    • @tomgillbanks

      Hey Dan! So I only shampoo like twice a week most of the time. And condition every other day (but always directly after shampoo also). I use ketoconazole shampoo once a week ideally, and then honestly just a decent quality, low chemical shampoo & conditioner will do the job :)

    Hey mate there’s research that suggests that even when using finasteride daily along with minoxidil, the effectiveness of minoxidil will start to wear off at the 7-8 year mark . Would this worry you in the future ? I only use finasteride daily

    • @tomgillbanks
      @tomgillbanks  Місяць тому +1

      Potentially, but honestly, there’s other research that disagrees with it. So I’m never sure which to believe. But I do know for sure that I needed to start it asap as I didn’t want to lose my hair in my 20’s. I guess we’ll see where time takes me now.

    Finasteride exchanges the appearance cost of your health...So be careful some side effects are irreversible...
    If anyone is suffering in this world...Many of them wish you to be one of them. "Stay Vigilant"

    • @tomgillbanks
      @tomgillbanks  10 днів тому

      There are side effects, yes. And this is an unfortunate reality for some guys. But the vast majority of users are 100% fine.
      Generally, after around 2 weeks of discontinuation of treatment, any unwanted side effects subside. However, in extremely unlucky cases, some men with a predisposition to something being thrown out of whack in their endocrine system may suffer for an extended period of time. But, I must disagree that these are irreversible, there’s always a way to get your hormones back to normal with intervention in the worst case scenario.
      However, I’m not a doctor. Just a guy who’s done a lot of research & taken the treatment myself. Do your own thorough research boys, and decide what’s right for you.

      brh...you can use metformin after insulin resistance kicks in... is that reversible...?? how about man boobs? if the skin is stretched up can it recover itself without surgery alone with only doing exercise? how about one day blood comes with semen? if someone ignored it? they can do chemotherapy which means they can lose more hair.. this drug is for those who eye on overall health.. not for those who only need to grow their hair back. if you use it, you need to be vigilant about your health. that's it. yeah...they will decide...
      use deep web research, to see the reality.

    • @tomgillbanks
      @tomgillbanks  2 місяці тому

      Hey! So since you’re only 16, the protocol I’d recommend is starting minoxidil daily, and a dermaneedle, until you’re 18 then look into starting finasteride. Hopefully this will be enough to preserve what you have until you’re old enough to start blocking DHT. Saw palmetto can be a good natural alternative until then, or if it’s getting really bad, you could talk to your doctor about topical finasteride :)

    Having the same hailrine and hairtexture as a relative means that you will follow the same hairloss pattern? There is any sort of genetics test that determine if u have androgenetic alopecia or not? I'm 18 and I was born with a nw 1.5 and now that I've know that there is chances that I can go bald as my dad I'm freaked out, my genetics is really strange (my maternal grandfather had a jouvenile hairline and a head full of hair until his early 70s, my dad's dad died at 98 years old with hair (obviously thinned out), my dad is bald like other three brothers, only two still have a head full of hair (one is in his 50s and the other one in his late 50s) and i have the same hairline as the youngest one out of these two. What should I do? Taking finasteride? If I start to take it now there is any chance i can keep my hair until i reach my late 50s? What about the efficacy, my fears is that baldness kicks in later in my life and finasteride or dutasteride won't have effect anymore?
    I'm very happy for u bro, keep going.

    • @tomgillbanks
      @tomgillbanks  22 дні тому

      Hello bro, thank you!
      So genetics are really hard to distinguish & there isn’t really a test to be sure on whether you have the gene or not. But it can pop up anywhere down the line, and one man might not get it, but his son does or vice versa, and it certainly a combination of both the mother’s and father’s genetics.
      On starting finasteride, that’s totally your call bro. I’d say talk to your doctor or dermatologist. But it’s all up to you what you want to do & how proactive you want to be.
