Humvee - First Test Drive on the 2007 M1097R1

Last 5 minutes of the HMMWV Maiden voyage. Replaced fluids in portal hubs, front and rear diffs, transaxle, engine. Did not replace the transmission fluid - looks brand new and new gasket material on the pan. Measured temps with the infrared device and looks good. Only a few miles of driving though - enough for a first test.

How has it been driving since? I get to about 45mph and feels like it needs to shift gears again lol. I haven’t gone up to 60 yet. Thinking about installing a Tachometer just to have that info.

The stock tires felt out-of-balance at 45+. I spent some money on Toyo Open Country tires and some lighter wheels (105# each vs 165# each) and it's super smooth now. The speedo reads 5mph less so I tried 65mph - smooth but louder than I like. 55mph sounds really good.
