I use carti’s on a regular basis on set. They are a must have and I recommend getting 4 to 6 of them. They rig everything from litemats, astera tubes, regular lights, even routing cable over hung on the spud adapter on ceiling’s. Has not been a day on set I haven’t used them

cardi to gobo to super has been the main rig for me on a set ive been on for a few weeks when rigging titan tubes. solid clamp

Funny enough, I've been thinking about one of these clamps the last couple of days but figured it was really expensive so didn't even look into it. Now I know!

At 2:25 great putting the clamp on the desk, what do you use to save damaging the desk… do you also carry a stash of wooden wedges or slats…?
Good observation. The way he is demonstrating is not how you want to do it when using other people's property. You can put wooden wedges in between or something else. Never use it without protection on something that may not be damaged.

Can't you use a Superclamp for all these things?
Super clamps don’t have the gripping power for some situations. They’re not quite as good gripping flat surfaces either. Both are great to have in the grip bag though!
A gobo head to hold a cardelini to hold a flag… when you could just hold the flag with the gobo head. SMH you owe us a third real tip
I think he was showing that the cardellini could hold a flag. It doesn’t need to be on a gobo head, the flag could go anywhere the cardellini could go.
