- Today I’m challenging myself to color a page with ONE COLOR ONLY - Green! I’ve got 670+ green pencils from every brand in my colored pencil collection - can I use them ALL?

Have to respect that you go hard in the 1 color challenges, it's a creative way to challenge yourself. As far as the 1 color challenge: Greys. There are so many choices for tonal greys, I don't believe most people realize how much variation exists for for the color grey!

Color is so fascinating to me. It's interesting to see how different people perceive different colors. I'm highly sensitive to colors, so I can see very easily the yellows and blues in some of those greens, to the point where I wouldn't even consider them greens anymore. But, then again, almost no color is purely one hue. These challenges wouldn't be possible if one were to use only colors with pure hues. The result looks incredible.

If you're seeing blues in the green she's using then its not green, its aqua / turquoise.
Orange sounds like a real challenge! I'd love to see it. And maybe yellow!

I love these videos, 2 ideas to expand the concept, 1) a challenge with another artist, same picture same colour or different colours 2) a four season challenge each season coloured to the season (winter cold colours, summer warm colours, autumn autuminal colours, spring pastel)

It’s like listening to a friend.
This is quite interesting because green really is my least favourite colour, I hardly ever choose it for anything and I rarely like it in colour options so I was surprised how much I really liked the outcome. I didn’t realise just how many greens you could actually make and how many warm tones and cool tones you could create this really is a surprise to me.
Same. No idea why I dislike it so much but only use it when absolutely necessary. 🤷🏻♀️
Green has a great spectrum of options. From neon to jeweled tones is just so much fun. Green is becoming one of my favorite colors.

This is absolutely fabulous ! Colours I'd like to see used in the one colour challenge are - Orange, brown, grey, yellow and maybe a challenge with the green tones you eliminated from this one, like the teals and mints etc.

I'd bet that you could do a whole page just on shades of blue-green. Maybe tackle that after going through the solid color spectrum. Personally I'd like to see orange be the next color. It's my least favorite color, so I don't use it much. Maybe seeing a one color challenge would inspire me to use it more.

Gorgeous! I think you need to use the discarded colors...teals especially!!! They can have their own page.
The difficulty level here is way higher than this artist makes it appear! Green is such a subtle color, less bright than its complement red, and at its most chromatic only in a narrow value range. The assortment of pencils gave her a wide range of value, but we can see she employed a lot of skill and care in getting the most from the green color space. We know she's pretty serious about color theory, and this definitely shows that she knows how to apply those principles!

I'm so happy I came across this video. When I think of forest-shoes, an autumnal color palette immediately comes to mind but this intricate creation redefines that and adds an icy-cool, elvish, fantastical element to the mix. I visited a Jade museum once and the delicate work as well as the colors are really reminiscent of that. Also, massive shout to the artist who made that coloring book!

nice idea, but you won't convince me that you couldn't have made the exact same result with 'just' 60 green pencils. Exact same defined as: not distinguishable from each other by the human eye
the 600 extras feel like they are here for the youtube effect and not for your art
You know some people are diving in the sea of colors while some don't even have the money to buy even a single packet irrespective of how much they lust for them ... That's life!!!
The color on the pencil barrel can be inaccurate… But how about the color on the ‘lead’/tip itself? It seems like the more accurate way to go and that’s what I always look at when picking my color pencils, but I don’t have that many color pencils :P
Also, the dedication you putting these one color challenges together is incredible… Sorting out all the pencils, and then putting them back… That’s enough deterrence for me!

this is gorgeous, and actually i think 13 hours is a good time considering it was a double page kerby and 100s of pencils. i love one colour challenges, i’d like to see a teal challenge, a grey and a brown 😊

GREEN is almost the union of the primary colors so... that's why ppl give more attention to 2 colors formed color than only yellow or red picture for e.g.

Ooooh! This is going to be interesting! I have almost finished this page, it's one of my favourites. I did a night sky background (the bit that needs finishing), deep burgundy red leaves on the trees, dark wood and orange for the shop fronts/signs and my trainers are turquoise, lime green and hot pink - with the colours switched around so one trainer has pink flowers and the other has green ones or turquoise ones. Saying it like this it sounds horrible but it's actually looking pretty good so far, hopefully I don't ruin it!
Only halfway through the video and I already know this picture is going to be AMAZING at the end 😊💚
Sorting Things is like my favourite activity so putting things away after the fact would be the most fun to me XD LOVE the final result of this one, your plan for the colours really made everything look stunning!!

Personnaly, I prefer using 2 to 4 colors in one coloring. I think Kerby Rosanes' designs re perfect for that kind of challenge or a minimal palette. He's my favorite artist.
