the longing for DE dev team to develop DE2 is so strong with me at this point, it makes me want to lie down on my keyboard and cry out of sheer helplessness.
I love how humble Argo is and how he always credits his fellow writers, animators and artists. I didn‘t know how much of a collaborative DE was and I love it! I really hope we are going to get our „Summer Eternal“ and a Junior Detective Cuno DeRuyter? OMG!
I just finished part 1 of this interview and now on the second part.. You blew this out of the water, thank you for the work you've done :D Also thank you so much to Argo for sharing his insights and perspective on the history of Disco Elysium.
Fantastic interview, can't wait for the next part(s)! But also, thanks for highlighting Argo's GoFundMe because I didn't know about it & have now also chipped in. 🙏
1:50:40 OMG THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPY I JUST THOUGHT I MADE A MISTAKE!! The fact it was set in a town named Ravachol (i'm dyslexic and read it as Ravachol) is actually what made me finally decide to pick up the game in the first place, having mostly lost faith in RPG's to tell good stories, being a student of Anarchist History particularly that 'spicy french period' lets ay and liking the reference which upon re-reading was a coincidence decided to buy it anyway.! YOu have no idea how happy this makes me! ^.^
i was soo incredibly excited to listen to this that I listened to it while working. did it impact the quality of my work? maybe. do i care? no. THANKS ONCE AGAIN. BE VIGILANT. I LOVE YOU.
It's been a while but in regards to Cunoesse, I'm pretty sure there's a shivers check somewhere in that conversation that basically says she was actually genuinely involved in those snuff radio shows.
it does sort of read in his characterization. he's too in his own situation to extend empathy to Harry, he criticizes Harry because he criticizes himself
@@hem9483 yeah.. i'm glad jean exists because i can see myself within him. all the times i've been struggling with depression and addicts.. it just hits too close to home
It's really interesting how the pronunciation Revakol came to be through essentially pure circumstance. I think part of why it works so damn well for fascism is that coincidentally, this has a very clear parallel to Latin. It's thought that the pronunciation of "c" transformed in the same way over time. E.g. Kaesar -> Caesar. Really helps to legitimise the idea.
@@The41stPrecinctDon't get me wrong, I'm really grateful for this podcast, and I watched both parts all the way through. It just got funny to me that during Argo's long answer, I realized that by the end of it, you'd 100% say exactly that

Disco Elysium, to me, is about what it made me feel-hope.
Bruh the fact that we were so close to getting a new Disco game makes me so sad 😭

Thank you so much for helping the gofundme, that’s very very kind of you 🙏
I could earnestly listen to 50 more hours of this stuff. Wish I could pitch him some of my own questions! Great interview.

The41stPrecinct like all the time:
"Amazing, and you know what..."
I can’t work out if this is a compliment or not 🤣
