No, because I trust in my skills as a photographer. I however justify binning the 61 megapixel sensor for something with usable ISO10000, because the A7RV's low light performance is funnily enough worse than that on the a99ii.
I shoot both - A7RV is my main cam and A7Cii is my travel, etc cam. I'm mainly a portrait photographer has there are a few must haves that the A7Cii (for me) still lacks. I hope one day it gets it or I'll prob consider the A7V next year. The A7Cii lacks a fully mechanical shutter and a top SS of 1/4000. That being said, the A7Cii punches way above its weight. I will be taking it next month on my month long travel in SE Asia.
I do miss some features of the RV tho ! It does punch above it’s weight 💪🏼 In the future I’ll have a stills, video and this a7c II in my kit but for now this can do it all.
Just bought this as a B camera to my A7Siii and I am very happy with all its capabilities especially for 2 camera video shoots. It’s a GREAT hybrid camera never mind those photographers who criticize it for not having a ‘full’ mechanical shutter or 8,000 shutter speed LOL!! Have never shot 4000 shutter speed in my life and I am 71 😜
Great video, told me evetything I needed to know! I can deal with some of the compromises on the a7cii I think, especially given the price difference with the a7rv. Nice call on the 24-70 gmii, heard nothing but great things about it! My setup going forward will be the a7cii + 35mm 1.4 gm for longer youtube videos and some stills here and there, and for casual everyday shooting the (ironically much more expensive) leica q3 that I'm absolutely in love with🎉thanks again for the great video!
I'm thinking of replacing my M10 for this, but I'm concerned that the EV isn't good enough. How is it for you? Clear? Big? Details? On paper it doesn't look great.
Just wondering from which canon you have switched to sony. Even the way cheaper R8 has better video specs than the a7cII. Of Course the FX3 is a beast.
Why would you do that. Keep it. One day you will wish you didn't sell it. This is the irrationality of the photography world we see on YT. When I see headlines like this one, I cringe. It's all about the hardware, not the art. I would love the A7R5 and one day I will get it. I was that way many years ago when buying film cameras in the 70s and 80s. Finally, the day came, I got stationed in Japan. No customs are attached to the camera. It was cheaper than in the U.S. I bought my dream camera, the famed Nikon F2. I still have to this day. I don't want to sell it, but maybe one day some young kid like you would walk on hot coals to buy my F2. I would never sell the A7R5 if I bought one (on sale, of course). I'd be wearing out the shutter as fast as I can. It's a brilliant camera and one day you will regret that move.
Would you downgrade your expensive rugged camera setup for something cheaper but with better features ?

I understand you perfectly. Sony 7Cii with Sony Zeiss 55 1.8 is a perfect combo for me. Hope to see your work in future videos.

I mean if they want something else they should buy the one with a full shutter and over 4000 speed. I love to shoot images in the evening anyway so ✨
Same
I have had it since its launch and it is one of the best cameras i have ever had.
Awsome to hear !
Does this camera sit flush in your chest with a camera strap connected to it or does it tilt forward the way the a6400 does?
I mean it really depends on the lens if it’s heavy or not
Those B-Roll shots tho!!
Fuji x100VI 😎
Did the same thing! Except I bought 2 A7Cii's because I hate changing lenses. 🤣🤣
Haha valid point 😛
I haven't had a Sony since the original A7... Been itching like crazy to get another. This cam is DEFINITELY on the list..
And this one can do everything ! 😮💨
So with the manual lenes how was the ev experience? Its the only thing thats holding me back for buying one.
@@Chum_chumi EV is smaller but you can see everything you’re doing so it’s all good for me but definently test one if you can

@@jurrevandermeer4857 good to hear ✨😄 As long as your life does not depend on resolution you should be fine 🤘🏼
Great video! I am currently using the A7C mark i as my stills camera, but would love to upgrade to the mark ii.
It is indeed a nice upgrade ! 😄 Følger med på videoene dine om dagen Wasim ! Gode råd å ta med seg ☺
@@StianBerntsen Takk, Takk 😊
I have been using my A7CII for about 6 months now. I absolutely love it.
I´m sure you´ll make som great results with it 😄

@@Chum_chumi you wont even notice when using it
Kjør da! Du er rå Stian! Skyhøy kvalitet på content og produksjon 🔥 Gleder meg til å se mer!
Takk for det Eivind !😄 herfra går det bare oppover så bare å henge på 🤘
Is the Sony a7cii good that much?
Insanely good
@@StianBerntsen thanks bro ,coz I was choosing between it and a7rv
Craaaazy change!
Worth it 😎

I switched from the canon r5c to the Sony a7rV. Megapixels was no need for me so A7c II had better video specs than a7RV and here I am
Maybe I should finally switch from my A7rii ...
Ouuuf about time 📸😛

I do exactly what I want. That´s why. I live in the now. Not one day.

Sony? Re you serious? Lol Lol Lol
