lol No problem, I unfortunately recently lost my guy to swim bladder. It was hurtful to see him go! 😟 The clown loaches are still in the 75 grow out tank but growing quickly. They'll be in the main 210 in no time.
Great video man! This was well worth the wait! Is it normal for some of them to have a super slight upwards curve on their belly? I just did a 2 week treatment for internal parasites following your method and am paranoid they might not have gone away. All poop looks good though now.
Thanks bro, usually that curve on the belly is sunken belly which indicates internal parasites. If you noticed my guy flava flave has a sunken belly as well but hes just coming off a round of medication. But yea, Keep an eye on the poop and make sure they arent spitting out food. They should fatten up soon.
Kave your a real one. I just bought a 10 gallon for my 5 year old with a couple tetras and Gouramis. But now I’m starting to get into it. About how many cichlids can you have in a 55 gal tank?
Incredible fish and impeccable water! Are you polishing? If so, with what? I just bought a Fluval 207 and set it up in my 110 Cichlid tank as a polishing filter. I may have to take the direction you took by replacing my substrate because now that I have my water dialed in, they are nesting/digging and it clouds up the water somewhat.
Yes I have 3 FX6 on here, 1 is for straight polishing. Course sponges on sides, all polyfil in the center trays, with chemi pure blue and purigen in the bottom tray. Clean it out monthly. Other 2 filters go 4 months till cleaning. Planning on making a video about using a filter specifically for polishing only.
3 FX6 filters is a great reason why your water is so incredible. And I also know how militant you are with your water changes!😉 Of course now I am thinking I should have gone with something bigger than a 207 for polishing, but I am not using polyfill yet, only standard Fluval pads. It will get loaded with polyfill on the next cleaning. Thanks for sharing and helping us old timers get a little bit better at this hobby!
Great video Kev !. Ive been looking to find a video like this with just the simple names. Also i only have mbunas now but could i get away with having them togheter with peackocks in 75 gallon ?.

Thanks bro, you can go for 8-12 in a 55 depending on their size 👍
And I also know how militant you are with your water changes!😉
Of course now I am thinking I should have gone with something bigger than a 207 for polishing, but I am not using polyfill yet, only standard Fluval pads. It will get loaded with polyfill on the next cleaning.
Thanks for sharing and helping us old timers get a little bit better at this hobby!
My pleasure, Glad I'm able to help out the veterans as well!

Thanks! He one of my favorites too! 😁
Great video Kev !. Ive been looking to find a video like this with just the simple names. Also i only have mbunas now but could i get away with having them togheter with peackocks in 75 gallon ?.
Glad you enjoyed the video! I wouldnt mix mbunas with peacocks. They have different diets, temperaments, decor needs...It could be very troublesome.
I have three Mbunas in a 65gallon with 9 other cichlids so far its been good, this was before I knew the info about them that I know now, but so far so good 🤞🏾
Yea fingers crossed bro 🤞 Good luck!
