Can’t wait for Peggy to sample his own nuardwuar interview
First thing I thought
Baa boom!
he's gonna sample 18:39 i know it
on god the sample sourcers are gonna be on that
I wouldn't put it past him at this point
“The only sober interview I’ve ever done.”
it's not a peggy interview if he doesn't mention something about his sobriety or lack thereof
This would’ve been WAY out there if he was on something.
The only drunk interview Nards ever done too based on the first 15 seconds 😭
I'm not gonna lie, I prefer this version of Peggy during interviews. He always has something interesting and worthwhile to talk about, but him being drunk sometimes takes away from the quality of the message.
@@radiosurgery1802 I love the drunk Peggy vibes 😌
When Peggy stays sober for a Nardwuar interview, you know he actually likes and respects him. This is awesome
or maybe he had to drive an hour and a half lmfao
@@jellofan1578 coulda gone early
idk man he was drunk on talibs show but has a lot of respect for him
Explains why he was fucked up for Fantano's interview.
No right-minded person could ever respect him lol
@@flapstick_101 you are just looking for something that isn't there. He went on Talib Kwelis podcast, someone he has tons of respect for, and threw up on the show drunk.
I think Nardwuar had the genius idea of making Peggy drive there so he would be sober lol
Hahaha true
Nardwuar getting excited like a kid to meet jpegmafia is so wholesome. I hope to have that level of enthusiasm for anything as I tack on more years.
as a huge nardwuar and Peggy fan, it was almost surreal
Not sure I can recall another interview where Nardwuar was this clearly excited and invigorated just to be around the artist. Such a joy to watch this :]

Reminds me of that one kurt interview on a balcony
Malibu. I'm too poor to actually do anything in that city but I take my girl out there pretty frequently. It's absolutely gorgeous. Even the little crappy apartment complexes have the most stunning ocean views because the city is really narrow so it's basically just one main street, a hillside and a long strip of beach.
nardwar lowkey a fan just trying to get him to sample shit😭
love to see you back rocking in the free world nardwuar 💛

I’m picturing the training montage from Rocky 3, but it’s some music geek shit between Peggy and Nard.
Says a lot for the goat.
Also best intro lmaoo nardwuar wilding
The Common interview tho
Literally
Knowing Peggy, he is most definitely actually gonna use the sample suggestions from Nardwuar unlike all the other artists that say they will but never do.
he'll literally try as hard as he can, thats the kind of artist peggy is he takes it as a challenge i love that about him.
Its also got a lot to do with sample clearings. Sometimes it migjt not be worth it to them to try and clear with the estates. Maybe they send it to him personally instead of releasing it publicly
pp
You think you know him 💅
@@John-kk8gi Peggy will release an "offline" bandcamp version them
this interview feels so much different than alot of nardwuar videos, it feels like theyre friends irl or have a deeper connection with eachother
Nardwuar seems like he's a huge Peggy fan, and Peggy probably been a big Nardwuar fan for a long time now.
@@dylanarthur5526 yeah u can feel the mutual respect they have for eachother
@@dylanarthur5526 Yeah I love how excited Nardwuar is to give Peggy stuff to potentially sample, obviously a big big fan
Peggy completely built himself from the ground up. When he was 25, he was still working multiple jobs and making no money from his music. Nardwuar also completely built this platform himself, so I think there’s the mutual respect that they each made it without needing others to lift them up.
do you think they have explored each other's bodies?
This was one of the coolest interviews Nardwar's ever done with an artist. I mean, Peggy was definitely the nicest to nardwar and sheit. Such a mutual respect that the background fitted perfectly. Great interview, great human beings
I love Peggy, he's cute
@@sa-mp5iw Regardless of how anybody feels about Drake, the hour long interview is one of the best Nardwuar interviews. Plus Drake seems like he enjoys talking and conversing so it was a very insightful interview too.
@@dylanarthur5526 I feel like Drake's biggest skill is his ability to connect with others in the industry and just enjoy talking
where did these drake simps come from
@@zdarlighter they're always there in the background, you just have to mention drake and say nice things about him for them to actually show up
I always judge artists with how well they take to Narduar. Glad they got along so well.
Me too!
That why I can’t stand kid cudi
@@FuzzTheMuzz I felt the same way, but after watching A Man Named Scott on Prime, I think he was just a depressed coke head who needed to get drugs at the same time as the interview. Either way Cudi failed big time.
@@topheradkins2275 wow
@@FuzzTheMuzz if you’re talking about what i think you’re talking about, cudi was at a really low point during that interview and nuardwar bringing up his recently deceased uncle triggered some stuff and cudi couldn’t do the interview anymore. it’s understandable
10:34 "You're the legend; I have to talk to you" is a total parallel to Nardwuar's "You're (artist's name); we have to know!" Peggy is so happy to do this interview and he totally knows his shit. I'm loving this so much
nardwuar is either cracked out in this interview or he's the biggest peggy fan ever
ikr! i’ve never seen him this excited to interview someone
@@brockisbackinaction1234trueee this is like the same amount of hype as the first sonic youth interview and the tyler interview ngl

We all liked that.
Wow I scrolled down to this and 2 seconds after jpeg said this haha.
What a great way to flip the "you're {artist}, we have to know!" Nardwuar does
Went to an audio engineering school with Peggy in 2018 right before he really blew up. He came in one day like 2 weeks before the program was over and said he was going to LA for some shows. He never came back to school and the rest is history haha - love you Barry 💜
Hey man thats actually really dope to know!! What course was it, like, just “audio engineering”? Summer course or some years-long-level diploma? Very curious about what peggy would go study circa 2018 since the man was already making some incredible music way before that. If u could talk a bit more would be awesome!!! thanks in advance bro 🙏
@@ericgcamargo it was a 6 month audio engineering program - we were basically learning how to record/mix full bands in a studio on an SSL console.
Kind of a shame he never took it seriously then, but I guess his fame covered for it
@@nickname8619 what makes you think he never took it seriously
Great story!
I just realized that Peggy saying this is the only sober interview he's done means that dude was blasted at Cambridge lmao
LMAOOOO
Hey this was fantastic. I’m a big fan of Peggy but have never seen this upbeat, positive side of him. And also have never seen a truly conversational side of Nardwaur. I really enjoyed this, thank you!
probably because he's sober lmao
Watch that Fantano interview I feel he was positive in that one. And even in his youtube series where Peggy would just have fellow artists over and play them somgs off of all my heroes
@@dylanmax. one hundred percent
I have a feeling it's because Nardwuar is one of the most respected interviewer in the industry. Half the comments on this video can keep saying "oh it's because he's sober", but a lot of interviews with artists can just be set up for press and revolve around the same questions every time, feeling pretty forced. Nardwuar takes the time to make sure the interview is in depth, which most artists can see it's a sign of respect that he would take the time to do this.
Watch his stream with Hasan he gets tired & probably high by the end but very fun energy for a while
The realest nigga of all time......
And JPEGMAFIA
Hes how i know we live in the matrix. He knows everything. He's reading this before I wrote it. Get him on Epstein and Maxwell gang

Yo to Nardwaur yall 🍻 parríba pabajo al centro y palentro
JPEGMAFIA: you think you know me
Nardwuar: You're JPEGMAFIA we have to know
Bruh Nardwuar is extremely underrated as a crate digger. I bet if you took him and like 9 of the top sampling producers and DJs like Premier, alchemist, shadow etc, and gave them a list of obscure records they have to go across the world to find, my money would be on nardwuar
Nardwuar gotta produce then
He gets a lot of them signed as well
This would make such a good show
@@TheCyanSqueegee like a rhythm roulette but it’s just nardwaur giving you records.
@@spookygangrecords i think he means the worldwide hunt for rare records. Rat Race vibes
The best part of a Nardwuar interview is when he leaves the guest saying, "How did you know that?", then just blows it off and continues rummaging through their past
This guy is like the most charming rapper of all time. Just getting into his music, lovin it.
He's also the best one to follow, new shit come out constantly
It must be really great to be friends with Nardwuar around Christmas or birthdays.
yeah but think of all the embarrassing stories he'd have on you...

I had no idea I needed this today. Mad respect to JPEG to give a good heartfelt interview like that. And Nards was so exited, it's great to see him still rocking in the free world after all these years. Stay strong, mad love ✌️
Nardwuar spazzing out at the beginning is so heartwarming
😂💯
never seen nard so close to breaking as when peggy kept responding with more than 2 doots

Can we all appreciate how thankful and appreciative Peggy was during this interview? Most of Nardwuars guests don’t use their manners when they get gifts, this was refreshing
Fantastic interview, Peggy seems like such a cool dude and I loved his message at the end. Also loved the Mort Garson shoutout. But, ngl, I spent the whole interview worried and scared that those records were gonna fall into the sea.
