but the seal was imperfect and much of it seeped out and that's what we fight
Theory: The 8th heroine is Link from ocarina of time. The statue was removed just as Link was removed from the adult timeline, he also does not have his sword because when the hero of time disappeared he left his sword behind, also the text is reversed as a reference to link being left handed and the world being reversed in Twilight Princess to make him right handed. The smaller statues in the yiga hideout has all eight because they represent the child timeline where all 8 characters remained. I guess the missing 8th could represent the downfall timeline as well.
A related theory is my dragon break theory. All three timelines merged when all three timeline’s triforces were whole at the same time and were able to heal the timeline. Perhaps at the end of Zelda 2
I LOVE the idea of OOT Link being the 8th heroine!! It makes so much sense actually?? I am going to be rotating this in my mind
My theory on the game story is that it’ll be like ‘the mummy’. Ganondorf is collecting vials from each of the temples to restore himself and Link turns up just a little too late each time. Then bang, he’s all powerful fully restored mummy and a nightmare to kill.
All I want is to be able to fight a fully restored ganon and be able to play post hyrule
That Chris Pratt joke is scarier than anything I’ve watched this Halloween.
At 5:00 you’re talking about the mural depicting a battle and the soldiers on the side with the malice, I don’t think there’s anything to look at there because they’re not holding out their weapons, they look like they’re holding out their arms in a curved waving towards their selves like “rally to me” or a “come this way” gesture
Edit: also, something that’s been bothering me a little is that the labyrinths have been speculated to be made by the sheikah to imitate the zonai for the use of trials. And one of the biggest supporting details is the dragon head carvings being upside down. In tears if the kingdom, the labyrinths are floating. What if when they originally made landfall, they landed upside down, and the labyrinths we see in BOTW are just the footprints and foundations.
My running theory I've been working on is that tears of the kindom will serve as the ending of the timeline by looping time all the way back to skyward sword. We all know Nintendo doesnt like dealing with the timeline so closing off what we have and leaving something as a small breaking off point could serve as a way to end it while starting a new more streamlined timeline. We see that at the very least time manipulation is a part in the game and I dont feel like it's that big of a stretch to bring full time travel of sorts in again as they have multiple times before.Obviously seeing sky islands again triggers thoughts of sky loft, But we also know that the sky realm still exists as we see the dragons traveling between it and hyrule. Plus it would be pretty poetic to defeate demise once and for all by trapping him in the same loop that he started.
In the scene that shows the army of bokoblins and stuff 5:16 the moblins appear to have horns which as far as I know, only happened after the events of the first game, so to me this is a kind of prophecy?
My personal theory plotwise in regards to Zeldas role in the new game is that she'll probably be written in more of a "companion" type role. I think she may be working in a lab, creating all the new tech/armor/weapons we've been seeing link use. It would fit with botw's characterization of her with her fascination with shiekah tech, and in one clip we see what looks like Link listening to a sort of golden glow-the same color as Zeldas magic. Maybe she discovered a way to talk to him long-distance. While I wish she would be made playable, I don't think it's very likely, and I'd rather see her take on a supporting/companion role rather than just be killed or kidnapped again. Also I just like the scientist/archeology vibes
Your videos are good. I like your narration
I really hope the story is more up front this time around rather then being hidden details like the first game
I'll approve of Nintendo doing the "this is really the beginning of Skyward Sword" idea if they make it canonically clear that the timelines stayed separated, and if they don't involve time travel. Rather than a bootstrap paradox of Link and Zelda creating their own curse, you'd have an endless branch of Skyward Swords that will always eventually branch out to more Skyward Swords, thus shedding doubt on whether or not the first game in the timeline was truly the beginning of the cycle.
The games not even out yet, and there's all these detailed theories, like HOW?!
What if those vials are to slow the corruption in Links arm? Like the Owl Lady's Potion. We have to collect/ find this rare potion probably in dungeons and take it on a regular basis, or Link we'll grow weaker or become corrupted.
Maybe when we collect enough we can fix the Master Sword? Like its connected to Link and since he's infected, so is the sword.
Idk thats my theory.
I at least want Link to say Zelda's name.
I read a theory somewhere I can't remember that says the Rito come from a mix between the Zora and the Ooca, and that theory said that maybe they where related in a certain way because in TP you can find both hooks in the Zora and Ooca dungeons respectively and that it would make sense considering the Ooca are a race that could actually fly, like the Rito, so, who knows, but I did like it
Here’s a theory: similar to the Witcher 3 with Ciri, the player will be able to periodically switch from link to Zelda for bits of more linear and more focused sections
In the most recent trailer, you can actually see a corner of a floating island where the lost woods was, meaning it like starting floating, the example people are using im pretty sure is from faron tho lol.... so i dont consider that a good reasoning lol
Edit: also, i have a theory regarding the monsters, what if the reason they have horns is cause of ganons return, they are in there prime/apex state, meaning they will be stronger, and possibly, smarter
Awesome video and happy Halloween
I'm getting a Majora's Mask vibe from this. Four points of the map plagued by natural (or supernatural) disasters. In MM you had to do a mini-dungeon/sidequest and learn a key song to accessing the temples.
Note the green toga wearing Link looks just like the hero in the tapestry. I bet a lot of gameplay will involve travelling into the past (or just mentally into an ancestor). Then you have to solve some puzzles in the past before you can get past the hurricane or malice eruption.
it would be cool if loft wings were in the sky area but they are untamed and feral. so they would be ridden like any other wild animal, aside the fact they could fly
Crackpot theory. Ganondorf is playable at some point in an un winnable fight against the incarnation of Link that bested him before being sealed away
I have a theory concerning the different looking malice... what if this malice is a deadlier, instakill type of malice? Considering the fact it's seen near death mountain AND hyrule castle, it could be a sort of roadblock until link reaches a point in the game where he can safely dispell it? That could also explain why the master sword itself was literally eaten away by the very thing it opposes, because it wasn't honed enough for that level of concentrated malice? Maybe the tears will repair and hone the master sword? What do you all think?
That last Chris prat one got me 😂
I’ve been watching your content for about 2 years now and I have yet to be disappointed, keep up the great work!
11:12 those tree roots look similar to the one in Faron so I find it more likely to be from there
My theory is that these games will eventually turn into a trilogy. So we’ll have Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom, and my personal theory, Eye of the Malice.
Okay, new crack theory!
What if the unknown diety on the carving is someone we already met. Someone in the original BoTW.
What if it is.. THE HORSE GOD?! They have similar hair, both wear a mask and the horse god has pointy fingers like the zonai hand. They also got the creepy vibes.
The only problem is that the horse god doesn't really have.. limbs. But perhaps it was them back in their full glory!
Ganon killed the hero's horse and Malanya the horse god threw literal hands
What if..?
The Hand is Link of OoT?
The woman in Zelda’s dream is Midna?
The malice is Demise?
I’m trippin’ rn *smokes in desperation*
The figure to the right is the king unable to help as his daughter is taken.
What if the Sky Kingdom isn't in BOTW because it was destroyed and after deafening Calamity Ganon it's Link's job to rebuild it?
OOOOH!! I just noticed the Zonai Symbols on the ground during the glider shot are animals, the left being a fish and the second being a boar.
The boar was their symbol for power
Maybe the vials are keeping Link alive? Or refilling energy of his arm or something similar.
The vials could be related to powers used like that slate, could be fuses, or keys, or even a type of medicine to stop the presumed corruption.
My thought! Maybe one vial= one use (or a higher conversion rate for higher ranked ones).
We already have a lot of problems but I wonder what will happen in hirul warriors age of calamity can you theories on that pls
So many theories on the zonai going to the skys and so few about them coming from there.
I think this game is highly related to Twilight Princess. When you brought up the Twilight Tribe (I may have remembered that name incorrectly, I've played very little TP) and its similarities to the Zonai(?) architecture in the trailers, I remembered how Ganon's mumified body has a headpiece very similar to that which Ganon was wearing in TP. And, it's probably just me, but Midna's body's texture looks somewhat similar to Link's arm
I’m thinking the same about Link’s arm!
That and the vessel of light that held the tears you collected as Wolf Link in TP is kinda similar to the vials link is carrying on his belt in Tears of the Kingdom.
I think you’re onto something there
its VERY unlikely that this will happen, but personally I really wanna see the Devine beasts champions come back and possibly get resurrected. maybe some kind of collectable is needed to ressurect Ganondorf, but that same thing can be used to ressurect the champions, so we have a sort of race against ganon to collect whatever these hypothetical collectables are.
Or new champions rise to take their place, i.e. Sidon, Yunobo, Teba, Riju.
What if they are in this game because it’s actually a prequel
Crackpot theory, re: if Link is slowly dying from his corrupted hand. What if the darkening/corrupt tissue invades his whole body and he becomes *gasp* Dark Link!
New trailer dropped. Time to make a sequel to this XD
Sheikah = Wisdom
Yiga = Power
Zonai = Courage
Demise stated the blood of the goddess (Zelda) & ‘spirit’ of the hero (Link) who has never had to be a descendant or related, just chosen. Since you technically can complete the game without ever finding the master sword, perhaps the Zonai don’t feel they are ready to reappear to help the hero, maybe because they chose the wrong hero before, Gannondorf, and will not reappear until they have to knowing he has reappeared. His hair looks an awful lot like the Zonai armor.
4:18 The Interlopers/twili are also theorized to be an offbranch of the Sheikah. If the zonai are also an offbranch of the sheikah, this can possibly strengthen the connection between twili and zonai. Further strengthening this connection is the location of the object meant to reference the Mirror of Twilight in Breath of the Wild. It's located in Palmorae ruins, which have zonai characteristics and are most likely zonai ruins.
big brain moment: the green glow hand looks like ganondorf's hand. just compare them. so maybe ganondorf's spirit (the hand the same colour as spirit energy and same shape) is trying to revive his body. and then does and that is why ganondorf went snap crackle and pop.
My favorite theory about the "beautiful woman" from Zeldas dream is that she's Fi from skyward sword, Aka the spirit of the master sword. Especially since in one of the new totk trailers link draws the master sword and we can hear her theme/jingle/chime from ss
At this 8:13 he is talking about the character depicted in the stone it can be the sage of satori mountain
