There's a lot more than just movies. There's comics, there's graphic novels, there's books, there's video games. The lore is EXTENSIVE.
I loved AVP extinction. I never got chances to read comics, and frankly can't afford them. Of course if I'm in a hobby store, I'll skim through a comic if I can, but rarely buy. I'm more of a gamer and loved to play as the Alien(s).

Most of the alien types are from video games, toys, and comics not the movies hopefully you wont make the same mistake and misjudge a scenario when you're ignorant about the material. The bull, flying, and swimmer alien come from the comics and the Neca toy line
The chrysalis came from the Alien vs predator arcade game
The Praetorian first appeared in the comics and later in the video games
The carriers and ravages were from the game aliens versus predator: extinction
The predaliens appeared in the comics, but they are best known from the move, Aliens vs predator: Requiem
I'm not sure if the newborns are in this scenario, but they came from the movie alien: resurrection
You said you've only seen the first two alien movies, which is fine because they're the only good movies in the franchise.

Spitters also came from Colonial Marines.
The runner is the alien from alien 3 that's a result of a facehugger impregnating a dog. Also another cut of the movie had it impregnate a cow I believe

A lil bit of Xeno lore: The "Drones" are basically the classic Xeno that you see in Alien 1 with the smooth head, they're the first in the adult stages of Xenos.
"Warriors" are older and tougher versions of the Drones, they have ridges on their heads and act as - you guessed it - the warriors of the hive. You see them in Aliens (Alien 2).
"Runners" are Xenos that are born from dogs or similar quadruped animals instead if the usual humans, since Chestbursters take traits from their host as they grow the Runners are quadruped, and can run extremely quickly. You see the Runner in Alien 3.
Also, most of the different types of Xenos like the Spitters, Praetorians, Boilers, Flying Aliens etc. don't appear in the movies, but appear in the official video games and comics, and trust me there are LOADS of those

A lot of Xeno forms and abilities come from the extended universe (Boiler, Spitter, and Crusher are from the Colonial Marines video game; Chrysalis and Flying Xeno are from arcade games, and the Swimmer Xenos are from comics, and the Bull is likely a nod to the third film's director's cut, where the Alien impregnated an ox instead of a dog, as well as a toy made by Kenner). Whoever made this plugged the Wiki for some of the more interesting breeds, I'll give them that.

Also, every Alien in this scenario are from the games and comics I believe so they're not really common knowledge unless you're super into the franchise

There is something very amusing about you talking about bad fan fiction and then bringing up Prometheus throughout the video. Anyway it was very good of you to go back and correct a mistake you made.
Boilers are an absolute nightmare in aliens: colonial marines, the sneaking level trying not to make a sound whilst walking through water. And the realisation that you've made a sound and you have a hoard of aliens running towards you is horrific!

The xenomorph is a very diverse species due to it's abilities to basically be a DNA hijacker. All of these variants and abilities you see are in the lore. However the only ones seen in the movies were the queens, drones, warriors, spitters, runners, predaliens, and standard facehuggers.
Aliens and Predators are owned by two different studios, so without an external source would have never happened. Enter 'Dark Horse ', the print media company that licensed both (along with Star Wars and a few other properties).
Dark Horse is often considered a comic company, but they actually primary did novels. A subsidiary, Dark Horse Comics, makes graphic novel versions of their novels.
So they had a really nice series of Aliens novels going before Predators was even a licensed property. They did a bunch of Predators novels before they appeared in an Aliens novel. I can't remember the girl's name but she and broke tusk survived with her becoming his prodigy.
After that, Aliens vs Predators became a thing. It took trying for over a decade to make the first AvP movie. They are also effectively the official canon producer for a whole host of properties. They were for Star Wars for example up until the Mouse bought it and threw out all canon.
In the lore when the queen dies all patrorians will fight and the winner becomes the queen

The Boilers were introduced in Aliens: Colonial Marines, then a ton of the other upgrades were from AVP: Extinction.

A LOT (all but the Runner, Warrior, Drones, and Queen) are from video game entries and Dark Horse comics. VERY obscure, it's one of those scenarios where the movies fell behind extended lore as the primary source of canon.
Try Prometheus Plague. It's based on the same universe, but takes a different approach
I wish you could make custom models for custom scenarios that work the same as for example the shadow plague so that way it would genuinely feel as if it were like an official disease in the game or something

The only time an egg hatched more than one Facehugger was in the comics. There were specific types of eggs the would hatch a regular hugger, but also a “Royal” hugger as well, so that gives us 2 Facehuggers hatching from one egg. 4 at the same time, I’m not so sure if that was a thing, I think that’s just in the scenario.
Seems like this sort of thing would be more of a "Shadow Plague" sort of thing.....
(But yeah, wasn't out at that time, sure, even so, could be a fun idea?)

Destroying the research/defense base can set back the cure, even at 100% in the original game.

20:56 i know i'm 2 years late but i wanted to share some theories about how he could have done it (i'm a begginer programmer myself)
1.the easiest thing to do (and the least funny one), he could just have made having praetorian as a winning condition
2.He could calculate the winning chance of the elite team to kill the queen depending on how much infected there are and how much dead
3.He could calculate it depending on the severity and lethatiliy of the plague
4.He could give each symptome possible a value and if the value of your plague is lower than the strenght of the team, you loose
(he could calculate the strenght of the elite team depending on how much survivor there are)
Thats the idea i've come up with a bit of thinking, The creator of this scenario could have done something totally different
If you don't get Praetorians in time when "Mission to Kill the Queens" pops up, then you get killed queens and a massive stat drop (I believe)

The facehugger that creates a queen xenomorph instead of a regular xenomorph, and the queen lays eggs, which make facehuggers. Which makes xenomorphs, and also every so often the queen lays an egg that makes a royal facehugger, making another chance to make a.. Hive I think?

The warrior Xenomorph (and I know it's two years too late) icon was holding one arm up getting ready to slam it down, presumably into a person that's what the two hulking masses in the left and right were, no it doesn't have wings and it's crest is similar to the queen's

The issue is actually the autistic fan base of the aliens series. Even if he was fevered up, the mod (probably an ESL in the writer's defense) was poorly written, had multiple grammar errors, misleading descriptions (do we really need to know that an alien variant can slice a chopper in half? Or that all of them are >1.8 meters in size when it's explained multiple times in case you never saw the movies? And let's not kid ourselves, he read up on it, he has experience in the only decent movies in the series (1 and 2), and most of these alien variants ARE terrible fan fiction tier writing by people lacking brain cells (I sure as hell lost a few playing Colonial Marines).
On top of that the mod makes little to no sense itself. (Where's the queen? Do you need specifically praetorians or would the other "awesomer" powered aliens actually mean something? Is it an automatic game over or are you at least given a chance with the royal upgrade? I understand some of it is actually limitations in the custom, but at least specify if something will fuck you over and how to deal with it.
What would you like him to do, read up on whatever arbitrary wooliness is considered canon thanks to a billion comics and spinoffs? Fuck it, they're _aliens_

I think this scenario would be a better fit for the simian flu; managing the colonies as hives and ape migration could be aliens spreading into neighboring countries to collect more hosts. The ape stealth and combat options could easily connect to the xeno sub-breeds like drones and soldiers. And other stuff like that would be much better
