That "crazy bug" you showed is a may fly. They climb up out of the water, metamorphose to a winged adult, fly around to find a mate, lay their eggs and die, all in the same day. The trout love them.

Hi Cat, glad you're back. Talking about Coulter bay brought back many memories. I thought for sure that you would've gone into the restaurant there for a juicy cheeseburger. You mentioned how nice and convenient it is to have your own restroom when nature calls. My sister and I camped at Coulter Bay back in 1977. During the night Chris woke me up because she needed to use the restroom and wanted an escort/bear patrol to take her there.

Editing is a very tedious process, but it is especially creative, and you can put your own style and decisions along the way in how you want to tell the story. And then you are really tired. I really appreciate your visual artistry.

Good morning Cat from the customer lounge at the Toyota dealer in Pasadena. Nothing serious. 5:000 mile maintenance. Did.350 miles of desert off-road on Wednesday morning. I didn’t realize how much I missed -and needed- the desert around me. Despite Caltrans turning I-15 into a parking lot in Victorville, I still made it Pasadena in enough time for Bible Study. This time, I wasn’t logging in from VA! Planning on Mount Wilson Sunday after church. On Monday, I head-up to LP for a few days in the mountains. Then, a long weekend in Bodie. After that, I start the trek back east. May Almighty Got continue to Bless, Guard, Guide, and Protect you in your explorations. 73!

Oh Cat, you are so lucky. Even when you are driving from one destination to another, you pass through the most beautiful scenery, Yellowstone is so beautiful, but the Tetons take my breath away. I have watched your Canadian videos, and they were stunning, your photography is wonderful, and I love the music you play with your videos, the guitar music is my favourite! I look forward to your videos every week, and thank you so much for making these fabulous videos for us. I live in the UK, on an Island with stunning beaches all around, but I always feel that in a former life, if I had one, I was out in the mountains, the Sierras, or Tetons, or the John Muir Trail which I never tire of. We just had smoked turkey + Swiss + little iceberg lettuce + fresh tomato + Duke’s mayo sandwiches and my wife made a fantastic fruit salad. I made some mimosa’s too. Great choice! Yum!

You had a great time in Canada and it is great to be home.
They have had to start positioning camp hosts over there because many summer workers in GTNP/YP and Jackson were parking for months on end when the stay limit was much shorter. It was getting too much for the management agencies to monitor...hence the camp hosts.

I was in the Tetons years ago and they are so beautiful! I took the boat ride across the lake and did some hiking in between the peaks, heaven on earth!
If you're near Rawlins stop in at Greatful goat hostel and laundromat. Kate's a lovely talented person who has a pet goat and is just getting started in her business.
Well, dang, Catherine. Today is Sunday, 7/30. We were in Cooke City yesterday on a day off from the Tower Back Country Office. Had I known, it would have been fun to say "Howdy!"

We stayed at Colter Bay for a couple nights roughly 5-17-2017 and had electric hook-ups. They were full but we did manage to get an extra night added (a Monday) by talking with the head person in person at the ranger station (apparently they had had a cancellation or no-show or an actual vacancy), actually they didn't even make us move for the extra night. We traveled back and forth to Yellowstone in the truck to see the sights. It was very nice but on the way north to Colter Bay there were actual places beside the road that the snow was still about 4 to 5 feet deep!. Travel safe, your photos and videos are wonderful.

Oh man!! We just missed you by a few weeks! We were just there in the Tetons and Yellowstone. We did Slough Creek trail and saw 3 bears while on the trail! It was magical!!!
