    Hi Friends!
    This video I selected the components to generate the speaker at random without any prior computation. It didn't sound too bad, but it didn't sound like I expected. Hope you guys enjoy its design rather than its sound. Thank you!

      It still sounds pretty good, and the speakers chosen match the amplifier quite nicely (especially using the crossovers). It would maybe help if the subwoofer wasn't as loud?

      Amplifier is not very good for such things, it has not so good bandwidth for full range speaker box, to improve sound, you need to change amp for more good modification.

    Some thoughts:
    1) This is an extremely nice build. I might build one like it, sans the Makita battery.
    2) If you had a planer, why did you plane the first piece by hand?
    3) I wish my glue joints would magically straighten out between clamping and drying like yours do. :) (j/k I know you adjusted them off-camera)
    4) How did you calculate enclosure volume for the drivers and port?
    5) What's the chrome basket-looking thing you put through on the left of the control panel? IR sensor?
    6) Looks like you hit a screw head with your router bit near the battery recess.
    7) I like that trick with the pooled solder to remove devices from the board. I'm going to use that.

      Hello, I have a question thats is allways bumping into my head when I watch such builds: I dont unterstand how he can use a 100w +50w+ 50w amp when the power needed for the speakers (tweeter and midrange) is higer, in this case 55w. I have also seen cases in which people use 150w amps in 200w builds. I hope you can answer that questin and I asked because you seen to know a lot about this topic.

    • @edjackson4389
      @edjackson4389 2 роки тому

      @@kleiner.spasti Im not entirely sure what you're asking, but I think you are worrying too much about the power ratings. First off midrange and tweeters can play loud and clear with just a couple of watts. The wattage rating on the back of the tweeter is the amount of power it can handle without burning out, not it's required power to operate. Second, anyone who says they built a 200w speaker, but used and amp with a total output of 150w is just lying

    • @kleiner.spasti
      @kleiner.spasti 2 роки тому

      @@edjackson4389 So should I buy an amp with an output power of 200w if the total amount of power the speakers need is 200w or how can I calculate?

    • @edjackson4389
      @edjackson4389 2 роки тому

      @@kleiner.spasti As long as you are looking at the RMS power ratings that should work. Look for an amp with good reviews. That's more useful than power ratings if you're building a small bluetooth box. Very little power is needed to drive small woofers and tweeters

    Is the sub full-range, or actively crossed? Looks like the connection is straight from the amp. Also, you say 3-way crossover but only have two drivers connected. Are you just using bandpass for the midrange and not using the lowpass? What are, and how did you determine, your crossover points and slopes? Sweet build. Thanks for taking the time to share.

    A great masterpiece. Congratulations. How much does it cost the entire project?
    Somewhere below comments, someone has written that poverty keeps doing projects like this, thanks for helping those persons with your mastering and your knowledge. Great respect from Macedonia.

    A masterful woodworking artisan. Lovely eye candy. We wait anticipating equally delightful sound from such a work intensive project. High quality components thru out. But where is the design? It's a ported enclosure like many high end, high efficiency bass reflex speakers of the late 40's hi-fi era up to early 70's. The point of this approach is to couple the woofer's rear output to the front output in phase at the systems' low resonance point lowering system bass response by a quarter octave whilst reducing distortion to only a tenth or less by controlling over excursion of the bass speaker cone. It might be impressive to see a speaker cone flopping violently in and out of control. The technical info is out there. In fact it is usually supplied with the speakers OEM or available from the seller. These builds would sound as good as they look with a bit of audio tunning.

      They're cool and all, but its more worth it to buy a Bluetooth speaker, like a jbl flip 5 or 4. If you want good sound quality jbl is good with Bluetooth speakers, and either of them would be more worth it to buy than build this, although its nice.

      @@userthatcantthinkofagoodna1440 I've actually been looking for a kit for a bluetooth speaker build. There are some but they suck. My next thought was to get a good bluetooth speaker and build a custom box to put the internals in. I've just always been disappointed with the off the shelf bluetooth speakers
