I'm a native Floridian as well,. I have heard about a group of Native Americans, apparitions, have been seen running behind a hotel but don't know which hotel, supposedly in Old Melbourne (Brevard). I've always been curious about this, several people have seen them. Wondering if anybody knows about this.

I’m down in Sarasota, born and raised. And when I was younger you would hear older folks talk about the Indian mounds and how they protect these lands from the worst of storms that come this way. You feel things down here for sure so I’m with you 100%.
Used to go hunting with my pops down in the Everglades as a kid. Sometimes he’d stop over to the local reserve and make some trades with the Native Americans. Some of them hold some awesome traditions still to this day, well when I was a kid back in the late 90s/early 00s. He would always tell me creepy stories they would tell him around the camp fire. About the only thing odd I've experienced in FL, was when I saw an apparition in the apartment I used to live in. It's was in the Mandarin area of Jacksonville.
Was heading to bed one night and saw a figure of an elderly man standing near my then wife's side of the bed. When I realized what I was looking at, it dissappeared.
It had an interest in our then infant daughter and her toys. Was nothing malevolent, and we both felt his presence.
    That was 20 years ago.

I was born and raised here in Florida mostly near and around St Augustine where I now live, The entire area is very haunted.
I myself live in an area about 20 minutes south of the old downtown and have noticed several apparitions on my property and in my house since I've lived there.
The old jail is definitely haunted and while there seems to be less activity than say at the lighthouse I think there are actually more spirits that call the old jail home then at the lighthouse.
As a side note the old jail here in St Augustine was built by the same architectural firm that built Alcatraz.

@@casstay4499luis aury was a infamous pirate and he actually attempted to take over the island sometime in the early 1800s. he ended up getting captured and was sent to hang at the old jail there but before he could be hung, he tried to slit his throat with a sword or a knife, and they ended up messily stitching it back up and still forcing him to hang publicly. then there’s the eppes house which is pretty infamous. it was built by i think a railroad conductor his name was thomas jefferson eppes, it was a hotel back in the day. his wife ended up lying and told him that one of the managers or someone who was working there kept making advances to her and eppes killed him. before he could be prosecuted he ran from his wife and family and celeste went mad with guilt of lying commenting that she had to forever roam as punishment for what she did. she died of childbirth in the house perhaps from the guilt. old town has a bunch of lore and such as it was the site where timucuan natives settled and then later after a spanish fort was built. a spooky take from old town that is popular goes that a girl was super smitten with a boy in the area but he didn’t really pay her much mind or return her advances. there was a with in the area who made love potions and she begged for her to make a super strong one so her and the boy would be together. on the night of her 16th she intended to slip the potion in the boys drink at a party but on the way she fell and drowned in the river. it’s said she appears in the water to those who visit on their 16th lol. then ofcourse there’s the palace saloon. and that has a bunch of stories you can look up.

Been to several of these locations and work at one of them. Heck I even grew up in one of the first settlements in the country that is a little north of st. Augustine and we have our fair share of haunts.
Working at the "most magical place on earth" if you're lucky, you might see something. That being said, I did see a shadow person, twice. Once at Ft. Wilderness near the tri-circle D around 2 am. That one I could not explain. All I saw was a black mass entering the building. Checked it out and there was nothing there. The second time, I was using the restroom down in the MK tunnels and just saw a shadow in the floor like someone was walking in to use the restroom, but I did not hear steps or the door open. This was around 3 am too so I could hear hoh moving the pallets in the tunnels and the forklift horns. So there wasn't many people down there at that time.

Not a coincidence, esp. if you're messing with the occult (hidden) mysteries. If so, you're inviting the demons in. And, contrary to popular belief, they're not friendly. There's freedom from all this in Jesus Christ. He broke these powers of death when He died on the cross, and was raised from death..to bring us life! Please, put your faith and trust in Him today, friend. You won't regret it! 😎

Yep called school number 4 here in jax , it’s an abandoned building boarded up, been like that for some years. But no it’s not open to public if you get caught you’ll get trespassing.

@FrightNightScares it was a school opened in 1918 and was listed as PS4 and called Riverside Grammar School. It was changed to Annie Lytle in the 50s.
It has a lot of rumors about being haunted, but nothing actually documented. It's a beautiful building despite what's happened over the decades.

@@FrightNightScares I'm no expert, but I guess the hauntings started in the 80s. Apparently kids would party there, it's said some were worshipping the devil. There's graffiti to that effect. They finally put a fence around so u can't get in. But I'm dying (!) too see it..not just for ghosts, but it's a beautiful old buildng. Not sure what they're going to do with it now 🤔😎

I'm surprised St. Augustine isn't on here. That said. I have a hard time finding haunted places (houses and cemeteries and such) in Florida. All I can ever find are Halloween events for "tours". I live in Florida. Moved here 10 years ago. It's hard to find places that are haunted since the only things that come up are Halloween related crap.

St Augustine does ghost tours nightly here and they are full of history and interesting stories. They cover 2 different cemeteries during the ghost tour, one of the cemeteries I believe is a catholic cemetery that was originally an Indian burial ground. Took pictures I have posted of the different apparitions I saw during the tour. Also, public school number 4 in Jacksonville Florida is an interesting story as well if you want to look into that.

I live in north Florida once seen the top half of what looked like a horned humanoid shadow in my trailers bathroom window even managed to take pictures. I was convinced it was a person pranking me but if you know a trailer is elevated you’d have to be at least 8 feet tall for me to see your shoulders which what I saw was completely still and disappeared instantly wouldn’t be possible for a human to run off that easily I even sprinted outside has anyone seen the same?

@FrightNightScares i believe its one of the oldest ones. There are alot of "ghosts" roaming around. When walking in the feont right side is the worst area. The far left in front of the building had a sink hole which almost swallowed atleast 2 coffins. I have an aura that protects and i always like reading the stones especially the oldest ones. Trying to show respect and in case all family has passed letting them know they are remembered and cared for. Its a small one but alot of people freak out feeling the ghosts around them.

You wouldn’t believe the stories if I told you. But just know the spiritual experiences are almost not scary anymore you end up talking to them like they are friends of yours after a while. When I was in my early 20s I had about 3 different roommates move out at different times because of the activity that would scare them. I almost had a house burn down because of someone I was dating and the spirits didn’t accept him. I know it was an issue with him because nothing happened until my son went to school I went to work and he was still home sleeping. Woke up to the smell of smoke. We’ve blessed every house I’ve moved into by a priest because of these experiences I’ve had.

I went to the Riddle House in West Palm Beach during the summer time when they still had night tours. We went to the attic where the hanging supposedly happened and the tour guide started taunting the spirit. I thought it was all hocus pocus until the room turned ice cold and saw our breathes. Mind you it’s the middle of the summer and the power was turned off.
