- We finish our new home orchard by planting apple and plum trees and setting up the electric fencing for moose protection. We build a gate and arbor, and complete this project with a birdhouse to remember our cat Hunter.

Love the new orchard. Losing pets is definitely a hard part of life but you never want them to suffer an now he can watch over the orchard and see all the birds that come and visit. RIP Hunter

Nature's cruelest joke. Giving such sweet and beautiful souls such a short amount of time. They are small, but have the biggest effect on our lives. He's resting in one of the most beautiful places in the world. I can't think of a better place for him to wait for you. They always do .❤️❤️❤️

so thankful you kept your animals, so many move and leave them behind. I love your birdhouse and will think of Hunter everytime i see that in episodes. So hard to loose a family member but love his stone and birdhouse. Enjoy being a part of your lives.

Me too. My last guy died at 20. 11 seems so young. I'd be devastated.
So sorry for your loss, he was a great cat. Your bond with him was unique, I would watch in amazement as you would talk and move around on camera while he slept in your arms. He will be missed by many.

At some point down the line you need to put a bench in your orchard. When the trees grow up a bit and you have your flowers in it'll be a lovely place to sit and feel close to your beloved kitty.

Love the design of the arbor over the gate. The bird feeder is also a cool rustic design. You two are artists on top of everything else you do. Hunter would be/is, I'm sure, very pleased. Sorry for your loss.
I’m so sorry for your loss. I lost my 14yr. Old pup last January. Their unconditional love for us two legged creatures is amazing. I opened my heart to love a new pup, and she’s amazing too. The orchard looks great.

I think it's awesome you are making your way in the bush, with your pets. It CAN be done if you want to do it. You have a small space yet you make room for them. That tells me all I need to know about you as lovers of animals. Thank you for sharing your lives with all of us. I so enjoy learning from you, about gardening and your chickens! I have wanted to have them but was afraid of losing them to the bitter cold here where we live and wasn't sure how to go about doing it. You have shown me...it CAN be done!!
