Hi - thanks for this informative video. I didn’t fancy removing the wheels/liners (particularly as it seems likely to reoccur), so I used a still from your video to locate the vents, made a small incision in the liner at the appropriate point with a Stanley knife (cuts easily) and used a length of garden wire to clear the blockages - a 10 minute job, but impossible without your pioneering effort! Thanks again!
old video but literally you have saved my life , already had the water in the sills and solved that thought it was in the other side sills don’t get me wrong crap loads came out of there but there is still a fish tank living in my car and the back passenger footwell is drenched now I at least know why 😂 anyone want to buy a mobile fish tank ?? 🤣
Thanks for that. Bought my Cascada this summer and enjoyed it in the dry weather. Since it started raining I heard this sloshing noise. Found the drain plug for the sill and a couple of pints came out but I could still hear water. Will investigate this drain plug in the morning. You are right, not much info about it on the Internet.
Wow I've been racking my brains trying to sort this. Can't wait to have a go tomorrow. Thanks for sharing. I knew the plug would be somewhere but couldn't figure it out myself💜
Thanks for the info. I had the same problem, I didn’t take wheel off just levered the inner panel, which is quite pliable, and cleaned out with a wire coat hanger. I could not believe the amount of water that had collected.
Thank you! Just saved myself a few quid by not going to the garage. Like similar post, managed to get at it without taking the wheel off. Didn't have cable ties, so used a straightened coat hanger with a small hook at the end. First push in and out and the pipe unblocked immediately. Water flooded out. The misses will be happy she is no longer driving a water tank.
Thanks for this. It has been a problem for over a year on and off, even the local garage didn't solve it. Done it today pushed some aerial cable up and the water just gushed out. Very grateful. Thanks. Ps you don't know how to solve rear window going down of its own accord. We'll hang on to the cascada for another few years.
Great informative video. I managed to get access without removing the wheel. A bit fiddly but time saving. No flaps on mine and poorly fitted fastenings, so I guessed that a previous owner had the same problem too. The under sill rubber bungs weren't' there either. I used a thin plastic pipe which can be used on the brake nipple ) to clean out the drain tube. Hope this helps anyone
Great advice, the locking wheel nuts have been damaged but I’ll try and gain access the plug behind the liner 😂withou5 taking the wheel off! I’ll still need to replace all 4 locking nuts in case of a future puncture, 1 job turns in to 2 and a garage bill!!!😂😊
spot mate. I thought for months it was diesel sloshing around in my tank then noticed water dripping. Took out the rubber cap off under the sill and at least a couple of pints of water came out. Is there a water tank built into the sill or something?
Hi, i am having a similar problem with my Cascada and hearing a sloshing sound in the rear side right hand side. Thanks for this video. But how do you get the panel off?
Left side drained at least a half a gallon. Ride side did not. Are they connected so that if you drain one side, both sides drain? If no, then maybe I did not fix the clog on the right side, because it is still slashing water and the back floor board is still wet.
They are NOT connected . Sometimes the clog can be really far up - I strapped a few cable ties together and gave it a good jiggle round if you poor water in at the top between the deck and the wing it should flow out, If it does not there is more clog to remove
Pussy ;) - You need to send us your email mate...wait until you see what our group is called now. You dont need Facebook..just come back to messenger ;)

Just got my Cascada in February. This video is very helpful. Thanks for making it. Cheers from Virginia, USA.

Thanx for this fix Ac30 ..Done as you said and yes nearly 2 pint of water was released after i unblocked all the gunk ..Spot on ....

This is fantastic! I knew the water was collecting 'somewhere' - the video is so helpful.

Hi,
I have this issue. Can you please let me know how you got into the part? I don't have access to a ramp. Do I need one?

Thinking of buying a Cascada for the summer this video will come in handy with the shit weather in wales
Cheers fella 👍
No worries man, thinking of selling mine 😉
Thank you, and what about front side? Where this holes for water?

Have you had any leakage from windshield drain going into the dashboard towards the floorboards?
Thanks this had answered a question I've been searching for months 😁
Did the job ok. Managed to get the liner off on the second side without taking the wheel off.
Mr Bob good stuff pal 👍🏻

Thanks for the video, had this issue come up on a family members car 🤙🏻

Thanks for sharing, my car was at the garage twice and they didn’t solve it.
When are you allowed back out to play?
Did mine today. Same as yours full of muck. Did you cut the flap off?
Thank my friend ❤️
We miss you sweetlips - when are you back out to play? x

Glad it worked for you 👍🏻
Got this problem on ours...Thanks for sharing..
Owen j Wilson no problem, it foxed me for a while !!!
Ac30 Helix Did you cut the bungs in the end?...I bet these will have serious rust issues around the wheel arches in a few years...a poor design!
Owen j Wilson I left them! It feels like it’s a bit more than just a rubber bung. It goes right into the door housing.
Thank you
Thanks mate 👍🏼
Ditto what PaulCuban & JesterTear1 said - miss your talent & conversation!
