If the section you cut goes out, you can press the reset button and they should come back. Also you probably don't want to cut them while powered on. It seems the Gover lights are as good as any of the high end ones such as Type S which I used in my jeep grill after modifying them to go the way I wanted them to go.
i have them too and i have like 40cm left and these cm anoy me so much. can you show what happens to for example the rainbow or meteor mode if you cut them somewhere pls`?
its honsetly alot better to buy feit electric lights. MY govee lights that cost 50$ already burned out in blue within a year. This means i cant do a lot of colors since blue is a primary color. Feit lights are much better quality since the have a protective cover, and you can actually cut them
I cut one roll from the two I had connected to the switch bcs I didn’t need that much , now any light turns on , even if I put it back wire by wire . Could you help me ?
I'm on the road to 20K SUBS! It would mean a lot if you can help me reach that goal🫡
i just put govee rgbic strips up today and you can cut them perfectly fine, just cut along the dotted line between the copper

@dog0311 Is this confirmed? I'm scared to cut them xD
Is there a difference between the RGBIC and the Pro ones in term of cutting?
@@durall1298only thing that could happen is you loose that section you cut or the one after it if you cut too close to that side
I believe that these RGBIC cannot be joined using LED strip connectors without soldering. But can the normal RGB ones be connected that way?
I have the same led stip and connect them with a corner led connector and it works fine
You can cut and extend just buy the 4 wire cable and the wire adapter looks like a Ethernet plug end sort of
That’s true I cut mine and it won’t do any effect if someone knows how to fix it plz tell me
You can only cut on the black line
worked perfectly fine for me
HE DID IT PLUGED UP DAAAA
Yes for comments and experiment
If you’re really careful you can sauder them back together and still use the full connectivity. I don’t recommend doing this at the end of the day.
What about at the beginning of the day
Can you use corner connectors with these
No they cant be reconnected, only possible hand soldered
@@christiansmith2005so you can’t even use the L shape connectors to go around corners? Surely not
@@christiansmith2005and how do you hand solder it
wow this video was helpful now i know NOT to cut the leds light
are you restarted? people cut bc it ends, and then use it in another place, get a fken brain
Well, too late now but thanks xD why didn't i find your Video before

the features still work even after you cut it
I don't know if they still work if you use a connector tho
Huh, looks like I know what I'm doing later. (My lights have two lines and the second line doesn't even finish unfortunately.)
Hi, anyone cut the RGBIC outdoor LED strip light and if so, where??!!! Thanks in advance.

My Govee light strip broke so I cut the broken part and everything is fine. Still working great.
@user-nk8kj6em7v The RGBIC
Do the animations still work correctly?
@@stanfieldjeanty9204 Yes. I don’t have any problems. You have to cut where the scissors are. Nowhere else.
@@Deenieswedendoes the animations look weird because the rest of the strip is gone? or does it still sync right
@@Axtrious No. everything is fine. Just make sure you cut where the scissors symbol is.
I just want 40 foot of Rgbic pro led strips bro 😭 in one continuous strip, why can’t I find it
Cutting the M1 has no negative effect on anything. I don’t know what everyone is talking about
Well it only program by led sync but if you reconnect and it will not turn on till you restart the power to get tyrn on
mine connect, but they just turn green 😢
So do these need plastic covers? Because i have them installed and im not so certain about them being so exposed and all
