I heard that the filming restrictions only deals with film crews over 15 people.

P yesterday was the first time I've seen you in a long time you haven't put any videos up in a long time I've been subscribing to you every since the power steering pump went out in the truck on your first maiden voyage but with me in the hospital and you and never never Land I missed you
I'm disappointed the NPS is going the route of permitting. I wrote my Congressman to look at this practice. I can tell you UA-cam channels have done more to promote state parks and monuments. To restrict filming is crazy. They are not Hollywood productions, which is what the law was designed to address. We need a petition. Sin City Outdoors couldn't film the ongoing water level changes at Lake Mead becuz of this nonsense. Safe travels!
PSE see my note above. When I wrote my Congressman about this, his response was about restricting human access to all Federal lands.
Our own land is not for the people anymore, so sad 😭

You’re right! This trip had everything. Ocean, mountains , waterfalls, creeks were awesome! Loved every minute of it!
KOA is wholly underrated by most hikers. They have tent spots for those of us with no campers. They have Hot Showers and CLEAN restrooms. Many of the larger ones have pools and other amenities. YOu can usually even rent cabins. I for one have gone hiking on the trail for days and then rented a spot at a KOA to wash off and refresh in.
Travelling in an RV without a plan is the best.... as always, safe travels...

I went to the Chihuly glass artist gallery in St Petersburg. He had a sign asking people to please photograph anything they wanted and post it all on social media. He understands the power of spreading the word. The national parks service needs to get it too.
I do not know what the actual reason is but could one of the reasons be that people tend to go and film what has already been filmed. Then people then go to the places that have been filmed rather than quieter spots.
Hi Cat, as for Alaska, yes you must go! As filming permits go, Denali is epic but if you do not want to jump through the hoops Alaska is soooo big, the NPs are really a small part of the Alaska experience. The state is super relaxed on the boondocking options! Just traveling for 4 days on the Alaska highway to reach Alaska will supply you with ample video opportunities. Love your channel
Right! Plus, Denali Highway is pure magic, and it sits just outside of the National Park. There are places to pull off for camping, too! (Just make sure you have plenty of fuel!)

Guess I understand the govt filming restrictions but wish you could go to alaska. Just got back 2 days ago from a 2 week tour. Not what we had originally planned. Covid spoiled our plans 3 yrs in a row to take our truck camper from Massachusetts to Denali. We ended up taking a Princess tour of one week on land from Fairbanks to Denali to Whittier then cruise the inward passage through Glacier Bay down the coast to Vancouver and fly home. Even tho we still want to drive it I'm so glad we did the tour. Alaska was simply magnificent! We saw Denali on two days it was clear and bright out,we saw a total of 8 moose,caribou, Dahl sheep and the snow capped mountains all around were simply breathtaking! Never have done a tour like this but it was way better than not going at all. If you can go do it you will not regret it. 😊

Hi! We just got back to CA from driving to Alaska (logging in over 10k miles). It was amazing, a photographers paradise for sure. Re Denali, we were there for a few days but could not see Mt Denali due to the weather, which is the case most of the time at the park. But, we did see Mt Denali a few days later in Anchorage, it was epic. Alaska does require some prep planning (rig, tires, spare parts just in case) the ALCAN can be a little tough but the scenery everywhere we visited is something so dramatic. It’s an epic, once in a lifetime experience.
Just enjoy your camper van and where ever you go 😊 👍

I live in Provo, so you drove right past there with the beautiful view of Mount Timpanogos with the snow on the top. I went to Banff and Lake Louise in Canada a few years ago and it was really nice also, enjoy!!

You could take US 2 east from Montana. You could hit the north unit of Theodore Roosevelt National park, them go to northern Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan, and do a Lake Superior Circle Tour if you have a passport to go into Canada. Very beautiful part of both countries. Lakes Michigan and Huron are gorgeous, too! You could backpack at Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park in Michigan and on the North Country Trail.
Cedar City is awesome! Had a job at Cedar Breaks and stayed at Cedar City. The bark beetle damage is a bummer but otherwise an outstanding trip. You go to some great places. Thanks for sharing!

I bought one of the RV mattress and you are right, it is comfortable. I had seen you talk about it when you got the trailer and I believed you when you liked it. I was going to Canada this summer but my pickup needed repairs and ate my trip money so I will "ride" along with you. You show me places that I wouldn't get to see anyway so I am glad to go with you.
