Too much wind. I need a better camera position. Maybe on the RAM mount next time. I used the same chest mount that I use for dirt biking but it's not a good angle for the street bike.

Humvee drive to 55 ( start at 9:27 ). Dropped 240 pounds of wheel weight from the HMMWV by switching the stock run-flats to some Fuel Hostage Wheels with 37x12.5 R17 Toyo Open Country R/T tires. Worth the time and effort. 0-55 times dropped from 23 seconds to 18 seconds! So fast.

Wow that seems a LOT smoother with the new tires. I’ve been replacing the MT with Baja T/A which Are pretty good for the price. Good video thanks for the recommendation and posting
How has it been driving since? I get to about 45mph and feels like it needs to shift gears again lol. I haven’t gone up to 60 yet. Thinking about installing a Tachometer just to have that info.
The stock tires felt out-of-balance at 45+. I spent some money on Toyo Open Country tires and some lighter wheels (105# each vs 165# each) and it's super smooth now. The speedo reads 5mph less so I tried 65mph - smooth but louder than I like. 55mph sounds really good. Here's a diving video with the new wheels on it. ua-cam.com/video/-mQS0ns7izw/v-deo.htmlsi=UxiciX82DLaLaGbk
I was watching your speedometer to see where it probably shifts and looks same as mine. Gets to 3rd gear in a hurry and stays there after about 20-25mph all the way to 50+
I love internationals man can you please see if you can do a really really really long video of you driving this thing and included and start up and hammer down on the Excelerator and also can you please see if you can do one like I said on the army truck because love the cat stay safe man and have a blessed one
Absolutely amazing video man that start up was awesome. Can you please see if you can do a three or four hour ASMR ride along video and include the engine start up before departure because those are my favorite type of videos that cat sounds amazing. Stay safe and I hope all is well with you.
Yeah... I want one
Prices on these have gone crazy over the last few years. This one sold for $25k and it was in excellent condition. Same rig now is $60k+. ;-(
@@ridercrossing3789 OMG, wtf?? Holy chit
You had better relearn your fuel system comes up the fuel line to the strings through the strainer then passes under hand pump bypasses filter housing comes out lower line going to lift pump passes through lift pump comes out left side returns to rear port on housing down through outer filter holes passing over to center tube up through middle of filter to centerport to injectors that is the correct passage of fuel
Great video. Not looking forward to my less than 70K miles 2001 DT466E first engine problem. Change the filters regularly. Getting ready to do Oil Fuel, coolant and transmission filter. Probably doesn't need it but I couldn't hurt.
I wish the Army would have chosen this vehicle instead of the LMTV-MTV . One truck for everything.
I want to this truck !

Thanks for the video! I love my little 80!
That was us! I was on the Honda 80! Thanks for showing us around!
Great to meet you guys. Fun day in the woods!
How many miles did this have?
I tried the woods area once and was immediately lost - it's supposed to be a miles of trails, I'd like to figure it out!
I thought this was an add because the thumbnail looks like Facebook marketplace listing😂, anyways nice bike.
Yep - you are exactly right. I made a thumbnail pic from my Facebook ad.
Do you hv to change the wiring harness when you change the ICP sensor
Not unless you think the connector is bad. If it's loose or oily, definitely replace it. If there's any doubt on the wiring, run a multimeter to measure resistance. You can find the expected ohm resistance values online so you'll know if the sensor is bad or if it's the wiring. You can also test the icp sensor by unplugging it and starting the truck. When it's unplugged, you'll get the default fuel pressure (so it'll run but rough).
@@ridercrossing3789 thank you, we've changed both ICP sensor and the pressure valve sensor but it still throws the same ICP code. Could it be the ECM or maybe the fuel pump
Yeah they are slow lol. Mine has trans light on. It switches gears but I have to let off gas pedal for it to change gears.
Hope you fix the trans issue soon! Mine is super-fast now. Changed out the 165# runflats for 105# Fuel wheels with Toyo Open Country R/T's. Now it's 18 seconds to 55mph. Zooooooooooooooooooooom!
@@ridercrossing3789 I got some nice aluminum wheels , now need to get tires !
Wow yours cranks so well. I have a 3800 with a dt466 and it cranks much slower. How many batteries do you have? Cranking for more than 60 seconds kills my batteries
I have just 2 batteries but this one cranks better than the others I've had. And once I sorted the fuel pressure and HPOP, it starts really quick. The DT466e is my favorite diesel engine so far.
Please sir may you help out on international dt4300 2002 model its well no start..i watched your videos and ive tried my best to solve it nothing comes out ..i change cam sensor and clean up ipr but still the same
Wanted to know did it take a long time to get it street legal ?
I’m about to by same motor and trying to get a service manual or something to figure this all out
I just purchased one and I can’t find much online for it
The parts sellers don't seem to want to tell you what you can substitute for some parts. I watched over 200 hours of DT466 content when I got this truck since it's my first International. Comparing to the other diesels I've had (mostly small engines like 6.0's), it's my favorite so far but a close race against my 3116 Cat.
Do you know how to change the front seal mine is leaking
Did you sell it?

What other cool stuff do you have at the trailer park.
did u have a video how to change the injection pump
I don't but it's easy even without watching youtube vids. Make sure you torque everything correctly though - worst thing is to pop a stud out. Parts seem to be getting more expensive for these trucks this year. ;-/
5:00
Don't use fuel filters with dents. They may send bad crap down stream to the injectors.
Great video, I have one of those trucks I just bought. Mine will crank but will not fire. I just noticed mine does not make that humming sound when the key is on. Any ideas?
That annoying humming sound is the brake booster. This one has juice brakes (hydraulic). If you have air brakes, you won't hear a brake booster. No clicks or whirrs from the ECM nor from the IDM when the key is on either. Starting from scratch, check the easy/cheap stuff first. Replace the CPS, check IPR, check fuel pressure, check injector rail pressure. Those seem to be the big failure points on these DT466 engines.
Bad Glow plugs....
@@cic-jakevanddalgeemyers.2739 - ;-p No glow plugs on these DT466's.
Beautiful rig, I was torn between this style or the smaller one like I got, I wanted your style with the whole motor exposed when u pull the engine cover, you can work on everything right in front of u, not mine u have to pull the air cleaners just to see nothing
I had an E350 and E450 Ambo like that. Definitely prefer the Internationals and Freight Liners. Although my 1997 E350 Ambo was getting 18mpg! Can't do that with these newer ones.
First video here for me , I have a 2003 horton, did u end up taking the console out and doing away with it , I would like to get mine taken out, and solor installed ?
I left it as is. I usually keep things about a year. This Ambo was the best one I’ve ever had so thought about keeping it.
@@ridercrossing3789 thank u for the reply, if u ever run into someone that does ambulance wiring send them my way, thak u again
I have a 97 where do you add power steering fluid and do you need to bleed the lines??
I'm a big fan of Lucas Power Steering fluid. Lucas even fixed a small leak in my 4300 shuttlebus. Follow the lines from your power steering pump to the power steering reservoir. Fill it to the fill line indicated. If it's run dry or you're replacing the pump, you'll need to bleed it so the fluid doesn't foam up when in use. I've never had to bleed one but if I do, plenty of youtube vids on it.
I have a 2001 freightliner dt466e and I wanted to know if you know the power steering fluid type?
I'm a big fan of Lucas Power Steering fluid. Lucas even fixed a small leak in my 4300 shuttlebus. Any PS hydraulic fluid will probably be fine. Follow the lines from your power steering pump to the power steering reservoir. Fill it to the fill line indicated. If it's run dry or you're replacing the pump, you'll need to bleed it so the fluid doesn't foam up when in use. I've never had to bleed one but if I do, plenty of youtube vids on it.
did you get it started? What was the problem when all was said and done? I have a truck same engine and setup.. and the lift pump seems to be doing nothing.. I replaced the pump with a chinese one and still no pressure buildup. The cam that drives the pump is rotating and appears to be bumping the pump with small 1/4 to 1/2 inch strokes. still no pressure.. pressurizing the fuel tank with 10psi shop air.. sends fuel out bleed port and pressure check port.
Yep - the main culprit was the Ferry Plug Ball. That little .25" ball kept the HPOP from building pressure.
@@davidpaterson6271 Where is the ferry plug ball located..? is it easily accessable? this could be my problem.. I cannot build pressure, the fuel is all leaking back into tank via return line..
I found it, thankyou, by searching google.. many thanks and God bless for a excellent video
ua-cam.com/video/kwrolIvTop8/v-deo.html shows how to assemble the ferry plug and ball properly
@@19999927 if it’s fuel going back to the tank, check your manual pump check ball. It’s located on the fuel filter housing under a plastic top (has a plus sign on it). That ball is .5” and you can get them for five bucks at McMasterCarr. Part number 3645K5 Viton Flouroelastomer Rubber Ball.
If I understood you correctly you may have described the fuel flow backwards. I think there is an arrow on the lift pump .. wouldnt the suction side be the side with the arrow pointing leftwards? or the right side of the lift pump?
It’s nice Sir
It'd be a "fun" 8x weekend project to sound insulate the cabin.
I need this in Snowrunner!😄
Nice! And this has hydraulic brakes with an air parking brake. Always interesting to see that combo on non-air brake buses.
🥰🥰🥰
Nice. What year.
Love the lights
