Hey thanks for listening to the feedback about DIM. Makes me as a viewer feel appreciated and heard. I’m not super tech savvy but I love destiny and DIM so this will help make my experience that much better! Thanks Aegis!
Recently been trying to get better at the game and honing in on small stuff like loadouts and stats… and you’re the UA-camr that’s been pushing me through it. You’re gonna blow up in final shape!
The hashtags in notes work on individual items as well as loadouts. For example, if you're the kind of person that likes to mix up your weapon loadouts a lot in pvp, you can tag certain weapons with #pvp in the notes, then quickly filter for them on the fly.
Using the icons such as :solar: and :gilded: leads to very visually appealing notes and stuff. If you use them with the # filters on load outs it looks super neat.
I would really appreciate a video of you explaining the more advanced features in DIM. I absolutely loved this video, short and sweet. I also wanna know if DIM or any other 3rd party application has the ability to help me with my armour optimization. I specifically want my titan to get to double 100 stats without any exotic gear or minimal stat mods required. I want it to recommend me the best possible armour and stats for each armour piece instead of like DIM or D2armorpicker where they just show the best armour that I have available. Sorry if this second part is so long and specific, I was playing my titan yesterday and I hated how unoptimized and wasteful my stats actually were
A series of how to use 3rd party sites for endgame stuff would be cool. I know most people already know the basics, but even in this vid I learned stuff I didn't know; and DIM is the site I use the most, since D1 iirc
D2 armor picker even though you said you don’t want it, gives you in my opinion, a pretty good idea at where you can improve a build. Typically when I make one, I find that something is lower stat than the rest by a good margin and whatnot.
to get perfect armor you need 68 rolls on legendary and 71 on exotic both with 2 in 2 stats. So, if you are farming for perfect armor, just delete anything that isn't that. They are rare enough that you will not have too many to sort through after a farming session, 4-5 per hundred.
One thing I always have for my organized brain is a reset loadout on each character that is just a set of three weapons with move other items away to reset my characters and put everything in the vault. Made a video about it a LONG time ago. Still use it today as well as others.
You hear this all the time surely but the contributions you provide to this community are absolutely beyond words. As a relatively new player, coming up on 6 months deep, your content has made me so much more unbelievably comfortable trying to get into this game, even back to when I did my first raid! My friend and I are now trying to get into speedrunning and low-mans, and to that end you've been more invaluable to my experience with this game than any other creator, as much as I love a lot of them. Godspeed, Aegis, and so much love from a random Guardian 🫡
You can also set searches as favorite with the star at the right side of the search field. Also DIM has a very good Stat optimizer too. No need to use d2armorpicker. In addition the DIM optimizer gives better stats because it is calculated on parameters e.g. I want 5-10 res, 5-10 rec, ... and so on. D2armorpicker is based on the user setting specific values which can result in overall lower stats e.g. I want 10 res. The d2armorpicker method might exclude options that can have higher overall stats
Something I think could be really interesting is an “Unbeatable speedruns” video. Talking about any speedruns that use glitches/techs/oobs that have since been patched. If that’s at all applicable to Destiny
my one grudge against DiM is that on the phone essentially its just a web browser and back when i had a crappy phone it would run out of memory before even getting in and just stuck itself on the loading screen with no workaround or solution
Co.pare is a GODLY armor tool You know how much high stqt armor i had that was barely different, i.e., this has 20mob and 15 dis, and this has 19mob and 17 dis But the 20mob is MW, and the 19 is 1 energy, easy vault cleaning for people like me with 10-20 of any armor type for loudout building.
feel like you missed out on a big tool of dim with loadout optimization. I know you mentioned 3rd party tool instead like D2armor picker but i have never understood why people prefer that over the already built in feature in dim, as every time i have tested it recommends the same items to use, and when already in dim it skips a few steps. Also i personally feel the one in dim is alot easier to use and more user friendly. Any specific reason why using D2 armorpicker over dim itself? the armor optimizer in dim has gotten very good now.
Mentioned unlocking final column in artifact as reason to bounty prep But do we know Bungies not gonna pull a fast one? What if week 1 doesn't have same artifact setup? I'm prepping anyway but I'm just saying maybe the artifact won't be the same, spitballin here They mentioned episodes will release more artifact mods in a sequence weekly
I still love how in destiny 1 people lost their shit that we couldn’t access the memoir cards in game and they didn’t even effect gameplay and now we have countless tools online and honestly most of these features should just be in the base game by now but hey bungie will be bungie
When you do KF speedruns for example, do you rewrite all your in game loadouts manually or do you equip them through DIM and then overwrite? My pet peeve at the moment is having to rewrite constantly depending on the activity...
yeah, this really sucks. I hate that there are only ten slots in a game where there are so so many possible loadouts. really sucks when i want to equip one and i either have to do it manually or go to orbit. i wish we could equip them in activities from DIM. I also wish that you could save the in game ones with an optino to not save the weapons, cause its so annoying that i have to save the loadout with some trash weapons from collections that i then dismantle every time i want to change a loadout.
Very nice video!. hey when making a build or loadout... The stats don't matter as much as fragments aspects right? like 100 res and 100 dis or as high dis as i can is good?
@@TheAegisRelic yea no worries, you guys should work on a speedrun wish list. I want to get into speedrunning but dont even know where to begin. Im most comfy on titan but feel they lack a bit compared to warlock and hunters bc of limited movement tech.
I was wondering with the grenade launcher changes does the roll for the wilderflight change? I have an Implosion rounds with hardlaunch auto loading vorpal and blast radius masterwork, I kept it since it also has quick launch and disorienting grenades. If I were to get a non blast radius masterwork would my roll with implosion be better than spike? I know for the mountaintop you want implosion and hardlaunch for higher damage I'm just curious if that carries over to the other breach gls.
Just curious, do you feel there’s any actual benefit to using D2ArmorPicker over the DIM loadout optimizer? Recently I haven’t found any feature in armor picker that I can’t just do directly in DIM.
I would kill to be able to tag perks and weapon names and perhaps add my own quick tags. I'm incredibly picky about how my weapons feel and it would be amazing to be able to look at DIM once I get a new weapon and instantly see if I've already tagged it as a type I like or dislike. Same with perks. There's just so many weapons and perks in the game that I can't feasibly remember which ones I enjoy. I started making a little spreadsheet so I could know, but its just so cumbersome to use that I quit :/
My recommendation, dont use tags. Use notes on items eg: casual, speedrun, pve, pvp These key words work great as theyre quick to type and quicker to searxy for..and higjhligjts all the items of that note. Highly recommend for those that want to only find their best weapons through the trash they keep
I'm unable to produce a saved query like the the one shown at 7:02 when entering a comment then pasting in the query. Does the query need to be typed in character by character instead? Or maybe there's a character limit?
Unrelated question, but how do endgame players not get hit? I'm getting hit constantly. Not talking about damage or builds. Just being hit by bullets. I can decrease the amount of damage I take however much I want, but I'm still getting hit way too much for me to survive even with builds with high survivability.
Healing with fragments, perks and exotics. Also, knowing shooting and attack patterns for enemies, as well as their ranges. Cover is obviously necessary, as well as having higher ground can massively help For example, minotaurs will aggro you for a melee and stop shooting if you get within a certain distance. Use this to get them to stop shooting and kill them whilst they approach; this is especially useful in GMs where they can almost 1 shot you. You can also use this small window to escape and run away Another example is knowing the pace of Hobgoblin sniper shots. They will predict where you go and fire at predictable intervals. So to duel them just walk in a straight line and change direction right before they shoot, it makes them miss 100% of the time even in higher difficulties if done right Colossus barrages can be dodged easily by running perpendicular to them and jumping at the right time. Bait a taken Phalanx into a shield shot and flank them while they charge it up
Hats off to the developers of DIM. This video showcases what an incredible job they have done.
Thanks Aegis.

wasn't expecting to learn this much at 2AM while packing for a trip
It’s been almost 10 years of this game and you are the first person that made an actual video about this app
yea bc it isnt hard to use
Bro, you’re one of the most articulate and well spoken guys I’ve came across in the gaming world. Content is superb!
Thanks for explaining what the Triage feature does. I think I can use it to help further pair down what armor I'm really using.
This guide is goated!! Thank you Aegis
There is an option to favorite searches by clicking the star towards the end of the search bar. This is especially useful with named searches!
Thanks aegis, I've been using DIM for years and never knew about a lot of its features. Gotta love the peeps that created DIM.
