I've been a English chef for over 40 years and I have being trying to find an onion bhaji that reminds me of the finest one I had back in the 70s and this is it. OMG the memories flooded through. Thank you for unlocking my memories of such an important part of my life and catering career that's still learning. X
Salams Apa . I have just started living independently and your recipes are really helping me getting through the days . I’m getting better at it so i just want to thank you for what ur doing for the community . Jazakallah
Years ago I watched a program with Madhur Jaffrey when she had a guest who made onion bhajis. He used just onion and besan flour and just kept mixing till it ended up a batter consistency.Whatever spices you want to use are then added before frying as usual.
they look amazing
This is a really great channel for all things Indian cuisine. I love how you start with the taste test and then show the technique. A nice departure from the norm of UA-cam cooking videos.
Hi sister, recently come across your channel. I have made the chick pea rice, the chicken curry, and the pindi using your recipes. I have never cooked before and all three dishes have turned out amazing. Thank you for setting up this channel your videos are helping me get through my Ramadhan cooking. I look forward to trying all the other recipes you have on your channel. 🫶

Bedridden stroke nearly 6 years ago eager to try to make and eat❤l
Bloody Lovely ❤
Made these today, followed the same recipe for year's so decided to do something different, these are by far the best I've made so far, everybody loves the original but now there's a new favourite, thank you for your content, love this channel
Glad you like them! Super pleased 😁👍
Love your channel
Thanks for the onion bajees this is crispy 💜💞🤎😆
Absolutely Brilliant, Thank You, What do you do with your oil afterwards ?...
Just goes to show there are more ways of doing this. I make my batter for bhajis quite thin; not quite tempura but close to it. I have never made them with batter as stiff as here. Spices, yes; my own garam masala and a balti spice mix which is good for most applications. I use to go to the Lahore restaurant in east London years ago and their bhajis were made with my style of near tempura batter. I think a stiff batter runs the risk of too much floppy stodge in the middle.
It looks like it's fantastic keep it up ☺️
Very nice yum yum 😋 thank you for the video lesson 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🎅🏻🎄 and merry Christmas
I am making this on my next night off. They look so delicious!

The consistency is amazing and crispy to the crunchy taste. In the beginning of your video I felt teased but it was worth it. Thank you so so much. I want to eat delicious unique foods made by the British if can be a bit daunting in etiquette de rigueur in curiosity. Thank you madame
Awesome as always Shamza 👍🏻

Made these twice now thanks for the recipe and method, family can't eat enough of them 😂
Glad you like them!
I’ve made these, this is different and looks delicious 😋 going to give this a go 🤩
Hope you enjoy
I tried these last night and they were wonderful. A little too much coriander with the fresh, powder and seeds.
So omitted the powder for the second test batch and a little more chilli flakes and they were perfect for me.
Great video for not a very component cook like myself.
Thank you.
Wonderful! Glad the videos are easy to follow.
They look gorgeous 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
my gosh i reckon i could do these! thank you so much. big indian food lover here.
Yes you can! 🙌

That's very nice.Beautiful, looking very nice golden brown.Nice I love it
Thank you so much 😊
Can’t wait to make these at home, when I’ve got time. 👍
Have fun!
Super
Hi could these be done in a deep fat fryer? If so what temperature would you recommend please? They look gorgeous by the way looking forward to trying these
They look (and sound) fantastic. A very economical dish too. I always use too much batter with too much water and end up with a stodgy mess, uncooked in the middle and burnt on the outside. Your recipe and method looks much, much better.
Use as less water as possible. Onions are filled with water so their water will make the batter thinner
Hope you enjoy
Thank you for our recipe I also add cut fresh Green Hot Chilli and a spoon of Rice flour. Thanks you for your show as it help me.
Do you have an approx. temperature for the oil?
Watching from Kenya🇰🇪❤️
Love your recipes❤💯👌
Thanks so much 🙏😊
Look fantastic. Liked the fact you used olive oil. Like it better when you taste them at the end, as it felt there was something missing at the end. 😅
👌💕
I love your recipes and videos. Please please can you do a sweet rice tutorial. I've learnt so much from you.
Already up on the channel. Search Mutanjan / sweet rice 😊👍
@@MyLittleKitchenRecipes I did it's lovely. My daughter is so happy, and received great feedback I've made it twice.
need to make these, can you do veg and chicken pakora
Wow shamza..just come here looking for pakora recipe and look who I found😊...Good to see you 😊
Hey Zee.. Hope you're well! Welcome to My Little Kitchen 😜😊👍
Looks awesome. I wonder if you could make them without oil, healthy.
You need a small amount, or they'll be extremely dry.
Creezpy and croooncheee baajeehs
These bhajis look amazing! Just one question. Is it 1.5 tablespoons of corianders seeds + 1.5 tablespoons cumin seeds? Or, half and half? Thanks. Great videos
Hi Shamza do you recommend halfing the recipe for 2 or keeping the same amount of spices for 200g of onions great site by the way
Hi there, half the quantity of all ingredients for two people. Enjoy! 😊👍
Hi bw are yu? Can this be made in airfrir
Could I make these early in the morning for an afternoon birthday? Will they stay crunchy.
Lovely bhaji's and a new subscriber. Is that a yorkshire accent.
Thank you, no a Lancashire accent 😊👍
Great recipe.....have you tried to cook them in an air fryer
Yes I have and I'll share the recipe soon
That would be great thanks
Very nice recipe, and good explanation. I’m surprised there is no garlic or ginger in it. Your Ramadan started so you must be fasting, right? I’m sure you will be making lots of yummy things this month, looking forward to watch your videos.
Thank you for your comment, yes we've been very busy with ramadhan
Love this woman
Thank you 😊🙌 bless you
These look amazing! Just wanted to ask if it’s 1.5 tablespoons each of cumin seeds and coriander seeds?
Yes, correct.
@@MyLittleKitchenRecipesThank you for replying! Will make these over the weekend can’t wait!
I like salad cream with mine
Could I cook this in an airfryer and if so how long
I'll be sharing the recipe very soon.
For Gas Hob user
half full with oil at 170 Celsius. You want to use a thermometer to keep this temperature around this point so the bhaji cook thoroughly but do not burn hope it helps
Thanks
Would these work in the air fryer?
Yes, working on the recipe. Coming soon
how many will this serve pls
Approx 4 people
Could you Air fryer these
Yes, I'm currently working on a recipe. Please stay tuned.
Could this work in an air fryer?
Please see my recent upload. Airfryer Onion Bhajis :)
Can these be done in an air fryer?
Yes, recipe coming soon
❤️💕🥰😍😘👌👍👏
What is the difference between bhajias & pakoras ? 😊
You and latif inspired should collaborate for few videos
Aslam alakum hope u are keeping well good 😊 health with Allah’s ❤ & Duas mashallah 🥰 “Onion 🧅”Bhajis well done 👏 “CHIEF 👩🏼🍳💥⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I wonder if we can use the almond or coconut flour ? The wheat four is not healthy but onions are 😏and wouldn’t be easier to have the onions cut smaller ?
Never used either flour so cannot comment.
would be nice to see if these can be done in an oven?? deep frying seems like a lot of work!!!
You can try, but i dont think they will have the same taste or texture
@@MyLittleKitchenRecipes probably not. but I am wondering if a bake THEN a quick high-temperature fry with little olive-oil + butter or bacon fat will crisp them nicely?? a food / recipe experiment for me to try...
What’s the difference between a bhaji and pakora?
Pakora normally has onions and potatoes whereas a Bhaji is just onions only.
I definitely did not need all those spices to make it delicious.
English onions or Spanish onions
English onions
I made some tonight but didn't rewatch your video and remembered the recipe wrong, and they were awful. Forgot coriander seeds and added garlic and ginger. The ginger taste was completely wrong, and they were horrible. Had to bin them. I will try again and actually follow the recipe this time. Smh. 😂
Coriander is repulsive it tastes like soap. Could you do some cilantro/coriander free recipes?
I have diabetes and not allowed anything containing sugar. So those chutneys for me are out.
The green mint chutney has no sugar added, you could try using an alternative to dairy if your worried about the sugars.
Took way to long to get to the point of the video
This video feels a bit back to front - ask viewers to subscribe first, then shows her eating it, then the recipe. It's my first time to this channel and I'm already put off by that. I'd like to see the recipe first and to the point then I can decide if I wish to like and subscribe.
Not Baji, it means vegetable, the proper pronounciation is Bhaji
