Playing catch up today. I started in the main bath. Trying to get back into a routine. It’s been a rough couple of months. We lost our dog suddenly in March and it’s been rough.

What I am really enjoying about this series is that I can pop in and out of following along. I don't feel guilty if I miss a day or two. At first I was very sporadic, but now I've become much more regularly involved. Today I decluttered under the bathroom sink where I kept hair accessories. I cut my hair shorter 10 years ago and yet I still had an organizer filled with many different types of hair accessories. Now they're gone! Go me! Thank you, Diane.
I am decluttering my kitchen decor today. I stuffed some in the cabinets once I got tired of them. I think it's time to let them go.
After over a year of Decluttering and mostly mastering a cleaning and tidying routine, a MIRACLE happened! My brother-in-law and his wife were at a nearby family event. Out of the blue they casually said that maybe they could spend the night at my house. Without warning, without planning, without foreshadowing they requested to visit and stay over. Our house was 10 minutes away from our then location. The MIRACLE was my house was completely in order, completely; actually parts of it were shining.!!! The kitchen, living room, bathrooms and guest rooms were indeed presentable and actually comfortable for guests and ourselves!!!!! I only had to change the guest bedroom sheets just because I wanted fresh linens. All of that decluttering and implementation of a cleaning routine and MAINTAINING it paid off so beautifully. I was so surprised. This comfort level and peacefulness would not have happened even 6 months previously. So Yes, Diane in Denmark’s, Flylady’s, A Slob Comes Clean, and Clutterbug systems WORK. Thank you Diane. I believe that I am living longer and prospering! 💕💕💕
I am surprised you were a poster type gal at one time in your life. Kind of adorable going down memory lane with posters,albums trinkets etc. You’re the best!

I combined decluttering the basement with pleasure this weekend. It took me 10 minutes to drop off a box of hazardous chemicals and another 5 hours to explore the town and enjoy a delicious lunch. On Sunday, experienced another fabulous lunch after dropping off a car seat at Target's recycling event. I found a number of donatable items in the basement and some unopened razors from the bathroom declutter and am collecting them for my next drop. Currently working on the books and papers that were stored in the basement and have become attached to my living room.
What a pleasure it is to enjoy a “visit” with you each Monday morning! One way in which you have helped me in the past week is giving me the idea of timing my reading time and internet time, so that it doesn’t get away from me. It helps me to be discriminating about the choices I make, since I know I have a limited time for it. Rah for Diane!
Hello Diane, Today I am decluttering 2 antique old chairs. I am taking them to the Goodwill charity. Letting go of these has been a long process.
I have an emotional attachment to them. Actually, the attachment is to disappointment and loss rather than the chairs.
I had a talk with myself this morning and I have loaded them into the car. I cherish your channel. Thanks, Suzanne

Perhaps a topic to use in another video - Remind long-time followers to make sure our control journals are up to date. One of my emergency contacts recently changed her phone number. When I changed it in my control journal, I saw that another emergency contact (my neighbor) had passed away 3 years ago! The routines I had written down revolved around taking care of young children and my youngest is now 18! My habits have become automatic, so I don't often refer to my control journal, but since I've been getting serious about zone cleaning, it definitely needs a makeover to reflect my current season of life.

Hi Diane. Thanks for taking us with you on your poster trip down memory lane! I definitely remember all the sweet posters you showed. I loved Holly Hobbie back in the day! You have inspired me to take a look at my own memorabilia in boxes down in the basement. I figure it's more valuable to take everything out now and "enjoy" them during a decluttering session instead of forgetting about everything and having it take up space in a box.❤❤❤

It's funny that you chose to do posters. I am a teacher and I realized that I've cheerfully been moving an assortment of poster tubes from room to room in my house for years with no idea what's in them... completely certain that they are useful... never looking at them once (botany? physiology? geometry?). So thank you for the inspiration to uncap those tubes and look within!
Hi Diane, thank you for our video. I live in Melbourne Australia and I have the flu. I wasn’t feeling like doing anything but you motivated me to wash my morning dishes and do a bit of tidying up. I have a box to drop into the charity shop on my way to see my doctor. I was going to say vintage items are very collectible but selling takes a lot of effort, time and dealing with time wasters
Praying for you and your city during this time of tragedy. I had the opportunity to visit Copenhagen in 2002. The iconic spire will be missed on your skyline around the world.
For some reason I have kept tax returns for too many years. Hubby was gone on a 4 day trip, so I did some major shredding. 14 white kitchen type trash bags full and one black 33 gal bag of papers that didn't need shredding.
Go me! Less things for my son and Granddaughter to deal with when we are gone.😊

I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your country’s historical building. That must be heartbreaking. I’m praying that they are able to save as much art as possible.
Extra room this week is the garage. We use it for food storage but have had a mouse problem so have to re-organize to be mouse proof. It'll be more than ten minutes, but thank goodness for the routine maintenance that allows me to take this on without creating chaos everywhere else. Thanks for the steadfast inspiration, Diane!
I feel the same way. I'd rather give something away to someone who would like it rather than sell them. When I go out with friends I bring some things they might like. It is always appreciated
You get me out of bed Diane. I can literally spend an hour scrolling in bed, but as soon as you ask me”are you ready to get things done?” I immediately get out of bed and start my routine.
Zone 3 is “Main Bathroom + Laundry Room” for me.
I’m going to declutter at least one shelf in the laundry room. 💪
One time my friend stopped by and said her mom was so excited she found a white rooster at community projects just like mine. She looked up and saw a colorful rooster and asked me what happened to my white rooster. I told her I donated it to community projects 😂
I still have my Holly Hobbie doll. Not quite ready to let go yet.. even at 56 😅

Wow those girls posters bring back memories of various items as a child that my older sister had incmuding a duvet set and Nightwear. I find decluttering the sentimental and the gifted from precious friends the hardest to do. Well done you Diane 👏🏼

Decluttering motivation just in time. We had new skirting boards and doors installed in our upstairs, so we had to shift the furniture and contents to the middle of the rooms. Thanks to you the grandbaby's room, guest room and bathroom are very minimal. But the sewing/craft room is full of sentimental things-so as I put the room back together I will be working to make that space clutter free, beautiful and ready for Creating. Thank you DIane!
Finally, finally, finally started declutterring my girls bathroom! 🎉 I have been avoiding this for too long so thank you Diane for giving me another push to just start! Going through the toiletries and linen. One shelf at a time. Halfway through! 🎉 🎉 🎉
I had Holly Hobby curtains! - I think I had blue ones and my sister had brown. They were left in Hong Kong when we came home, in 1980. I'd completely forgotten about them. 😂 thanks for the trip down memory lane. Now off to a Parish Council meeting.
Busy week. It’s Wednesday and I’m finally watching Monday videos and doing some housework. Decluttered some houseplants and pots today.

A few years back I went through my record collection. My oldest took several. I called my friend, her husband was turning 50 and was a huge Billy Joel fan. I asked which albums he had. I then, gifted her with every other album to make his collection complete….. as I had a complete set.
I never once regretted that decision. I still have a few.
But the joy when he received my vintage albums, completing his collection meant so much more to him. 💕
The poster of the band that played on your anniversary and that you decluttered, do you check decisions on 'shared' items with your husband, or is he happy for you to get on with it? Is he as good at decluttering as you are?
Catching up on your videos today after spending the last two days unpacking everything from my son's lovely wedding weekend. My 8 year old granddaughter came over after school on Monday and asked if she could clean the counter off in the bathroom - how did she know we were in that Flylady Zone! She thought it was fun and did a great job, and she really helped me out. I even took a string of the battery opperated fairy lights from the wedding decorations and put them around my makeup mirror to enjoy when I have a bath. (Like the ones you have around your tub faucet in your gorgeous bathroom.) I gave my record collection to my 21 year old daughter, and she just recently handed me back a few she no longer wanted including a 45 of Haircut 100's Love Plus One:) Thanks for the memories!

It's been a tough week in Sydney, Australia, and I found myself feeling very out of sorts, unmotivated and just really sad over events here in the last few days. I just watched your Monday video and am already feeling more positive and motivated. Love your work ❤
Still decluttering! I finally got a good deal of my office shelves & papers organized in a way that I can deal with them (like with like). I'll take another pass next month. Little by little, I've made a lot of headway this past 18 months or so, most especially the past 8. I'm able to get to deeper levels & layers in the archeological dig! Encouragement to anyone who is overwhelmed by the amount of stuff accumulated through the years, keep going! You can do it! Diane in Denmark is a wonderful cheerleader and teacher of routines, helping you to get the practices integrated into everyday life. That's when the real change happens.

I harkened back to Cruising Through the Holidays - saw the perfect Birthday gift for someone while out and about. Bought it and the gift bag to put it in. All tucked up in the closet.
I also changed my sheets while watching.
Hello! I cleaned under my two bathroom sinks today while decluttering. Nothing to declutter except an extra old toothbrush I use for scrubbing. Did some more cleaning and will finish it tomorrow. I switched my winter clothes out for my summer clothes and now have 2 dresses on probation that I have to try on to see if they still fit. Thanks for the motivation, as always! I don't know what I'd do without your cheerful voice urging us to do whatever we can!
I worked in the bathroom cleaning. The posters were fun to see.
I got so much done today! Decided to stop hanging on to the "I might use this one day" items in our bathroom. If I haven't used them in years, I'm not going to use them anytime soon. Thanks for allowing me to work along with you!
Finally decided to get rid of all the sample hair care products that I'll never use😂. Found some river rocks and ceramic pots to pass on to a gardener friend too. That was a productive 10 minutes ❤ Have a good week everyone!

Diane I have cleaned my guest bedroom because I am having guests this week. My bathroom needs a bit of a touch up too and I am decluttering my guest bathroom drawers and adding fresh flowers. My extra room is my laundry room. It gets so cluttered with my husbands junk. I set up some decorative boxes for him to put his "stuff" in. For my self care I'm adding some fragrance to the bedroom and fresh flowers in my living room. Thanks for the reminder to not forget my self care!

I spent a few minutes in my bathroom closet and found some empty product boxes I'd been holding on to in case I needed to return them so I recycled them. Hi, Diane, I like, how exited you’re becoming, if you find something that can go😁… kind of a treasure hunt! It’s funny, what we are carrying around from our childhood. I’ve 2 dolls… 2 books and a pair of gloves my mother knitted for me, when I was about 1 year old. I borrowed them out several times for family kids, and they’re still nice, although they’re almost 70 years old. Now I’m ’decluttering' my luggage from Denmark, I don’t like to do it, because I caught a cold and don’t feel like it, but 10 minutes are doable😉. Love, Monika❣
Today I blessed my daughter-in-law with a set of dishes that belonged to my husband's first wife who passed away from cancer over 10 yrs ago. We all loved her, but it's time these went on to another home. When I asked if she wanted them, there was no hesitation. "YES!!!" almost before I had finished the sentence.
I’m like one of Pavlov’s dogs! As soon as I hear your voice, Diane, I’m off, cloth and spray bottle in hand 😂. Just now I declutterred my bathroom cabinet. Wiped down shelves, got rid of 2 emoty toothpaste tubes (husband) and an empty glasses wipes box. Refilled soap dispenser, sorted out the sunscreen and mozzie repellents, “shopped” the cabinet for moisturiser to go in my bathroom upstairs and put a new toothbrush on my list. Good work! Rah rah rah ❤

Just returned from Amsterdam yesterday after a wonderful river cruise and recovering from the six hour time difference in Kentucky. Thanks again for a motivating Monday video. I plan to declutter in my bathroom this week. ❤
Oooh it's the personal stuff that I've been working on with regards to decluttering. It's been a good journey taking a trip down memory lane and letting go of the items.
Not much to declutter in the bathroom just an empty tube of hand scrub. However, in other areas I managed to declutter a small blender, 2 small picture frames, 2 trays, 2 pairs of my husband's shorts, never worn, a couple of my tops, several glass dishes a few empty boxes I was keeping "just in case". When I am trying to decide if I should keep an item I ask myself "what would Diane do" and that helps me decide pretty quickly and usually the answer is 'let it go'. So thanks to you Diane for making the decluttering process uncomplicated and easy to do.
Holly Hobby posters brought back memories. I remember having a Holly Hobby Doll. I went through my linen cupboard and have a quilt cover set to donate. 🎉
I did it! Went into my bathroom and got rid of stuff while I was watching! Just small stuff but somehow feels like a huge win!
I have a similar item from my teenage years- Betsey Clark- from the Hallmark greeting card company in the USA. An address book - I still use!!!! From 1975

I decluttered a shelf in my laundry as my bathrooms are pretty good at the moment.
I am doing the mug/glasses/cups cabinet in the kitchen. We got a new set of glass mugs so out with the old! I put a light white sweater on probation and put it on to wear and took it off within 30 seconds. That is going too. Those are sweet posters, some little girl will be very happy to receive those! I had a Holly Hobby doll when I was a kid, she was one of my favorites! Go you with the decluttering! 🎉🎉

I don’t always follow the plan of doing the same room as you that week but I have been working hard at decluttering and when I watch the video I always feel inspired to find something to declutter and feel I’ve really got the morning and evening routines under control and have noticed the difference specially when I come into the kitchen in the morning and it’s all tidy hurrah

I was in our basement, decluttering old wrapping papers, gift bags that can no longer be used, bows and ribbons. By doing this, I can now see that I need a couple of replacement wrapping papers and gift bags to have on hand for birthdays. Thank you, Diane! Happy decluttering to everyone! :)

I've got The Beatles memorabilia I should go through 😅 but I've still got hundreds of other things to go through first. Little by little something goes out of the house nearly every week. Right now I'm giving priority to selfcare taking a five week course learning botanical painting with watercolours, that's taking most of my spare and not so spare time 🤣. Have a good week xxx

Also was happy that we are in the bathroom for this week. As selfcare I kept a Body Lotion sample that I got for free when I bought a parfume 😊 will use it this week. Also cleaned our toothbrush station today. Tomorrow I will go to my "horror room" to declutter 😅 Always good to know that I am not alone and others also have THIS corner 😉 Have a good evening ❤
