Yeah can we talk about that please. I think the whole academic system with teaching down is definetly useful on the other hand its stupid. They never learned how to tech. I cant explain fractions to 5 graders, why should a college professor be able to explain idk differential equations to me? I dont go to maths lectures at all anymore, because there is a thing at my uni, where people from higher semesters explain the stuff to me. And they get, why i dont get it, and ever since i did that maths became as easy as it was in school again.
Yeah, My math teacher just used to go to the board and solve on his own. Rather he didnt even solve, he copied solution from the solutions book haha. Sometimes he did solve on his own. But he never taught us. He just praised one of us 3 students.
That 1 Hour reference seemed so much helpful. 30 min practice, 20 min learning + examples and 10 min for definition. I definitely will try this so i can manage my time more efficiently and practice which will make me sharp. within those 30 min. 10-30 ques hmmm a challenge. btw Thanks for the video. I saw your video of 7500 hours maths studying and what you learnt, I subscribed immediately. Thank you
i agree with you i think i have a problem where i tend to learn fast in classes and mostly get the concept but when i get home i am lazy and tend to forget the lecture/tutorial contents......wwhat can i do about being lazy???
You are just drained, not lazy. Try to sleep for some hours or sit in nature for some minutes or try to solve questions outside (i mean, at the terrace, garden where you get enough sunlight) this will increase dopamine and you will be fired up to do something rather than feel lazy@@kahailNixobixogreen
Honestly I'm not a pro, but something that's been helping me quite a lot is just sitting at my desk, setting a timer of a short duration and then I just START. No matter how I'm feeling. And it's so good because you can get so much done in short bursts of focus and then be actually FREE to do other things ( exercise, practice a hobby, etc ) without feeling guilty or stressed. Feeling stressed and not enjoying things that are supposed to be enjoyed because you didn't get done the high priorities is the worst, at least to me😅 @@kahailNixobixogreen
student who are preparing for IIT JEE know how helpful this video is as we all know how hard questions they are for high school(and is you dont know about IIT JEE maths problems you are really missing something as a math nerd)
no math nerd is missing nothing by not knowing what sort of problems you guys deal with. I don't think anybody cares lol we have better challenging questions in all over the world
All math learning is self-study, even if you have an amazing math teacher. You need to feel the math to learn it, and that only happens when you read each page in your textbook, repeat the definitions in your mind, memorize what needs to be memorized, and practice, practice, practice. The same for all technical subjects in engineering and science.
"Just too genius to teach " concerns most university professors from my own experience, and in mathematic I think I'm quiet a little more than in other subjects.
The 1 hour practice is so helpful!! I am taking my SAT in 3 weeks and I have not studied at all. I will do 3 hours a day until then using your advice, and hopefully I will get a good score 🤞🏾

Hey, Ms Han! I'm Shenba from India, in 11th grade currently... I've been following you for almost 3 months. All I wanna let you know is I've improved so much since day 1 ( I came across your video ) and you're awesome ❤ Thank you! ❤
For pure maths, I usually read the same material multiple times, from skimming to know what the math is all about, the general ideas, then again, focusing on definitions, examples and theorems, trying to understand the realm, possibly drawing some pictures, then again focusing on the proofs: skimming to get the main strategy of the proof, the steps needed, and finally getting to understand the details. It's important to check other references/internet to get the right understanding/calculations. After all of that, at a last time and write down everything without looking at the material. For pure mathematicians, the proofs are really important, sometimes even more than the result...there's where the gold is to use to solve real problems.
Hi Han, my 13yr old is struggling with Maths. I’m going to help him study so you have given me a strong framework to use. Hopefully he’ll improve his confidence in Maths! Thank you👍

I was never really bad at math but i was never good too , in 6th grade i got a little less 70% on a maths exam , it broke me indeed it was my birthday we got the test results and i cried . But i tried to improve and scored 71 out of 80 in the final term . The actuall twist came in 7th grade when we got a new maths teacher he used to teach and not just make us blindly copy the answers , and because of his teaching method and a lot of fucus i scored 79 out of 80 in the seventh grade mid term and since then i have had a special love for maths , now i dont take it as a problem i take it as a game now . Another truth is the more you practice a subject the more you love it . At last i would like to thank Mr. Vivek sharma for actually being helpful and a great teacher in the subject of mathematics.
