I work as a painting and modelling instructor at my local hobby store. I just recently discovered your channel and I have absolutely loved your videos. I've even incorporated some methods you use for explaining the steps you take into my own teaching classes. Really love your videos and look forward to following more of them!
Rye feild is hands down my favorite model kit company with meng as a close second. The detail is always perfect and the selection of kits with interiors is a dream for someone like me, who enjoys building far more than painting.
You have an incredible eye for detail, hands of a surgeon. My wife’s uncle commanded Sherman tanks in Europe under Gen. Patton. He would have been very impressed with your workmanship. Thank you for your build!!! Looking forward to Part 2. Cheers 🍻 Bob
I'm halfway through my build now, superdetailing the interior. I have a second that I will make look factory fresh and probably create a side by side calling it, a different type of casualty of war. I know it sounds different than most would recommend, but I always weather my interiors prior to sealing. The paint is porous and when you wipe off the, "grime," you leave a nicer texture. Then seal it if you want.
All I can say is, Damn!!! You got skillz!!!! That was very impressive!!! As a WW2 history fan I enjoy seeing a good model build. That was spectacular!!! I've never heard of that brand of kit before. It looked like it was very well made. Good detail on the parts, very little flash, and accurate placement of exterior features like hatches, machine gun mounts, lights, etc. Nice.
WOW....Simply WOW, that's one impressive kit and your paint job is incredibly realistic, I got the opportunity to get into and ride on a Sherman a few years ago, and the wear patterns on the floor plate and interior surfaces are spot on, I'm very much looking forward to the second video, Thank you.
Incredibly detailed kit, and amazing skill with assembly and painting. You'd think with that level of detail they would include an aluminum/brass barrel for the main gun.
You can get this kit for around 60 dollars as it is. Some other Similar Sherman kits cost over $120.00 and I'll take the plastic gun to not have go broke getting it.
I did look into getting a metal barrel, but the kit one was nice and straight and it didn't really seem worth it.... I do like a metal barrel though!!!
Fantastic work. I was a driver, gunner and commander of one of these things back in 1950 or so. I've just gotten into tank modeling and will grab one of these kits. Thanks for the memories.. Keep up the good work.
Haven’t done something this good for a Long time. I started out at 14 yrs old when I caught a dose of a life changing injury playing ugly. I’m 54 now and discovered my toy box with all the garbage inside but, gladly found that most of my humbrel enamel and other hinges still workable. Just done a harrier 1/12. Man I wished I’d have practiced a bit before going into the biggie. Now doing a couple of diaramers with kits I found. Great post. Cheers buddy.
Sir,after years of building kits ,i am for 32 years now ,a professional architecture model maker . You made me dreamin' with your vid. That's what i call a serious talent there.Kudos to you!
The interior has a Star Wars vibe too it. Looks great and I am envious of anyone who works with such small scale kits. i can barely work on 1/10 RC projects these days.
I agree with you. Also, as a Star Wars modeler, I can't say I'm not tempted to get two copies of this kit: one to build as a Sherman, and one to use for greebling a Star Wars vessel.
Remembering the first tank model I built in the 60s (yes I'm that old) the kits of today continue to astonish me in their quality and level of detail. Nice work 👍
I remember building a 1/76 scale king tiger tank that has interior detailing. From the driver seat and steering to the engine in back. Turret showed the gun , spare rounds. I think the company was Fujimi or close to that.
Really enjoyed this kit personally. Found it very detailed and well engineered. It's hard to mess up and will leave you with something special. Even the exterior leaves little to be desired on its own. Tracks were a long haul but they look far superior to anything vinyl.
This video has been in my 'Watch Later' list for way too long, yes I now realise how foolish I can be. Excellent workmanship! This kit is definitely on my to to list, thank you!
Those tracks! Some modellers might look at them and say 'Think I'll do a spitfire instead' but with some patience they can make a real difference to the appearance of a model. Great stuff 👏
This kit is absolutely mad. Well done for A) doing such a good job so far, and B) retaining your marbles. A kit like this would have been the end of me.
Wow ... First off! ... The box art & general design is awesome. And looks like a great kit to build. I have an 80’s to mid 90’s Tamiya Lee I inherited from my dad along with half his Phantoms and others, that I’m itching to build in his honor. But I’m gonna have to put this one on my future build list.
Go for a Tamiya offering. Something much simpler than this. Their Panzer III/Stug III series would be perfect for a beginner. Don't try something this intense your first time out.
The most extensive tank interior i've ever seen. The tracks assembly looked tedious but i'm sure the results are gonna be worth it! :) staying tuned in
Your skill is apparent and is entertaining to watch even tho I don’t model anymore. Just didn’t have it, the skill that is, even on a 10 piece V2 rocket. I mean how do you fk that up? I am still amazed that the kit makers can provide relentless detail and high quality molds etc. for under $200.
This is a excellent build 👍👍👍, and I have been looking at this model just recently, and now I'm considering getting a kit for a future build hopefully....
the quality of this channel skyrocketed only in a few short months. hope to see you blow up in the next following months with your amazing modeling skills.
Looks like an amazing kit. I used to enjoy building World War 2 armor, but in the last 10 years my eyesight has gotten so bad, that I can't see to work with such small parts.
Awesome build!! But what would add even more reality to it...I think AK Interactive sells boots. One rubberised and one of hard plastic. You could've added those prints to the tank too. You have them in German and American boots.
We're currently working on RFM M4A3E8, but the problem is that the boundary of the parts is very difficult. In the case of nickname parts, they look like tiny pieces, so I read the manual several times and attach them. I'm an office worker, so I'm touching the inside of the car body for a while after work. By the way, I'm going to paint.
Brilliant kit(almost as good as their Panther 5019)and upgrade set not as complex as usual A/M.The dipstick for oil is the perfect touch, and the tracks are a breeze,if a long one.Want to build it again now.
A truly beautiful job Andy! The interior, and indeed the entire model, are outstanding! I would love to be to build an full interior armour model, but I fear it is beyond my skill level. Same with PE parts I’m afraid. At nearly 70 years of age, my shaky hands and weakening eyesight give me enough trouble with simpler builds. I am looking forward to part 2 of this build. I have subscribed to your channel and hope to see a lot more of your work in the future. Cheers from Australia!
Adam Mann had a review, I think, on vision assistance! There's a few new things to assist with shaky hands too. One's called an "octopus", but you'd be challenging my memory now!
Awesome video mate. Im building this model currently and have watched over these about 30 times, and i just realised who your voice reminds me of.. Noel Fielding
Over the years you dont have to watch countless vlogs on modelling glue, fillers, primers and paint in both forms, you can glean more info from the comments than you can from some wannabe. In your case you are and give such detailed advice and clues as to what to do,many pale into insignifance. Top Lad,you cant take away quality even when your not at your best. Thank you, honesty in business is rare as rocking horse shit these days, sound as a pound mucker
Terrific build. I have the model, and after watching you build it thru Part 1, I may get up enough courage=ge to start. I have built a set of tracks before so that part, except for the boring repetition, is not intimidating. Thanks for the very informative video. I look forward to the next part.
About those weathering effects: I think those tanks were brand new when they were deployed and should be immaculate condition as long as they survived.
Awesome presentation. I’m just starting my path to 1/12 F1 metal car. Not quite there yet. So much detail you go to. Well done and a thumbs up, subscribed member nd fan. 🤓🤓🤓
Unbelievable. When I saw you drill the 30 cal barrel freehand, I knew this was going to be a wild ride. Excellent, outstanding. Thanks
I have to use jigs made of rolled up paper and a manually operated pin vise. That freehand feat was amazing.
@@dbcooper2756 great tip. Thanks

Hats off to the designers of this kit. Great job and so much patience with building of the tracks

Not saying your lying but just sounds a bit fishy
What a enthusiastic video! Very impressive skill of assembling and painting. Pure joy for our eyes! Thank you for sharing🙂

This is my first time to see this amazing 1/35 Sherman

Great job , I was a Leopard 1 driver in 1973 , 43Tbt Aesk of the Dutch army, and our tank was clean as posible in the inside and outside .
Really enjoyed this kit personally. Found it very detailed and well engineered. It's hard to mess up and will leave you with something special. Even the exterior leaves little to be desired on its own. Tracks were a long haul but they look far superior to anything vinyl.
Wow! I've just started getting into armour modelling as a change from aircraft. This is the standard to which I aspire! Great stuff.
Very cool - I enjoyed watching this. Best part for me was making the tracks. Modeling has come a long way since the 70-80's when I was active.
Was?
This video has been in my 'Watch Later' list for way too long, yes I now realise how foolish I can be.
Excellent workmanship!
This kit is definitely on my to to list, thank you!
Built 2 of these already has to be the best full interior out by far!
The photoetch on this kit really makes a nice difference ❤
Pluss the music was nice treat sounds expiring.
It looks as if those tracks would have been a beast to build awesome job my friend.... and now I'm jumping to video two to watch the completion !
It's fun to watch a Master Model Builder assemble a kit
Thoroughly enjoyed this, thank you.

This kit is absolutely mad. Well done for A) doing such a good job so far, and B) retaining your marbles. A kit like this would have been the end of me.
Great work. Last thing I'd ever want to do is put together those tracks one tread at a time.
done that, took me like 30 min or 1 hour
Would be cool to do turn into the Sherman tank from fury
Mate you just go to town on the detailing and that's what make a great model amazing work!
the dirt on the floor turned out amazing, you should add some shoeprints with a scale model soldier! :D
Very nice, can't wait to see the completed kit.
Great work. Sure hands and keen eyes. Looking forward to the finished kit.
I have never seen anybody do an exploded view with a tank model befor. Way cool
my god man !!!! what a stunning piece of art and it is art !!! unbelievable !!
First time seeing someone build an interior for a model like that, amazing work.
Masterful! So much attention to detail the painting was the best.
Great video Dan, I am going to build a cut-out version of this one, you gave me some great ideas and inspiration for detailing!
Wow ... First off! ... The box art & general design is awesome. And looks like a great kit to build. Your detailing is excellent !
Every time I think I'm ready for a tank model, I see a vid like this and go, Nope...not yet.
Go for a Tamiya offering. Something much simpler than this. Their Panzer III/Stug III series would be perfect for a beginner. Don't try something this intense your first time out.

Wow the rear bulkhead detail is amazing.
Hoping to get this for xmas ...looking forward to starting it ....youre video is an insperation.thank you you are amazing
Absolutely first class modelling Andy really looking forward to part 2 👍
fantastic job of weathering and blending the colors - keep the great work
That is a nice kit . Nice paint work and weathering too .
Thanks for the video, my dad was a Sherman tank commander for the US Army 😊
Hi just found your channel great video my friend the interior is beautifully painted and weathered thanks for sharing 👍👍

This is a excellent build 👍👍👍, and I have been looking at this model just recently, and now I'm considering getting a kit for a future build hopefully....
I like the fact it has that big ol gasser Ford V-8!! Be a cool opportunity to make some expansion options for this kit with the other engine options!
I truly love these kinds of videos
This was interesting to watch. Too damn cool. I wouldn't have the patience for all of that lol.

Beautiful work, I have enjoyed your build
Excellent video & job building your RFM Sherman M4A3 76W tank model too!!
You make this look easy, when it really isn't. Well done...another exceptional modeller 👍👌🙂
Looks like an amazing kit. I used to enjoy building World War 2 armor, but in the last 10 years my eyesight has gotten so bad, that I can't see to work with such small parts.
Beautiful work. Your skill in dealing with photo etch parts is amazing.
Lovely build. You sir are most expert.
The only thing that puts me off from doing tanks was the tracks..but after watching this i'm starting to consider doing a tank.
Looks great, now forward to the next video.
Was building ww2 aircrafts for like 4 years, but now I'm interested in tanks - waiting for next part!
I think uncle Nightshift would be very impressed with your work

Absolutely stunning interior detail. 👍
Very nice kit and fine assembling. Thank you for this video. :) (from South Korea.)
