GREYHOUND visits Dartmoor prison museum then falls asleep in the pub

- Fairy the retired racing greyhound arrives in Princetown, Dartmoor, Devon UK for her next adventure. It’s wet weather again and she looks around the famous Dartmoor prison and museum. She goes for a walk on the boggy moors and looks at a tor. She ends the day falling asleep in the local pub.

I love the footage of driving through those 2 lane roads in the middle of nowhere. Fairy is so well behaved and she has the sweetest face and eyes, I've ever seen on a dog. I love watching her, but I also enjoy seeing all the love and care you show for her too. Thumbs up!

At first I thought Fairy was visiting inmates. To my knowledge, the US does not have museums as part of our prisons, so this was interestingly different. I live in the desert of Phoenix, Arizona, so when you described the scenery as bleak and dreary, I was disagreeing thinking, "Oh, how beautiful" 🥰 The sun is a beast here, killing many who do not understand it. Your videos of your adventures give me peace and joy. Thank you ❤
What a wonderful trip and a wonderful dog Fairy is, seems like a huge good time had by all! I'm impressed with what a good girl Fairy is (and pretty), but after travelling with my then 3ish year old Corgi across eastern Canada, I can say its lovely to have a canine travelling companion to experience things with!
Not only does everybody in my family love Fairy, but me mum Is telling her friends that they should watch. Then again they are all about 90 years old so.....

I love Dartmoor!! We took our grey and stayed near The Highwayman's inn pub which was sadly closed on the days we went! But had some lush dog walks there, on lead because of the sheep!

Dartmoor is absolutely gorgeous - have you been to Wistman’s wood? It is a cloud forest on Dartmoor but you need a map and a compass to find it. One of the most amazing places on Dartmoor.

Love the idea---esp. if you write it from the greyhound's point of view: "The prison museum was puzzling, as I do not know exactly what a museum is, & this one looked like a place to live, but not a very nice one, as I could see not dog beds. I even checked under the human bed, as I thought it might be cosy to sleep in a cave right under your human, but no bed. This is very wrong; how ever can you have a home w/out a dog? The moor was interesting, but I wasn't allowed to go looking for a rabbit to chase. I was also not offered a beer at the pub, but had a good nap. Disappointing, but mum knows best, & there were plenty of treats, so all in all, a good day.
What a lovely place to visit. Despite the Weather 😆 Fairy still enjoyed her walk. I loved that she hsd a nice soft bed to lie on in the Pub. Greyhound's can not lie on hard floors so it is a must to take a bed for them. Fairy is living a fantastic life. Look forward to seeing more adventures with Fairy. I'm from Scotland where there are many beautiful places to walk, but Dartmoor looks amazing. Dud Daphne Dumorier write Rebecca based on these Moors. Or was that the Yorkshire Moors? Ir even a different Novel 🤔😆

I think parts of Dartmoor prison were built by Napoleonic prisoners.
The pub on the main road going thru Princetown (not the road going to the prison), at yhe back of it is where you can walk, in better weather, to a bowl shaped feature. Its where one of the Sherlock Holmes story, Hound of the Baskervilles was filmed.
Also in the 13th/ 14th century, Childe Roland was caught in a bitter snowstorm, and to survive, he cut open his horse to climb inside. He died about 200 yard from a farm and his cross is still there.
