The most disturbing thing about Homelander to me, and I fucking hate the guy, is that part of me feels really fucking good that atleast one human being in history is gifted with all that power and privilege. After what he suffered which being his "childhood", it feels good to see him do so "well" in a way. I feel good to see his pride of his unmatched power. To me Homelander is a symbol of the deepest darkest desires within all of us. For me, I started being really resentful and hateful after the age of 15 when I started seeing how awfully human beings treat stray animals (I live in a third world country). I have had to endure many instances of intruding cats being beaten and hurt by many people. I have always wanted be a Homelander to them. I did take the help of animal NGOs but unfortunately for these people, the animal abusers, fear is the only language they truly understand, and understand for ever. I did get what I wanted but in exchange of a reputation for moral turpitude. I just wished Homelander wasn't such a fucking psychopath, he should have been able to look beyond his selfishness.
