The book checklist actually does come out! The little grid part comes out and you can stick a paper into it with your own list! Just grab one of the lines and wiggle it out!
My book didn't have that issue either. My checklist came slightly askew, but I figured out how to take it apart to fix it. So, you could technically make your own list to replace the one in it. Just be careful not to break it as I doubt it was intended to be taken apart. My favorite item was the bookmark. I also have a black thumb, so I probably won't use the propagation station as intended.

I received both my YA and adult boxes today. Oh wow! Mine did not come with that issue. I actually really liked this box. I'm going to be finishing this authors other OC book The Whispering Dark today and am really enjoying it. My kind of dark and off kilter. Looking forward to reading this new book. Oddly enough my teen was on the hunt for a jar yesterday to germinate a piece of her plant (she's the green thumb). She's excited for that item. I love Strange the Dreamer.
Aw yay, love getting multiple boxes in 1 day. So happy you liked this box and that is beautiful that your daughter was needing a jar for her green thumb hobbies! LOVE IT when things just come together like that. And right?! The Whispering Dark was just so haunting, dark, and beautiful all at once. Added it back into my TBR jar so I can read it again sometime. And thank you, good to know that you love Strange the Dreamer, I will add to my TBR. 💕
Owlcrate has really good customer service. Every time I've reached out to them with a problem, they are quick to fix it! My book is coming in tomorrow and I'll double check. Having worked in a bookstore before, this happens every once in a while. It's just a manufacturing error. I doubt every book is this way (it's possible but not likely though) and I bet Owlcrate will get you a new copy. They might want a photo or something, but like I mentioned, I've never had an issue with them sending a replacement for something! Sorcery of Thorns is one of my favorite books they've done. I also picked up the novella and if you have it and haven't taken off the dust jacket, you might want to do so. There's a little hidden embossing there you might like. :) I wouldn't use it either, but it's a new idea for the propagation station. The perfume is a miss for me too. They've done at least one other; it's so personal to people, I'm not sure why they include them, especially on something that people have to wear. That's disappointing. I've joined the Nest but never use it. It's not easy to navigate at all. I'm disappointed they moved their photo challenge there as I really used to like doing that (and won a few times!) but it's not worth the hassle to figure it out at the moment even with OC really pushing it. Oh, I'm sorry you're not enjoying Bookshops & Bonedust! I didn't like it as much as Legends & Lattes, but it was still a 5 star read for me. Can I ask you what you're not enjoying about it? I was glad to have read Legends first because it helped connect me to Viv and really care about her story that we didn't get in the first book, if that makes sense.
Oh you may not be aware that they now have a new replacement policy. I was also not aware as I had no issues with them whatsoever in the past but yeah, with their new replacement policy that they implemented in February they will not be issuing me a new copy. Quite frankly I'm disappointed and pretty pissed off about this, I'm sure I will say something in my OwlCrate Adult March Unboxing video I will record later today. I totally understand that this happens and its a manufacturing error but as a book company, they should know this happens and should replace the defected ones. Aw I hope they end up having stock to put the bookmark on the shop so you can grab one! And sadly I never got the novella but it is on my TBR so I will try to get the hardcover. @@nikkilovesbooks Are you serious? They aren't replacing the book? That's awful! They used to be amazing at customer service and making things right. That is really disappointing. They were one of the few book companies that really seemed to care about their customers and with that change, all that goes out the window. I could understand if there was a slight dent or chip, but your book was very obviously damaged!

And yes, small minor damage is gonna happen, I have NEVER complained about a condition of one of my books until now and I've been a subscriber for years. I'm very peeved. Regardless, so happy that your condition was not affected and didn't have the same issue! 💕

@nikkilovesbooks it's so trash to say basically it's the printers fault so we don't have to do anything. But as a company it is their responsibility to make sure their printer are producing quality products. If they sold that to a book store it would be Sent back as defective and not sellable. So idk y they think it is ok to give to us
