Catherine, you are the last person to ever rant. This is EXACTLY the part of UA-cam that absolutely upsets me - folks who believe it is any of their business to ask some of the most intrusive questions imaginable. It is incomprehensible for me to intrude into your life and I only hope they would tolerate the same exact questions being asked of them by, frankly any complete stranger. I mean I get it, to all of us you are familiar, genuine, pleasant and talented. But with few exceptions, we are nearly anonymous to you. It’s none of our business who goes along with you, if you travel fulltime, and a host of numerous personal things. I am grateful that you share your immense talents with us and am grateful that you have a companion that shares your zest for adventure and natural beauty. I realize your independence and faith to travel solo, but as a Dad of 2 daughters (and a son who is just as independent as you!) I am glad that you have a companion along. Keep trusting your gut. I've been following you for probably close to 4 years. I retired 6 months before Covid hit so I started watching videos during covid about traveling as a single woman in an RV. Your videos caught my attention because even though you can pretend to be anybody you want to be on UA-cam, and I believe many people do pretend, you seemed to be the real deal. There was no drama or BS included in your channel which was/is appealing to me. I have always found your stories to be entertaining and informative, you have a calm soothing voice and your narrative is pleasant and thoughtful, your videography is stunning. I admire what you do and the courage you have to be on the road by yourself. The quality of your videos show the hard work and dedication you put into creating them. You have been a great inspiration to me and my travels, even though I only do extended travels and wandering and don't actually live in my van. I have a home in Utah and look for your rig when I'm wandering the state in my van. You would be one of the few content creators I'd love to run into and have a chat with. :) It's no ones business what goes on in your personal life and I think its great you keep the majority of that to yourself. It’s easy for someone to say you shouldn’t care about others comments on your channel but I disagree. It’s not the same as a comment about you. Your channel is your business. Your viewers are your costumers. To improve your product it would be wise to listen to your customers.

Have you ever done a top 10 national parks list, top 10 nature sites or top 10 hikes list? Even a top 20 to have a longer list would be great. You are a class act. You should never have to explain yourself to those who may "accuse" you of not living full time in your rig. Just because you are on YT doesn’t mean you have to disclose everything about you or your family's private life. It doesn't matter how long you live in your rig, what matters is you CHOOSE to share your outdoor adventures with us at a time and place of your choosing. No viewer should ever expect anything more. In terms of Joey, i myself had wondered if there was something more between you, but again, it doesn't matter if there is or isn't, what matters is that you are having fun backpacking with him and, like you said, are going to places you might not othewise go to alone. It is safer, and you seem to be having alot of fun, so have at it! You're done a good job with this video. As far as viewer leaving your channel it's because of your revenue increase on your channel. The creator started with a small van and after a few years he moved up to a Mercedes-Benz sprinter van. The creator filmed each step of building the van out. The van and build out was on 200,000. He said he had been doing Van life long enough that he deserved the new van. That's why some long term viewers leave channels.
Unfortunately the people who are critical are probably not bothering to hear your explanation. I am proud to be one of your patrons. You do such a great job with your filming and editing.

I moved into my Tacoma truck camper 4 years ago. I maintain a full time job and have saved 152k so far which I’ve invested into dividend paying stocks. In a couple years I’ll be semi retired and hitting the road. I’ve already bought 10 acres of rural land in Arizona which I’ll use as a home base. Grew up as a ward of the state. You don’t need to come from money to live this lifestyle. Just plan ahead and sacrifice.

I was not going to ask as it is not our business, but I will confess that I was hoping you and Joey were bringing each other some happiness. It sounds like you are and that is wonderful. Again, none of our business and thanks for the beautiful scenery in your videos. Disabled so I could never see many of the places you go without the videos.

Sure enjoy your videos. Joey is incredible. I saw one of his videos when he had it on UA-cam. He was backpacking to some extremely remote lake in Glacier park. The lake had a strange name so I don't remember the name of it. It was so beautiful. I would think that under 20 people have ever hiked into that lake. God bless Joey for helping you out!
