- NO BREAD FLOUR DONUTS How to make Donut | doughnuts, , here is another great Donut recipe, easy to make, no donut cutter, No mixer, yet perfect round shaped donuts.
please Note : there are 2 major type of yeast (instant yeast & dry yeast ) I used instant yeast in this video , however you can use dry yeast also but the way you use each differs, INSTANT YEAST: you can add to dry ingredient as shown in the video ,DRY YEAST: you will need to proof, to proof ,add dry yeast to your warm milk or water(not hot ) leave for 5-7 minutes , its going to foam then you can go ahead with the process.if it doesn't foam the yeast is bad.
N:B I mentioned in the video that you should not add more flour, that is only if the texture you got is like what I have in the video, if not ,you can add like 2 tbsp if it is more messy than the texture in the video, flour differs.
Here are the ingredients for your soft donuts| doughnuts
warm (not hot ) milk/water 250 ml 1 cup
large egg 1
all purpose flour (you can also use bread flour if you wish ) 2&3/4 (352g) or 3 cups if using water
sugar (3 or 4 tbsp )depends on sweet you want it
instant yeast (2 tsp)
salt 1/2 tsp
Butter 2 tbsp

After 5-6 try outs, I finally made it! Mine is so fully and tall. Instead of dividing into 12-14, I did by 8. I struggled a bit kneading it and almost gave up because it's so sticky. I added flour a bit by bit, butter and oil till it's easy to knead. I let it sit over 1 hr and making the shapes. It's not as smooth surface like yours but it's really good. What I did, I rolled it roundly then patted down a bit, cut with glass and made a small hole in the middle. I adjusted the stove heat a bit from med to a bit lower. Thanks for sharing the recipe.
This worked SO VERY WELL. Great old-fashioned taste that I remember as a kid when doughnuts were made from scratch and not mixes. I feel so empowered now to not EVER have to depend on quality and freshness from some doughnut shop. Very basic and easy. THANKS TONS!! :)

This was such a great recipe..I swear my family LOVED IT!! I had to add more all purpose flour..it was very sticky and I was scared that I over kneaded the dough as it seemed to be stiff..but I trusted the process and after resting my dough was double the size and was very soft. I wish we had somewhere where we can post the outcomes today I followed the Vedio till and product was achieved. ...wow the white lines I say....I have never cooked soft doughnuts like these but the only think I disliked was the stickiness I added very little flour I couldn't knead it it was so messy my shoulders are aching but I have sweet doughnuts with me...thumps up I'll be here for likes and views ..❤

Pretty good recipie but make sure when you are gunna fry them, put the pater in aswell then take the papaer off when the donughts arent sticking to it. It just avoids oil splashing and burning you! Pretty good recipie tho

Doesn’t absolve oil , if in the refrigerator 2 weeks , just warm for 20 sec on the microwave

I tried this recipe used water instead of milk, and it's sooo nice the mistake that I made was placing the dough on top of greased parchment it sticked to the paper and didn't wanna come out it was sad

It’s Celsius I guess , the one that has the lower temp . Your oil should not be too hot and not too cool
@ foodzizzles, Celsius is higher than farenheit. Like 180 Celsius equals 356 farenheit.
(180°C × 9/5) + 32 = 356°

Add little more flour if it’s too sticky , I know I said don’t add more flour to your dough, but I later said people should add more flour because flour differs and consumes water differently .

Well done for the recipe, I tried it but the body of my doughnut after frying wasn't smooth at all, it was just rough. Also when kneading, it kept glueing to my hands and the rings were not so visible. What did I do wrong? Thank you, awaiting your reply.
Although I said you should not add more flour in the video when sticky but I later realized flour defers and consumes water differently , and then I corrected that in my description , that if the flour is too sticky add more flour . Sorry about that.

Your donut not being smooth was because it was too sticky , if it’s not too sticky and it’s well risen , it should be smooth right from when you rolled into a ball shape.
