My greyhound was quite large for a female & I also fed her on a raised stool, but by golly, if a piece of chicken fell on the floor she had no trouble at all snatching it up. In fact I think that if it fell into a well she'd have gone after it---she was a most enthusiastic eater! I'm w/ Fairy that sleeping all snuggled up in the van under many blankets, nice & dry looks wonderful. Tent in the cold & rain, a bit less so. But as long as there's chicken...
Hi Lucie, thanks for the vid! BTW, if your kindling is wet, you can break off the dead dry lowest little branches on trees - they will usually be dry enough to light/ keep lit. (Removing these also helps to prevent the spread of wildfires.) Had to use this a LOT when I was a teen, and my family was logging what became our homestead farm. We only had two chainsaws, so my Dad and older brother used them, and I was normally responsible for burning slash, de-branching trees using an axe (MUCH easier from the underside UP - the tree branches have evolved to hold the weight of snow, etc. from the top of the branch), making coffee, etc. Anyway, Cheers from a wet (and still cool - 10C according to "official" temps - on the black tarmac at the airport (!), but only 5C by my covered deck thermometer), B.C., Canada! Kiss to top of Fairy's nose! :-)
@@Fairythegreyhound I haven't built an outdoor fire for years now (big city living, sigh) - only in the woodstoves at my parents' homes. Hope I would still be able to, if needed...❤ (Edit - forgot the apostrophe in parents'. Ack!)
She's absolutely gorgeous...I think she'd look wonderful on a t-shirt! I'm a dog person thru & thru but have always owned small breeds. Fairy makes me want to seriously look into adopting a Greyhound....!
Fairy has so many wonderful adventures!! Sweet that you stayed in the tent with her 💗. Can you tell me the source of her raincoat, my grey needs one of those 💦☔️. Love your videos!!
If you google ‘Pointy Faces’ they do coats specifically for sight hounds which are great quality and fit really well 🤩 Also ‘AK creations’ do made to measure greyhound coats which are very good quality.
Thank you so much for the info!! My rescue grey will not go out in the rain to toilet unless I gold a giant umbrella over him…but I still 💗 him 🥰. The one on Fairy looks like it will be perfect!!
I am a very light sleeper, so much so, that I had surgery in February and woke up during the operation. I didn't panic because I am a very calm person and ended up having a lovely conversation with one doctor while the other one completed the procedure. Sorry, I need to get back on topic. Just wanted to point out what a light sleeper I am. Any way, I wear ear plugs to bed every night and can't sleep without them. The noise isn't blocked out 100%, but it is enough that I get a restful sleep every night.
Fairy seems to have had a wonderful day even though it rained a bit.
Enjoy your camping 🏕️ Fairy ❤
Amazing adventures of Fairy!
Wow Fairy, you’re so brave in the rain

That would be an amazing experience but I’m too much of a wimp & love my comforts too much to do it 😂😂

Thanks for the tip! It’s the first time I’ve failed to get a fire going!

Wow! I always sleep with ear plugs as I’m a very light sleeper too but could still hear the rain on the tent through them!
@@Fairythegreyhound That's annoying!
