To get a true hot wash you have to set it to Hot and keep the lid lock striker out till it’s done filling it will fill with straight hot water, you just can’t do auto sensing with that tho
That is completely normal, you have a dual action agitator. The bottom of the agitator moves both ways, and the top portion that looks like a corkscrew turns one way to help circulate the clothes.
Yes. When using “Normal/Colors” cycle on “precise fill” water level, it adds only the amount of water necessary to saturate the clothes, the smooth blades of the agitator base rubbed the clothes together causing a scrubbing action due to friction. It’s how the machine can be deemed high efficiency, and pass the government water and energy usage regulations. For more water, manually select a water level, or use the “deep fill” option if applicable. IMO this machine works best with “precise fill”
In America we have only 1 rinse by default on top loaders. Sufficient enough unless the machine is a front loader, in which 2 rinses by default is best. I wouldn't buy a front loader that did less than 2 rinses on default. These machines have mechanical dispensers that use centrifugal force to dispense softener, so there is no control.
@@DylBuilder1 Multiple rises are necessary for front loaders but I think at least 2 would be adequate for top loaders, with a spray rinse after each spin, softener dispensed on the final rinse. Shame they didn’t have better dispensers. That would be good.
Nice washer! It did a pretty great job washing the load.
With GE can you get a true hot wash on Normal ? At least it filled to a decent level for that load.

Do you still have your Whirlpool Design 2000 washing machine?
Yes, I do. That said, it is still out of service for the time being.
I have a different model and my agitator turns pause, turn pause....I DON'T think is normal. HELP!

Is it quieter with the lid closed?? Or will I have to use earplugs when I do laundry??
Can you do a normal cycle with deep rinse off?.
Yes, I can!
@@Washing95 Can you do it now?.
Man broke his upload streak 💀
Yes, I did.
Lmao
I noticed neutral draining, then a spin-drain, then finally a full spins speed.
Mine Washer only put about 4 inches of water and started is that normal.

How do you keep the lis open when the washer is washing?
I can’t tell you for safety reasons, but you can probably find the answer on google if you really wanted to.
You simply unscrew the lock and then place the mechanism into the lid lock hole.
@@Washing95 It's ok I told him for safety reasons
What happened to the D2000?
It is currently out of service, as the timer failed. I still have it though!
@@Washing95 Oh I see. Awesome that you still have it!
Fabric softener on the first (only!) rinse? That is so wrong! Lol.

New washer
Yep.
Where the whirlpool go
The squeaky noise is much too loud.
What squeaky noise do you hear?
@@Washing95 The agitator sounds like a donkey having an asthmatic attack.
