    I saw this thumbnail and thought finallyyyyy the intarsia or fair isle tutorial I’ve been waiting for! 😩
    Still very lovely! 🥰

      Awww... I'm sorry, an intarsia project is still on my list of ToDo's! (to knit this heart, we would have needed that, to work it in intarsia technique). For the moment, I have some simple fair isle projects:

    I've made the first one, now starting its pair. I did learn though, that I'd gone a bit too long on the heel/foot opening section. Will just put a drawstring through this pair. Next pair I'll stop sooner. Also, by 'trying on' while still on the loom, I went too long overall & had to unravel about 6 rows or so. Again, lesson learned for the next pair. Other than that, easiest slippers I've made. And my other patterns weren't hard!

    so lovely and easy to follow tutorial, especially the heart stitches. My question is, why knit the heel in flat panel if you’re going to seam them up afterwards anyway? Wouldn’t they be smoother without a seam? I’m planning on knitting these for my son-in-law’s grandmother, for her 90th! Thanks!

      Hi Mary Beth! Thank you so much for your feedback :)
      You could work the heel like in this other project: ua-cam.com/video/aVRwJPKbu7A/v-deo.html (with "decreases" and "increases"), but I wanted to share a simple and easy project, so that's why I did it in that other way

    Muchas gracias de cualquier forma.
    Un besote desde Bcn.

    How would you adjust the size these for kids ?

    • @Tuteate
      @Tuteate  2 роки тому

      Hi Sara! We would need a narrower loom or we could use this same loom but working with a fewer number of pegs. Then, we would need to work the whole slipper in flat panel (we would need to work a rectangle), and sew it the end to give it the slipper shape...

  • @elisavet1750
    @elisavet1750 2 роки тому

    Nooooo! You should have shown all the process for the heart for us noobies.
    Love the slippers though.

      You mean every embroidered stitch? Every one is worked in the same way so, if you try this project, I think you'll see that the video shows enough (in my opinion), or at least I hope so

      @@Tuteate It's a little bit difficult to know where to place the stitch, but since I loved it I'll give it a try and see. Maybe once I start it, it will easier than I think.

      It’s called duplicate stitch, there’s many tutorials and it’s not difficult.

    Couldn't tell,but it looks like the first peg was skipped and they started on the second peg.

    • @Tuteate
      @Tuteate  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Alicia! Yes, when we are working the heel part, we work in flat panels and every row starts skipping the first peg and knitting the rest :)
