Big fan of the SOPMOD style, and I don't say the much but your logo looks very subtle and slick on your product. Very nice. Cannot wait for SOPMOD in Desert Tan to come back into stock.
@@sunandshadow_llc I am and I will repost on instagram. Ya know running any height on an ar15 is conducive for some type of cheek rider but the linear operation does KILL my neck after even 10rnds. The Velcro is an awesome and genius idea. I think y’all did an awesome thing and excited to get one
@@tracea06 Yes, we use packing tape. There is another youtube video on our channel (and linked in that buffer tube data card download page) that helps to show the install process; it's the best method we've found to both seal the paper from water and also prevent the stock from catching on the lip of the tape.
The Velcro backing is intended to be a break-away design to reduce snag hazard. The risers break away between 10-20 lbs of pull force depending on the model and the number of cycles on the Velcro. We've used these during matches, Tactical Games, etc over several years and haven't had one come off yet over a lot of sling work, climbing, woods runs, and the like.
So while problem solving how to get an actual cheek weld and still being able to successfully employ the Unity FAST Eotech riser and Unity FAST OMNI FTC magnifier mount, I cam across your site. I tried the B5 precision carbine stock, it felt weird and not functional at all. This though, may indeed be exactly what I need.
Thanks for your interest in our products! The SOPMOD riser does fit the BCM Mod 1 SOPMOD but there is a little overhang on the back over the sling QD point.
I have to tell you, there is a HUGE market for something like this for the TUBE of the Keltec sub2000! I have been searching for something other than that stupid sleeve M Carbo makes. The pounding I take from that tube is rediculous.
The risers release between 10-20 lbs depending on model and the number of cycles on the hook and loop. They were intentionally designed to break away for reduced snag hazard and also to allow for repositioning if needed.
Just bought the SOPMOD riser for my B5. Very elegant design but seems rugged enough. Looking forward to getting it.
Thanks for your order! I’m sure you’ll dig it 🤙

Thanks for the kind words! The Desert Tan SOPMOD riser just made it back in stock!

I like that range chart on your stock. Did you make that?
Thanks and yes! The template is free to download in the “downloads” tab on our site, www.sunnshadow.com
@@sunandshadow_llc you guys are awesome! Do you just print it out as a sticker or tape it down with packaging tape or something?

How reliable is the hook and loop over heavy use? What's the likelihood that the riser could tear off under use?

Did this work? I'm in the same boat. Was thinking of going with a magpul moe and a gbrs or other cheek riser
how does it hold up in water?
All of the adhesives we use in assembly have excellent water resistance. Good to go 🤙
Will the sopmod riser for the b5 systems bravo (non enhanced) stock?
Yes, the SOPMOD riser fits great on the B5 Bravo!
does it fit a magpul ctr?
Yes, the Slim Stock Riser does fit the Magpul CTR.
Would the sopmod model fit onto a bcm mod 1 stock?
Thanks for your interest in our products! The SOPMOD riser does fit the BCM Mod 1 SOPMOD but there is a little overhang on the back over the sling QD point.
@@sunandshadow_llc Got it. Thank you for the quick response

Would the Sopmod version for a Magpul SL-S?
We recommend the Slim Stock Riser for any of the stocks in Magpul SL line.
B5 stock
👏🏻
Ya idk about Velcro. Seems sketchy. Especially for $40.

Sorry sir but $51 dollars after shipping for a piece of plastic and some velcro is way too much. I paid less for my actual b5 bravo stock
