But then I throw on ALLCAPS or baby I’m bleeding and the hype is tangible even when I’m alone.
I don’t go to concerts, though, crowds aren’t really my thing, so I can’t even imagine what a crowd at a JPEG show is like. I interpreted Volksgeist’s message as saying that in person the visceral feelings can manifest in the crowd in a way that Is difficult to achieve by yourself, and without those intense feelings taking over your thoughts, you naturally reflect on his messages more which can be more cerebral.

I very much so appreciate Peggy's approach to music as a whole. I do think he falls under the same trap of a reactionary that supports uprisings that inevitably does more harm to the same people they claim to want to help and support and give a voice to. I understand the turmoil of a darker skinned individual in America at the moment and while i'm not black I get it. The system in America inevitably helps those on top as they just have more resources. That being said I think Peggy's turn from something like Black Ben Carson to a more general target was the best move. I don't agree with the extreme shit Peggy says and wants to have happen but it's very understandable to be jaded with the world and your country and wanting to find an outlet for the inconceivable anger you garnered throughout.

Great video, the one thing that was missing was how much of his production style and inspiration comes from Throbbing Gristle. While it’s tempting to compare him to Death Grips his industrial style really comes from throbbing gristle. The harsh noise, the disturbing samples, as well as just all of the unorthodox production choices are all very much from Throbbing Gristle. His ethos of experimentation really comes from more gritty sampling of the likes of throbbing gristle, then something like death grips or yeezus which is more refined minimalistic industrial. I think that what makes him special is he takes from the core and very first industrial band rather then kind of cookie cutter formula of what we expect from industrial. In a lot of his interviews in the Veteran era he mentioned how TG was his biggest influence, but now these days as his style has gotten a bit more poppy I think it’s more on Ye. Still very cool video

3:22 that is actually “Ballad Of A Poor Man”, track 1 from the album.
“violent fighting to come again” is just a short instrumental used as an interlude, track 4 on the album

It’s about time! Jpegmafia is such an influential artist and he is just getting started. He will fr go down as one of the best artists in the music industry. For me, Peggy just did experimental music right and actually pretty listenable

I don’t think he actually cared about his country. That’s not why he fought. His experience goes much deeper. Poverty, military, abuse, violence and he’s black. Gives you a very different perspective from an average American.
Coming back to that point about the military he fought for himself. Because he didn’t have anything else to do. And that is who the military is searching for. He said it himself I think.

    You know bro.
I’m over here watching Peggy’s no jumper interview and honestly disappointed. The shots seemed to be aimed at you and the “general” music reviewer or whatever but I’m kinda tired of it.
Idk how you may feel about it if you do see it or even read this but. Keep this shit up bro. This type of content helps music grow for the public and gain interest for artist.
