Good video. What do you think about electric anode rods?
They work but people unplug them. Also they can fail.

@@jeffreyplumber1975 I'm installing from Amazon. It looks identical in every way for as the corro for 65.00. Wouldn't be surprised it's made by the same company, re-branded by corro and marked up.
We have. They are great as long as they are plugged in. If not then it's game over.
Can you use an aluminum anode rod, along with an a magnesium anode rod in the same tank?
Yes but you should match them up for best performance.
I have a GE/rheem gas water heater model pg38t09axkoo. Did I need to get the drain ball valve like the one you show with a 3" or 2" shank? Thank you.
I never saw his kind I just use a standard ball valve w 3 inch nipple then i put a hose adapter on the other side
No. You can get a shorter shank. No less than 2" It depends on model and depth of insulation.
