Hypothyroidism is not a big deal if he take his medicine aka the hormone that he is lacking for some reason , so it's up to the cause that can make it a more serious deal cuz when is autoimmune cause can came with other autoimmune illnesses but as you see he can do all what he was doing, I don't think he has other issue. But who knows. But with according with the lack of information that is public , he should be ok to be part of the military , ofc with his medicine and proper diet.
In regards to the military service... if they cannot be exempt entirely, then they should negotiate the amount of time down to like 6 months. They all enlist at the same time, go thru basic training so they're trained in at least that... and then they're back to serving their country in the way they are best at in no time at all, rather then taking them off the playing field for two years at such a critical point of their influence on the global stage. This way it eases the minds of those who think they shouldn't be exempt (at least in part) and minimizes the damage of them being gone.

The power dynamics of this HYBE AND ITHACA deal is crazy. A Korean company that was struggling just a few years ago buying an American company managing one of the most popular pop starts in the world and a looot of country artists....it's crazy. And the fact that this was mainly due to the rise of BTS makes it even more amazing.
I remember an interview in which the boys were asked which musical genre they would like to try next and a couple of them (I remember SUGA) said they wanted to try country. I wonder if this merge was already cooking.

I think it's amazing that HYBE (The house that Bang PD and BTS built) has really shaken up the music industry in both Korea & the West even though the western media downplays it. For years the western music industry has been ignoring BTS calling them a "phenomenon" (which implies a fad with no lasting power). BTS didn't just create a seat for themselves at the table in Western music, they bought part of the "table". In an article written by Lainey Gossip, The key to understanding this deal is to recognize that HYBE isn't getting into the western market by playing the western game. They made it clear on that they are bring HYBE's playbook to the west. The model of artist investment and development that BTS and HYBE perfected is the way of the future and Ithaca's sale TO HYBE is a sign of that (It's not the other way around). The rollout is already showing evidence of this with the 10 minute video released today which Chairman Bang, SB and Scott B made remarks, then artist like BTS, Seventeen, J Balvin, Demi Lovato & Justin Bieber makes appearances. Korean artists are use to greeting messages videos but western artists rarely do. HYBE practice of sharing corporate information to the public via video messages is also rare in business! Interesting that in Korea the civil service has such a bad stigma, since in my country it’s the exact opposite. The military service for males is mandatory as well, but you can choose between regular duty and civil service regardless of if you get classified as unfit or not - in fact, it is acutally _wanted_ that many people choose civil service, since we need those workers to cover the lack of staff in elderly care and other care related jobs. But we are also a neutal country that doesn't have a certain dictatorship in our neck...
It was the same for germany years ago, and it was just 9 months .. but now it’s not mandatory anymore. You can choose if you want to go to the military or not.
After learning about Baekhyun's news the other day, this made me have a new perspective about just how great of a performer he is and the level of work ethic he must have because I also personally have hypothyroidism. The thyroid is the gland that regulates your metabolism, so when you have hypothyroidism you may typically suffer from symptoms like feeling tired both physically and mentally, gain weight uncontrollably, experience feeling tingly or numb, and have problems with your skin and nails. The symptoms vary from person to person and people can get the condition under control so they can then feel well and do more things. Usually once you are diagnosed, you take a hormone replacement pill every day. Of course, I don't know how Baekhyun has personally felt with this condition, but hope that if people learn a little bit about this condition, then they might be a little more sympathetic.
I agree it is such a risky move for BigHit but it is the right time for a long-haul move. I think that this will bring more exposure for the Korean Artist and the Western artist will get more innovation.

The company definitely has to show they are a good investment without BTS as performers and main artist. Plus I am assuming here that BTS are making money from this merger. This is why they say to NEVER trust your family with your money. Family is the worst when it comes to paying back the money after letting them borrow. I learned the hard way because you would think you can trust your closest sibling but then they start slacking or make up excuses.
I was actually really worried about Baekhyun's health as a fan for almost 10 years. I never would've guessed he had hypothyroidism, if he was graded 4 his health mustn't be the best. Lets remember idols don't get time to take care of rest, specially in SM. There's videos in concerts far back of him almost collapsing. I know he will take service seriously and i will patiently wait and hope for the best.
He is still doing his military duty in a manner approved by the military. everyone needs to just chill and stop worrying about insignificant things and worry about their own damn lives and apparent lack of humanity and morality
@@sunny-nq3yi I think when the company was still early and BTS was the only group under BigHit they struggled with finances and getting BTS to be as big as they are now because they didn't have any incomes to commercially expose BTS I think what started their massive boost in popularity was their 2016 Wings era but they did start gradually gaining a domestic fanbase sometime before. I would like to be corrected on this please, I'm a fan of BTS but I don't follow them that deeply and I don't know their story very well but I do know that it was extremely hard for them to be seen positively by the Korean public, they were like a laughing stock because of what they didn't have Sorry about the huge paragraph
@@billage_cafe why they were going bankrupt one of the reasons might be because one of their failures with their girl grp named glam .one member being saesang of super junior and one member actually blackmailed one famous actor so the actor sued her and which was resulted in not having investors and bad reputation of company they were already quite new company but this situation literally made their company go on the verge of bankruptcy.. in short this was quite a big issue, so props to bang pd that he didn't lose hope and this is also one of reason they only had boy grp till now
i'm actually worried about Baekhyun doing service work for the next 1 1/2 years. i believe it would be better (safer) for him to do 'normal' service. if i remember correctly Yang Yoseob of Highlight did also serve as a service worker and was harrassed by fans at work to a point were he had to beg them to stop. they found out about his work places shared them online and showed up taking photos and hindering his and his collegues work. Baekhyun will experience this as well.
There is also the BIG MACHINE LABEL GROUP under the ITHACA company and it mostly has country music artists. Tim McGraw, Lady A and Sheryl Crow are under BMLG.

I'm White! Here's some truth for you. I personally think it's to break in to the American market. We have seen that BTS can have all the sales streams, talent, etc. It just isn't enough when you are Korean in a White Business World. America could hold them off as a Novelty Act as long as Big Hit didn't get a foothold in the American Market somewhere. BOOM, Foothold in Ithaca! BOOM, Foothold in Warner Brothers. It's going to be harder and harder to hold them off now that they have 2 respected companies doing business with them. Asian Representation will be in full bloom in the next 2 to 5 years. You both should get your resume's ready. I think we are going to see some great changes!

Okay y’all hear me out. Hypothyroidism and Hyperthyroidism are both different thyroid related disorders that entail different symptoms Baekhyun has the former. Keep in mind that BBH is a huge asset to EXO and SM and the Kpop industry as a whole . His health will naturally be their priority. Just because Baekhyun has the will power to keep on performing despite of his physical health doesn’t mean he’s obligated to diminish his physical well-being in every situation. He’s never vied for anyone’s sympathy at any point. If people are frustrated then there must be other cases towards which their feelings are valid, but Beakhyun doesn’t deserve to be the subject of their frustration.

N.K has a large manpower than S.K especially that they trained their female and male citizens while in S.K its only the men. Anyone that pays any attention would know that there have been a lot of hints about Baekhyun’s health. SuperM members especially have let hints out. They have talked about the swelling of his face and ears, and they have said that he doesn’t sleep well. Baekhyun himself has talked about how he gets tired easily and how he gets cold easily. And both EXO members and SuperM members have said that when he is done practicing he is done, you can’t do that in the military. Baekhyun is also very aware of what is said about him and he wouldn’t go out of his way to do something that he Knows is going to get him negative press. At least IMO. I don’t personally know him so I can only go by what I have seen. I prefer NOT to suspect the worst of people though with no evidence.
@@Taeallday802 No, not really most idols you hear about how much they practice, not that they have developed the ability to be able to learn choreography for a dance in one session just by watching it being done and then practicing as long as he can till he feels he can’t go on longer. I have also never heard Any other idol tell his fans to not buy the album to buy a warm coat instead, that is how much cold bothers him. The reason he has been exempted though is because he has to take medication everyday for his condition, not just at flare ups. The plain fact is we don’t know what their real lives are like and fans of other groups should think about that before they start hating on other groups. This is why the fan wars go on.

@@mev9752 I’m on leave from work for a month due to an autoimmune disease so I wouldn’t say it isn’t a big deal. If he really does have one, I can tell you there are ups and downs to it. You feel okay then you feel like hot garbage.
@@mev9752 It is more the fact that he has a condition that requires daily medication than how much it affects him. You have to remember that soldiers are trained to be out in the field and be on battle grounds so if you have medication you need to take to treat a condition that will be seen as a liability in those situations by itself not even taking in to account the symptoms of the condition. So it makes sense he would not be allowed for active duty, as his condition may mean daily medication as well as regular blood tests throughout the year to make sure he is getting the correct dosage as that can change.

i think there are other idols just like GD who is more popular and richer than baekhyun. and I also think he tried his best to be exempted or not have an active military duty but in the end he still went to the field. so i believe baekhyun's health is really valid to be a public servant rather than being in the field most importantly is that he will serve the nation whatever he can. and i think it is the nation or the officials fault if they are swayed with money from those chaebols. well i hope that Korea's higher up will see this so that they will be aware of these situation and will not be unfair to those others who also deserved to be exempted from the active duty.
What’s happening to Park Soohong happened to my family as well. When my great-grandmother died we were told that she had left no money behind(died while in the red). So we would receive no money. Well as it turns out, my uncle had totally emptied her account with the help of my grandma. Our great-grandmother had Alzheimer’s so they went to a bank a couple cities away every week to make her get the money (this way it would actually look like she was doing it). Now my mother and her other brother have been living on so little money, just trying to stay alive. While my uncle and grandma are living it big in Spain. We’ve sued them when it came out, but it’s been years already and nothing is moving forward, I hope that the money will be more than the lawyer’s costs.. Also grandma, uncle if you’re reading this, f-you.
That's so sad about Park Soo Hong but it just goes to show how important financial literacy is. Even if it's a close friend or family member who's looking over your finances, you should make sure they're professionals and still always keep track of your OWN finances yourself.
Well it’s not that far of really. Something could have been brewing as far back then. Maybe nothing as major as it is now, but maybe the bosses were already friendly with each other and talking here and there... for all we know there may have already been private introductions of artist which is why they themselves were already curious and friendly about each other in these small interactions that they shared with the public... who knows 🤷♀️

i dont know about tae though. he admitted to having cholinergic urticaria which basically makes him unable to stand a lot in higher temperatures or do heavy exercise as red bumps break out of his skin which itch and also cause nausea, vomiting and stomach ache.

A Korean company that was struggling just a few years ago buying an American company managing one of the most popular pop starts in the world and a looot of country artists....it's crazy. And the fact that this was mainly due to the rise of BTS makes it even more amazing.
I remember an interview in which the boys were asked which musical genre they would like to try next and a couple of them (I remember SUGA) said they wanted to try country. I wonder if this merge was already cooking.

I think it's amazing that HYBE (The house that Bang PD and BTS built) has really shaken up the music industry in both Korea & the West even though the western media downplays it. For years the western music industry has been ignoring BTS calling them a "phenomenon" (which implies a fad with no lasting power). BTS didn't just create a seat for themselves at the table in Western music, they bought part of the "table". In an article written by Lainey Gossip, The key to understanding this deal is to recognize that HYBE isn't getting into the western market by playing the western game. They made it clear on that they are bring HYBE's playbook to the west. The model of artist investment and development that BTS and HYBE perfected is the way of the future and Ithaca's sale TO HYBE is a sign of that (It's not the other way around). The rollout is already showing evidence of this with the 10 minute video released today which Chairman Bang, SB and Scott B made remarks, then artist like BTS, Seventeen, J Balvin, Demi Lovato & Justin Bieber makes appearances. Korean artists are use to greeting messages videos but western artists rarely do. HYBE practice of sharing corporate information to the public via video messages is also rare in business!
Will it all work? Maybe, maybe some of it, but watching the growth and journey of BTS, HYBE (Big Hit) has never been boring and is an adventure worth following!

Interesting that in Korea the civil service has such a bad stigma, since in my country it’s the exact opposite. The military service for males is mandatory as well, but you can choose between regular duty and civil service regardless of if you get classified as unfit or not - in fact, it is acutally _wanted_ that many people choose civil service, since we need those workers to cover the lack of staff in elderly care and other care related jobs. But we are also a neutal country that doesn't have a certain dictatorship in our neck...

After learning about Baekhyun's news the other day, this made me have a new perspective about just how great of a performer he is and the level of work ethic he must have because I also personally have hypothyroidism. The thyroid is the gland that regulates your metabolism, so when you have hypothyroidism you may typically suffer from symptoms like feeling tired both physically and mentally, gain weight uncontrollably, experience feeling tingly or numb, and have problems with your skin and nails. The symptoms vary from person to person and people can get the condition under control so they can then feel well and do more things. Usually once you are diagnosed, you take a hormone replacement pill every day. Of course, I don't know how Baekhyun has personally felt with this condition, but hope that if people learn a little bit about this condition, then they might be a little more sympathetic.
I agree it is such a risky move for BigHit but it is the right time for a long-haul move. I think that this will bring more exposure for the Korean Artist and the Western artist will get more innovation.

I was actually really worried about Baekhyun's health as a fan for almost 10 years. I never would've guessed he had hypothyroidism, if he was graded 4 his health mustn't be the best. Lets remember idols don't get time to take care of rest, specially in SM. There's videos in concerts far back of him almost collapsing. I know he will take service seriously and i will patiently wait and hope for the best.

I think what started their massive boost in popularity was their 2016 Wings era but they did start gradually gaining a domestic fanbase sometime before. I would like to be corrected on this please, I'm a fan of BTS but I don't follow them that deeply and I don't know their story very well but I do know that it was extremely hard for them to be seen positively by the Korean public, they were like a laughing stock because of what they didn't have

@@billage_cafe why they were going bankrupt one of the reasons might be because one of their failures with their girl grp named glam .one member being saesang of super junior and one member actually blackmailed one famous actor so the actor sued her and which was resulted in not having investors and bad reputation of company they were already quite new company but this situation literally made their company go on the verge of bankruptcy.. in short this was quite a big issue, so props to bang pd that he didn't lose hope and this is also one of reason they only had boy grp till now

i'm actually worried about Baekhyun doing service work for the next 1 1/2 years. i believe it would be better (safer) for him to do 'normal' service. if i remember correctly Yang Yoseob of Highlight did also serve as a service worker and was harrassed by fans at work to a point were he had to beg them to stop. they found out about his work places shared them online and showed up taking photos and hindering his and his collegues work.
Baekhyun will experience this as well.

I'm White! Here's some truth for you. I personally think it's to break in to the American market. We have seen that BTS can have all the sales streams, talent, etc. It just isn't enough when you are Korean in a White Business World. America could hold them off as a Novelty Act as long as Big Hit didn't get a foothold in the American Market somewhere. BOOM, Foothold in Ithaca! BOOM, Foothold in Warner Brothers. It's going to be harder and harder to hold them off now that they have 2 respected companies doing business with them. Asian Representation will be in full bloom in the next 2 to 5 years. You both should get your resume's ready. I think we are going to see some great changes!

Keep in mind that BBH is a huge asset to EXO and SM and the Kpop industry as a whole . His health will naturally be their priority.
Just because Baekhyun has the will power to keep on performing despite of his physical health doesn’t mean he’s obligated to diminish his physical well-being in every situation. He’s never vied for anyone’s sympathy at any point.
If people are frustrated then there must be other cases towards which their feelings are valid, but Beakhyun doesn’t deserve to be the subject of their frustration.

Anyone that pays any attention would know that there have been a lot of hints about Baekhyun’s health. SuperM members especially have let hints out. They have talked about the swelling of his face and ears, and they have said that he doesn’t sleep well. Baekhyun himself has talked about how he gets tired easily and how he gets cold easily. And both EXO members and SuperM members have said that when he is done practicing he is done, you can’t do that in the military. Baekhyun is also very aware of what is said about him and he wouldn’t go out of his way to do something that he Knows is going to get him negative press. At least IMO. I don’t personally know him so I can only go by what I have seen. I prefer NOT to suspect the worst of people though with no evidence.

The reason he has been exempted though is because he has to take medication everyday for his condition, not just at flare ups. You have to remember that soldiers are trained to be out in the field and be on battle grounds so if you have medication you need to take to treat a condition that will be seen as a liability in those situations by itself not even taking in to account the symptoms of the condition. So it makes sense he would not be allowed for active duty, as his condition may mean daily medication as well as regular blood tests throughout the year to make sure he is getting the correct dosage as that can change.

What’s happening to Park Soohong happened to my family as well. When my great-grandmother died we were told that she had left no money behind(died while in the red). So we would receive no money. Well as it turns out, my uncle had totally emptied her account with the help of my grandma. Our great-grandmother had Alzheimer’s so they went to a bank a couple cities away every week to make her get the money (this way it would actually look like she was doing it). Now my mother and her other brother have been living on so little money, just trying to stay alive. While my uncle and grandma are living it big in Spain.
We’ve sued them when it came out, but it’s been years already and nothing is moving forward, I hope that the money will be more than the lawyer’s costs..

Well it’s not that far of really. Something could have been brewing as far back then. Maybe nothing as major as it is now, but maybe the bosses were already friendly with each other and talking here and there... for all we know there may have already been private introductions of artist which is why they themselves were already curious and friendly about each other in these small interactions that they shared with the public... who knows 🤷♀️

Didn't one of the press releases say that Suga's shoulder surgery was in preparation for military enlistment? Makes it sound like he'll be going active? I often feel idols have put their bodies thru so much at a young age, it's no wonder they are falling apart by enlistment age.
i dont know about tae though. he admitted to having cholinergic urticaria which basically makes him unable to stand a lot in higher temperatures or do heavy exercise as red bumps break out of his skin which itch and also cause nausea, vomiting and stomach ache.
