Had a huge crush on one of my teachers, and the feeling was mutual. the flirting between us was subtle but intense all course. The girls in my course kept asking my I hadn't asked her out. Teacher here - i was told by every professor i ever had to:
1) never close the door. Ever.
2) never let yourself be alone with a student if at all possible.
3) keep notes of every conversation. If you're accused of something and you have detailed notes of the conversation, so much the better.
That last point isn't so.. waterproof or burnproof.
Phone recordings or an old recorder would be better
I was told to wear makeup by my principal because I looked to be the same age as my students. A police officer told me to get into class, I was teaching one of my special education students how to open his locker. I’m 42 now, I no longer have that issue.

Not a professor but in high school this teacher took up a girls phone for being on it while they were teaching. He said he was going send it to the front office where she could get her parents to pick it up. At the end of class she (maybe it was just me but) she at the end of class had very suggestively said “please Mr. [social studies teacher] I’ll do anything for my phone back.~” He repeated himself saying her parents could pick it up after school ended.
The only reason I was there to witness this was because I had missed the last class and had stayed behind to ask him questions about a assignment. I doubt he would’ve accepted the offer given he was married and his wife worked in the school. But yeah people in high school are wack

You may disagree or dislike what I’m doing but the world doesn’t revolve around you (not saying that you think it does just that, that’s the way you are currently acting right now) and people are going to do what they want. I have been an adjunct faculty member at two business schools during my career. This stuff happens more than most people think. These stories are why I never delete emails/texts, have an app to record all my phone calls, record all my office hours, and have a hydraulic door closer that can lock to always be open while I'm in my office so people can't close the door after they enter. Before anyone comments, I live in a one-party consent state and have gotten the ok from the university's legal counsel on the recording my office hours; it's even fine print on my course syllabi.
I've definitely been propositioned before and whenever it happens, I immediately send the recording to the dean. Once, I even had to defend sexual harassment claims after I refused a student's sexual advances. Recordings have been super helpful in those scenarios as it's an open-shut case for the administration and university legal counsel.

When I was a senior in HS we had a super hot English teacher, maybe early 30's at the time, and all the guys had the hots for her. One of the guys in class looked much older and more mature than his age of 18 and he flirted with her every day in class. Turns out they were an item because we saw them togather at a concert in Dallas one Sat and that was 150 mile away from where we all lived. No one in the group said anything about it ever. She was a cool teacher and we didn't want to see her get in trouble.

If something like this ever happened to me, I would walk out of my office and let somebody trusted know what was just said to me.

The truly sad part about it is that these people could have taken the classes over or done the right thing some other way.
Instead of that option, we now likely have an unknown amount of random "professionals" in the work field whose degree's are worth, Idk, I guess about 40 handjobs and couple dozen blowjobs. You may come under such a persons care some day, and you probably won't ever know it, despite truly being in danger.
There's gotta be a kill-count for people who only passed away because someone in charge of helping them, was not a proper professional, but someone who gained their way into a professional field fraudulently via prostitution.
This isn't just about cheating, this is really putting other people at risk. Major shame on the professors and other industry insiders who accept sex and other favors in exchange for credentials

I had a college professor who taught the mandatory "health" class (comprised of really bad nutritional studies that had been debunked decades earlier) who was well known for giving all her Coast Guard students an A in her class if they'd spend a weekend with her.
I never did figure out what was up with all the coasties on campus as we were 4 hours from the nearest port, but there were always a bunch of active duty guys taking classes. Never noticed any coast guard women there, but my brother said there had been one two years earlier that got her A by joining a few of the guys for a "weekend BBQ" orgy at her cabin.

Assuming your student is over 18 I'ts not really that big of deal ending up in a relationship with somebody once they have their degree in Norway. If you started regularly hooking up with former students you might get fired though as that implies a more sinister thought process going on. I actually know a girl who sort of got things on with her teacher while she was still his student. They have been together for several years now and the age gap is only 10 years or less so I guess it's not as bad. Still I would have waited until I was done with his classes.

Warning: Fits to some extent, but is anti-climatic. Just want to document this. I was in the Army and was taking a beginning typing course (do not remember why as it wasn't key to my specialty.) The teacher was a civilian, an absolutely gorgeous and stacked (means having a voluptuous figure) young woman, perhaps just out of college. Clearly she was awkward being in front of 18-22 year old hard body males. By the end of the second session, it was clear there was something going on between she and I - major chemistry. Now the bummer: I had to withdraw from the class as I got orders to report to officer training. What might have been. (Perhaps lame: My guess as to why she might have been intrigued with me is that she knew I knew she had a knock-out figure even though she dressed modestly [and that I greatly appreciated her beauty], and I treated her with utmost respect.) If my orders had come in a few weeks later, after we had assessed our interest in each other, might I have tried to stay in contact? Who can say? One of life's curveballs.
