Using similar equipment (Optical cable and Amplifier) i am able to make connection to my Old Speakers (Creative 2.1 Speakers). But by default Volume is set to very high and not able to control/adjust volume using TV remote. Speaker are working as a separate entity with huge volume. I am using 1+ smart TV(U series). Any help or advise please..
Hi... unfortunately the volume control is the major issue with Optical output. Controlling directly the speaker's volume is the only best solution. Some speakers provide minor variation with TV's volume control and some give zero variation.
Then you have to use something like this amzn.to/3QyIN0J But as these are way costly, using the optical port on the TV and converting it to Aux output is a cheaper way as anyhow the end result is a stereo output from your old speaker.
Bro I have a question... If i connect external speakers with tv without amplifier/home theatre then should I control volume through TV Remote?? Please reply 🙏

@@JB77698 hi... Unfortunately that's not possible. Only Samsung TVs have the option of letting both TV speakers and external speakers work together. Hey bro, you cannot get output from HDMI earc/arc port to your speaker. Optical output and BT are the only ways for you. Arc needs the sound system also with ARC and no hdmi convertor comes with ARC feature generally. As your Tv has earc, it should have optical too. Check
@@IAmGizmogeek thanks for replying bro.. it does have optical But my tv supports dolby atmos only if i connect it through hdmi earc. So i was checking if there's any convertor (that connects aux and hdmi earc).
@@cneephile Most welcome. As your speaker doesn't support Atmos, there is no point in using HDMI eARC. TV will output only stereo if it doesn't get info form soundbar that it supports Atmos.
@@IAmGizmogeek my speakers are dolby enabled speakers with an aux port. So they do support atmos. The issue here is tv can support atmos only if its connected to the arc port. Can i use arc convertor to connect both speakers and tv? Will it work??
@@cneephile Hey... I think you are confused. There can be no Speaker that can support dolby audio over Single aux cable. If you have multiple aux cables for the speaker, then it can provide dolby audio. And another mis conception you have is that Dolby Audio = Dolby Atmos. Absolutely no. They are entirely different. No device can output atmos through anything except hdmi cable. The bandwidth needed can only be provided by hdmi cable, even optical cannot do that. So just use the method shown in the video by using optical and be happy with stereo output. If you want to fully utilise the TV's output, you have to buy a Atmos enable speaker. There's no shortcut to that.

Thanks... Glad you liked it. The procedure is exactly what I showed in the video. You already have the Digital to Analog Converter and Optical Cable. You would need a RCA connector with 2 pins on both sides if your Speaker already doesn't have one. Once you connect all of them as shown in the video, change sound output in your TV to Optical. Hope this helps.
Hi, i have connected creative 5.1 with op u1 series in same manner but volume is low. How to increase it? Pls suggest
Hi.. you have to increase the volume from the speaker volume control itself. Keep it max at speaker end and then control with TV remote.

I have an HDMI eARC for tv audio output then how will I connect that to my older speakers having 3.5 mm pin.
Then you have to use something like this
amzn.to/3QyIN0J
But as these are way costly, using the optical port on the TV and converting it to Aux output is a cheaper way as anyhow the end result is a stereo output from your old speaker.
I have HDMI eARC for my Sony 43" Tv then how will i connect this to my old Sony DZ270 model 5.1 home theater.

You can control external speakers volume with TV remote only if its through HDMI or BT
@@IAmGizmogeek speakers has 3.5 mm jack and usb cable then should i control??m
Not possible with 3.5mm jack. You can keep the speaker volume to max and then control slightly up and down with TV remote.
I need your help bro. I don't know whether it is possible. So i have a sony tv( x7500h 2020 model). It has hdmi arc, optical, aux ports. @@JB77698 hi... Unfortunately that's not possible. Only Samsung TVs have the option of letting both TV speakers and external speakers work together. It's called Q symphony and that too works only with Samsung Speakers as I remember. So it's not possible to make both speakers work for you. Better buy a good speaker system if you are not happy with the inbuilt speakers.

But, in my Oneplus Y series 43inch tv there is no Audio output option and optical mode available in sound settings which resulted the same old audio lag/broken sound output. Hey.. I tested the same with Y series couple of months back and as I experienced that you don't have to change any setting, but increase the speaker volume to maximum (Not TV sound) and the sound will come from both TV and speaker.

Hi bro,
My tv has hdmi e arc port and my speakers has aux port. How do i connect them?? Please guide me here.
