Fun one I've been eyeing for awhile here: Zero SIevert - thanks to the dev, Cabo, for the key :) - Definitely a more slow-paced one for the pixel art which might set you thinking it's going to be very arcadey. But I liked it overall. Still in EA. Definitely worth a look, especially if you have a good long plane date with a laptop coming up.
Growing up with Commodore 64's, I never imagined an era where PC's of 10,000x the processing power would INTEND art based on 1980's pixels. But it's glorious. Thanks for what you do, Amphibian!

@@RaizanMedia gun play is great if you have never fired a gun. you can shoot a 5.56 rifle against your junk and feel nothing. In tarkov it kicks like a .308. it's the same with most calibers. Also most enemies take 5+ rounds to kill, even unarmored. It's not realistic, hardcore, maybe.

@@Lex4122 Reload! You're probably gonna die a lot at the beginning. That's the first part. The AI doesn't mess around, and will surprise you at first in firefights. Reload! Carrying capacity and thirst are the two biggest hindrances while you're getting going. I like to prioritize jewelry, guns, and water before anything else on runs. Reload! The AK equivalent is the best all rounder to start with. It's nice at range and the ability to switch to full auto makes it good up close for things that run at you. If you leave one of your weapon slots open at the beginning of a run you can use the second slot to carry a weapon you find on a run without impacting your limited max weight allowance. When reach my extract point, I like to clear the area and really load up my inventory, since you have a good amount of weight you can go over before you are unable to move. If I know I'm safe I'll load myself to the brim before extracting. Every extra ruble counts at the beginning. And last... Don't forget to reload!

I'm stoked you got a chance to play this and make some content about it. I have like 50 hrs on this game between last years alpha release and steam's most recent demo release. It's crazy fun, even if a bit grindy. love the crossfire scenarios I stumble on. bandits getting eaten by wolves and boar or hunters picking fights with loners, researchers getting slain by blinks etc. really adds to the immersion. great sound design too, with the crows swooping onto fresh kills, or howling in the night. super hyped over the early access release in a few days.
I gotta say the artstyle on the weapons is REALLY well done, i can identify most weapons at a glance from SKS to Makarov. Thats really well done with such few pixels. Kudos to the artist.

1:07:06 When you go to loot 2 cabinets that are side by side. After you loot the first one and move to the second one, the first loot menu is still for the first cabinet you have to switch to the other one manually to open the second one.
18:05 definitely a time when it would be nice to have your sidearm. The impression I get is that it's worth swapping close quarters and long range weapons when moving through areas like that, especially when monsters and melee enemies are about.
those little brown piles on the ground that kind of look like an x made out of sticks are secret stashes you passed like 3 of them when you killed the wolves, they can have some good loot in them, especially food and water

Any appliance that has an LCD display is likely to have relays in it. If you want to annoy people, you could say it's a monostable un-doped assembly for implementing semi-synchronous asymmetrical transfer functions between incompatible circuit architectures.
I’ve been playing for a little bit now and it really hurt watching you throw away that rifle in the extraction zone with the scope and grip. I know the rifle was bad but I mean you could’ve taken the ammo or sold it too after ripping the parts :(
Objectives don't reset. You just can't turn them in until all objectives are met. Also have to collect all items from a quest, and keep them between outings. It would be helpful if you could turn in partial quests. Multiple gather quests take up a lot of room in storage. Been playing, and learning this for about 60 hours. Goal oriented quests like take away this much loot and get this high score as part of the same quest don't have to be completed on a single run.
The gamma modpack is a bit much for a new player to get into, but I would highly suggest Anomaly in itself as it fixes to much of the old games and ties it up nicely
My first hour of this game was stumbling through the forest learning what is what. I didn't even fire my gun for like 5 attempts. I just immediately died lol.
I have been playing the demo a lot. This game is pretty solid. If you are careless it will kill you, but it's not impossible. If you are cautious and well equipped it's not too difficult. Dying doesn't hurt too much, it's like the trip that killed you never happened. The building system is kinda grindy, but not excessively so. I wish it was clearer about the specific benefit provided by the modules. The game is very satisfying, I highly recommend it. Grabbing the full version when it comes out tomorrow.
The PPSH 41 is one of my favorite guns. The name is pronounced phonetically in English, mostly, “P” “P” “S” “H” 41. I believe in Russia they call it “Pipashove” or “Papashove”, which is apparently the phonetic pronunciation in Cyrillic… if I worded that correctly. TOOB! Haha

Why did you drop the gun at the extraction point? Seems like you could have kept it, sold it, then bought ammo for your main weapon. Logic kinda went out the window on this one boss. I don't think I can watch you play this.
I have never seen someone drop a weapon on the ground in a loot based game right before leaving the raid when you could actually just sell it back at the base. How does it work in your 🧠
Oooo there is another one. What's it called? Subterrain? I picked it up and I'm loving all these top down or pixel art games. Ostranauts is sort of an immerssove space sim top down from the devs from that pixel survival game. So many great low tech high gameplay games now.
This update is following 15 hours of streaming Zero Sievert. The leveling system is more complicated then at first look. When you fully level up a skill, for example the Style Skill, you are able to upgrade the it to a secondary skill. For me I upgraded Style into Stealth which makes enemy harder to detect you as well gives a bunch for steal attacks. Gun play is well done like the recoil which even as a isometric game is fantastic. For the most part I snipe but I found that having a full automatic gun as your secondary is ideal for emergency’s. Customization while not as complex as fallout 4, obviously you will find yourself looting for that one special part for your favorite gun. There are extremely powerful enemies just like a level boss. You can feel your progression as you state to survive encounters with these crazy powerful enemies. Above that these enemy’s have a chance of dropping epic equipment. Just Found that one out today when I found very good armor. The game of course is still in production. It has a few small bugs but for the most part it runs fine. You can tell that there is a ton of potential.
You're missing so many chests in the back of those compounds. Devs should really work on the generation time for the maps though. Given how quickly you can die I feel that can put you off equally as quick when you're constantly in a loading screen.
@@peteg22397 your right, i found out what i was doing wrong, i was not accounting for recoil throwing off my accuracy so my 2nd shot would not hit scan cause i was not waiting for my scope cross hair to stop moving
Nop u take mosin and kill Lazer for his gun then use that with a scope keeping ur second slot free for weapons so they dont take up weight when u loot.

i dont usually notice sound design, but its just so good in this game. running through the woods in a storm is just perfect.

I can’t believe how similar this is to tarkov. Even down to the quest for nuts and bolts and the item menu. So cool.

You should do a stalker gamma playthrough, lots of content can be made, the atmosphere is insane especially in underground areas

for scoped guns the hit scan only works for the first round , tho i think from the demo sub sonic rounds are hit scan
Not quite. The hitscan works only when your scope crosshair is directly on the enemy itself

It's hitscan if the scoped-in reticle is directly on the enemy, otherwise it behaves like a normal projectile

This has shades of a game called Cannon Fodder about it, looks pretty cool
SKS is best weapon 4 start imo and the doctor also has a quest to start .If you shoot through scope then there is no bullet travel time
