Shotgunner's Pro Tip: If putting a 6-po stock on your shotgun, choose one with a removable buttpad. I went with Hogue. Then you can remove the buttpad, and use it to transfer the hole location to your factory shotgun recoil pad. Drill the holes in the factory recoil pad using the new locations. Using the screws from the new 6-po stock, attach the factory recoil pad onto the new stock. Works like magic, and much better than a janky slip-on. You' re Welcome 👍

I wanted to put run idea by professional ears... I've been thinking that someone needs to manufacture an AR stock with drop by now. To mount the rifle without compromising posture, dudes are adding incredibly tall risers. The parallax is unparalleled... (:P) The appeal of a strait impulse... in my eyes, it just starts to fade after confronting the complications it brings to most stances. Of further note: I understand that risers are a special case for dot sights, and parallax isn't a pressing concern. For LPVOs and other scopes though, it's unheard of. Shooting prone on an AR is a strange skill on its own as well. Providing an inch or two of drop would bring the buffer tube to the cheek and allow it to connect better from prone and other weird positions. That said; the only person I've run this by said, "Just get an AK. Rifle is fine." The drop on an AK is one of the few things I prefer on the platform to an AR, so I can't entirely dispute that.
Definitely a gripe I've heard before, maybe not as loudly as other AR-15 platform "issues", however that doesn't mean it's not a valuable consideration point. That said, if I were a betting man (and I tend to be often enough), I would guess that one of the main reasons this hasn't been vigorously pursued by the 2A manufacturer's ... is the juice worth the squeeze? It's very common to see the LOUDEST "issues", shared by the most people, that get the "fix" first. (Greasy wheel gets the grease.) I wouldn't be surprised if I heard that some larger scale manufacturers have considered a solution, but my guess is that it would take some smaller, innovative, 2A company to bring to light new ideas. Personally, for me, I'm "institutionalized" to the check weld on the AR15...so it's not as big of a deal to me, but I can see how it definitely doesn't work for EVERYone. ...
