I play in Northern VA and 11six24 paddles are all over the place. Seems like a great value option that is competitive performance-wise with pricier brands. Kind of like vatic
Definitely, the only thing limiting the brand right now is different shapes and options that way which will come with time. They are just getting going.
Excellent review, I just had my first play session with this paddle and agree, it took me a game or two to adjust (coming from DBD and Ruby) but once I did loved the added power, not too much but just enough to rip drives and overheads. Interested how it changes after some more break in. Keep up the good content!
@@mlee9049 It's a bump up on power and pop which is what I was looking for. Ruby had decent power but a little less pop than the DBD. The Hurache X has both.
Great that you pointed out about manufactures don't talk about layer/s of face. They also don't talk abut the "adhesives" used and core cell wall specifics.
I purchased this paddle. I noticed when I play with it without lead it has a lot of pop but it becomes very muted when you add a decent amount of lead.
Thanks for the comment. I didn’t mess with adding weight with this one since I liked it stock but that makes sense to me. I’ve noticed the same thing with other paddles. The more weight you add the more muted it feels and you get a drop in pop. It makes it easier to control but you do lose some of that countering ability with it.
Thanks, glad you liked it. Those two have similar pop at the net on counters while the Hurache will give you more power from the baseline. The Hurache is more forgiving though the DBD 14 is more maneuverable.
Decided to pull the trigger, they sold one that had a cosmetic blemish that doesn't effect performance. 99, after discount 89. Its a steal for that price and im not bothered if it has a cosmetic issue.
Nice, yeah, the cosmetic sale is a good deal. I'm the same way, I don't care if it doesn't look perfect as long as it plays the same, they get pretty dirty anyway lol.
They aren’t terribly different, though the BD has a little more power from the baseline. Picking between the two primarily comes down to shape preference.
I have the Hudef Viva Pro Gen2, and this paddle is really making me consider the change to it. Have you played with that paddle? Do you think it would be a good change and if the Huarache offers more or similar power as the Hudef?
I really like the pop and maneuverability of a 14mm paddle do you think that the addition of the fiberglass layer give this 16mm a similar feel? Thanks for the review I was looking at this paddle but had concerns about the 6" length of the handle.
This would do the trick! This one has a stiffer feeling in comparison to the Luxx still take you a couple of sessions to adjust to it and dial it in but once you do then you’ll have that extra pop you’re looking for.
If you want a lighter swingweight and some extra forgiveness then the j2k is the one. If you want a little more power and reach then the Hurache-x control + is the one.
@@pickleballeffect thanks for replied. i've been playing control+ for 2 weeks and its feel really good, only a bit tough to reset. if i want more power for base line drive, should i add lead tape ?
Does it dink strictly like a carbon fiber paddle but when you get aggressive the nature of the fiberglass comes out for drives and speed-ups? Is it the best of both worlds?
@@robedwards6926 Yeah, it definitely gives you a little more offense than the DBD. If you're DBD still has some good life to it then you may not need to switch immediately but if you're due for another paddle and want a little more offense then I'd go with this one.
@@mlinton3007yeah, the rounded tips definitely help with keeping the swingweight down which is nice but they can also reduced the stability if the paddle but that wasn’t the case with this one. It has a nice balance and the stability to go with it.

Yeah, I hope this stuff gets more transparent as time goes on. Little things like that speak to quality or lack of it in the paddle.
How would you compare/rate the power of this paddle to the Six Zero Ruby?
It gives you a little more than the Ruby
Thanks for the awesome review!
My pleasure, it’s a great paddle.
Just bought one with your code. Thanks for the information.

Can you talk about the surface grit? Is it also similiar to Hudef surface?
Do you know how this compares to the Six Zero Black Diamond JMV Pro weighted paddle?
They aren’t terribly different, though the BD has a little more power from the baseline. Picking between the two primarily comes down to shape preference.
Thanks for the comment about anything over 6" feels a little too long. This is what i've been trying to say !
ha I'm glad we align there!
I have the Hudef Viva Pro Gen2, and this paddle is really making me consider the change to it. Have you played with that paddle? Do you think it would be a good change and if the Huarache offers more or similar power as the Hudef?
I just recently got the Viva Pro Gen2. The Hurache gives you similar power as it but is not as head heavy.
Great review as always! Any idea when you will start posting spin rpm and pop/serve mph on your paddle database?
I was hoping to do that this week but the project got pushed to next week. Shooting for next Friday at the latest.

Yes, it does. Not quite as firm of a feel as a 14 but more similar in feel to a 14 than most other 16s. Certainly has the pop to rival 14mm paddles.
usually they cheat and measure over the rubber and tape at the top.
Thoughts if I’m coming from a Luxx invicta because I have been lacking some pop?

Hurache-X Control+ or Honolulu S&S J2K? 🤔
If you want a lighter swingweight and some extra forgiveness then the j2k is the one. If you want a little more power and reach then the Hurache-x control + is the one.
@pickleballeffect - How is it compared to Perseus? Thx
It has a stiffer feel than the perseus, is more forgiving, has a touch more power and pop.

It has a firmer feel than the Filth.

Good question! I’d say it dinks like a carbon fiber but resets float a bit more and take more effort to keep down.
