No is not possible that's why I don't like the optical format... Only when your TV has a headphone jack you can control the volume with your TV.. They should have put the headphone jack on the smart TV

JD97711 it’s quite simple , you need to have a central amplifier / control device , i forgot its name , anyways, you connect the output wires (which have a special weird head) from the OUTPUT of the AMPLIFIER to the speakers obviously, then it’s straight forward just like the video
