I think the live action show explains it. Black Noir saw Homelander as the new Soldier Boy and immediately concluded the best way to well… survive was to be on Homelander’s side
Season 4 was so good because it explained a lot about what drives Homelander. They brought the best psychologist in the world to train little homelander into seeking approval from people, he could've broken out of the white room anytime he wanted, even when they put him in the furnace to see if his skin would burn he stayed, because he wanted to make them proud. So when he made a mistake killing these hostages, and they still clapped and gave him approval, that's what created the homelander we see now.

Damn black noir just ad bad as him. But I get why he killed her. She lives she squeals, their industry collapses, so he kills her, fakes a story and now they get paid still lol
I feel like for Noir he genuinely did this because of how Homelander is Soldier Boy Part 2 And given how Soldier Boy did him, I'm not surprised Noir decided to just follow the "can't beat em, join em" mindset. He doesn't really strike me as the type to care about money, idk tho.
I’m pretty sure he did it purely to protect Vought because in the show he is just mainly portrayed as Edgar’s personal Hitman and in the flashback to when he was with soldier boy he also seemed pretty close to Edgar.
Also as a way to protect himself. By endearing himself to protect Homelander, Noir's less likely to be killed. He knows what it's like when a super strong hero wants to destroy him, he probably still has trauma from Soldier Boy abusing him.
There's a few reasons. 1. He was a major part in even helping conceive Homelander, Homelander wouldn't really be a thing if Noir didn't help get rid of Soldier Boy first, so I'm sure there's some sense of responsibility he feels to him or some kind of interesting mentality from that. This is also kind of shown with how he watches Homelander afterwards making his tea, it gives the sense that he's not just doing it out of fear but because he actually feels some level of responsibility and interest in Homelander, like he wants to be a mentor to him, and to do right by him. Maybe to avoid having another Soldier Boy, and because, like stated already, Homelander is something he helped create. He in many ways was Homelander's most positive role model and father figure(Not to say he was a good one, but the arguably best compared to Stan Edgar or Vogelbaum). He did everything Soldier Boy said he would if he had the chance to be Homelander's father. Gave him the spotlight, taught him some of the earlier reigns supposedly, he was there for Homelander start to finish. 2. He doesn't want to get killed by him, easy as that. 3. Vought by this point has likely made him a slave already, he is their tool, their dog on a leash. Anything that's a risk to them he must get rid of. They have made him their personal weapon and hitman for just that purpose. It's also another facet of his tragedy.
I mean to be fair the detectives are gonna be pretty concerned after speculating how a “bomb” snapped someone’s neck and lazered a few people in half, I guess homelander and BL still might still have time to burn the bodies and cover there tracks or something.
At this point you got to feel for the kid. He was never trained for any of this. Lived in cage his whole life and raised by a corporation. Had a mental breakdown and only had enablers around to make him worst. Is it any surprise he turned in to what he became.

This episode makes me think that if Homelander wasn't limited by live action budget, he would have more destructive showings of power and is much stronger than what a live action budget can account for.
I can't be the only one surprised of how smart Black Noir is, shows you he isn't just a mindless ninja, he practically won in the most unwinnable situation
This is what i miss from the TV shows. TV shows is just building level fights. The supes showing their powers. We can see HL flying in wide camera shots ,Noir dodging laser beams.Smoke bombs, etc. Its like Batman vs Superman type of fight. TV show is 1 laser death.Gut punch and fights over.We dont see homelander flying like this in the shows.
So basically he had feelings when he was young. He wanted to do good and use his powers like a hero. Nobody trained him to control his strength as a kid so as an adult he dosen't know how to hold back. Sort of like how dogs are taught. Puppies play and when they bite too hard they get corrected by their parent or playmate so they know better next time. That's why he told Ryan it wasn't his fault for killing his mom (don't think he did, her throat was cut not burned). Homelander had to shut off his feelings and distance himself because if you kill enough people and pets by accident, shutting down emotionally is the only way to cope.
Noir did him a solid and they have been best friends ever since. Like Homelander is never angry with Noir. NEVER. Heck seeing him propably unconditionally brings him joy.

@@Reliant1864Yes but in this scene Homelander is 18 years old (in fact it is his first rescue), Homelander at 18 is stronger than Mark at 18 and is much more similar to Omniman in the way of thinking
This is a way better fight than the one we got between them in season 3.
"It's not really a competition, is it?"
*immediately falls for the same trick a fourth time*
An animated series with the boys will also work so good, maybe even better and the animation is top tier level..
Too bad Black Noir's plot armor didnt save him in the main show 😢
He doesn’t have plot armor he literally has powers lol
@@Dabatman It's still plot armor. Homelander is way faster than him and can trace his heartbeat.
@@TheStraightestWhitest homelander can’t fly as fast as Superman and noir being fast is apart of his power so it’s not plot armor
@@TheStraightestWhitest this is a far less experienced and blood thirsty homelander, so it makes sense that he won’t be on his A game
@@Dabatman He doesn't need to be as fast as Superman to catch Noir. Noir is inhumanly fast of course, but Homelander casually outpaced C4.
Black Noir never speaking but just acting is so much better communication, especially as he showed to Homelander that cleaning up shitstorms like that is a part of the horrific terrible superhero jobs at Vought.
“YOU guys are the real heros” classic
black noir was like dude chill the fuck out im tryin to fix your shit just wait one second
THAT WAS EXACTLY WHAT INVINCIBLE DID WHEN HE MADE THE SAME MISTAKE💀💀 AT 1:56
damn, i never noticed that while watching season 2
@@axlrosest ME TOO
The greatest thing is that they got the actual actor for Black Noir to voice over his lines.
I really wish they made more of "Diabolical".
i love how this shows that homelander wasnt born evil. while hes definitely at the evil deuchebag state by the time this happened, you can tell that the decent hadn't reached anywhere close to where he was by the time he met becka
The fact Noir here is the most funny acting he will ever be
This episode makes me think that if Homelander wasn't limited by live action budget, he would have more destructive showings of power and is much stronger than what a live action budget can account for.
I can't be the only one surprised of how smart Black Noir is, shows you he isn't just a mindless ninja, he practically won in the most unwinnable situation
Noir learnt. Don't fight the bully. Befriend him.
1:56 Take note, when you see a character slick their hair back that's when you know they've seen the Light....Yagami.
to be more specific, nishiki from yakuza, he even did the slick back hair with the blood
I guess you could say this show was pretty...diabolical
Ba dum tss
BOO THIS MAN!!!
“Perhaps I overreacted”
The overreaction in question:
Clean animation and portrayals
Homelanders worst enemy is his own mind. He didn’t even let noir react or breathe before he was crashing out about getting told on, Like a little kid.
Homelander really said " oh, didn't know you were chill like that my bad bro"
Bro was already used to live with a psycho
It really feels like he wanted to be a hero here but was just terrible at his job
if this was comic Black Noir, Homelander woulda been toast right here
Totally.
Because comic Black Noir is also technically Homelander lmao
The characters in the show are more powerful than those in the comics.
This Homelander > Black Noir (comic)
This makes Homelander looks like he just couldn't control himself and thats why he seems like a villain
Where is the guy who explained what the note said…
I paused it and it's kinda hard to read but i figured it out.

Its like Batman vs Superman type of fight.

W fight scene
Noir did him a solid and they have been best friends ever since. Like Homelander is never angry with Noir. NEVER. Heck seeing him propably unconditionally brings him joy.

Noir is a badass. He plays defensive against Homelander like that.
Did he just do Jazz hands?😭😭
The way he said "ohh fuck😮" got me laughing🤣
This fight prove that Homelander is easily a victim of almost all fiction.
POV: Black Noir actually recorded all this stuff to frame Homelander later and just used this as a strategy to survive
They screwed Noir so bad. He wouldn't need to run unless for shits n twisted gigs, to fuck with homelander.
