    Call me old fashioned but if it were dual powered meaning using battery's and the potential to plug it in to the wall via extension cord too I'd buy it in a heartbeat

    I almost got this one but opted for the 6gal 1 battery vac and i use the 12.0 with it and gets a solid 30-35mins of run time with it. And i have 4 of the 12.0s when needed

    Aside from capacity, what’s fundamentally the difference between the 6 gallons versus 9 gallon? The 6 gallon takes one battery. I’m assuming you’re not sacrificing any power. Thoughts?

    Could you compare it with the new m18 packout vac or with a ridgid 120v vac. I have both of those and would be nice to know if it’s ok to ditch the corded vacs. Thank you for putting this out though

    I have the 6 gallon single battery version and I’m still pretty impressed. I runs great on the XC 6.0 HO battery and I got a full 15 minutes on max power mode. It’s definitely worth getting the HD 12.0 HO battery for the single battery version.

    They are expensive but they do seem better significantly than the other cordless shop vacs. I have thought about buying the vac alone and not the kit and just running it off existing batteries.

    Hi workshop! Would you ever consider reviewing diamondback and/or atlas tool belts, vests, pouches, etc?

    Good review! I had preordered this since I placed a premium on a cordless vac. Very happy with it. Would be even happier with a Packout feature on top. Missed opportunity. The various attachments have been on sale at HD, and I like them.

    Other than ultimate convenience it's hard to justify over a corded unit. I do alot of electrical service calls so I keep a corded floor vacuum, a corded shop vacuum, and a packout m18 cordless vacuum for small messes. The other day I had to take a panel cover off to install a temporary cord end to get 120v power just to clean up a big mess with my shop vac so I can understand the convenience but still it's a hard sell. Even if I went cordless I would still have to find a place to charge the batteries on the jobsite and not leave them behind. And most of the time the places you want to use a shop vac have power available somewhere. I feel like the m18 power station would be the better bang for your buck if you need power anywhere and everywhere considering it can power pretty much any power tool

    Great video!! Since I’m not a part of the pack out eco-system, I’m glad the vac didn’t have that added cost for that compatibility. Performance is impressive with two 8AH batteries, and being cordless creates a real winner. Highly recommend.

    I sent my M12 Fuel ratchet in for warranty because the plunger shaft for the trigger switch was broken. You can clearly see on the broken pieces that there's an air pocket that created a weak point in the shaft. The tool worked if the broken piece of the trigger switch was held in place under the paddle with a rubber band. Warranty was denied with no explanation as to why, which is fine if that's how they do business. The issue that I'm having is, my tool was shipped back to me entirely disassembled in a clear plastic bag with a hole approximately the size of 3 fingers punched in it. The fingered bag was inside of a box that was stapled shut with approximately a 3/8" gap across the bottom. Now I'm missing several small fastners as well as the broken piece of the switch, which was required to use the tool. I sent them a functional tool and now it can't be used whatsoever. The way my tool was returned to me was sloppy and lazy. A $180 tool is going in the trash on my dime because they couldn't use a piece of tape.

    If they come out (and I hope they do) with a pack out compatible, dust extractor "head" with a tool auto start feature then I would definitely buy one. I would even pay $800-900 for a kit, until then I'll continue abusing and not worrying about damaging my $120 Ridgid

    Why couldnt the drain be the lowest point and there be a slight angle in the bottom that leans toward the drain. They could just have feet on the 4 corners that hold it up like an 8th of an inch and those feet mount to the cart. Then just make sure the footprint is the same for all the bins and the cart and the drain could actually be into the black cart frame

    They only make one dual battery power head correct? So can a person buy this vacuum and buy the 2.5” hose separately and it will work with this power head? Or does the 12 gallon have a different power head that uses the 2.5” hose?

    • @WorkshopAddict
      @WorkshopAddict  2 роки тому

      I believe they are the same power head, so this should take the larger hose. What throws me is that the clip on the side of my powerhead would not accept a 2.5 inch hose, so it has me wondering. When you look it up, you can get a powered for any vac size, but they say nothing about hose diameter.

    • @derekbross6958
      @derekbross6958 2 роки тому

      @@WorkshopAddict I found something somewhere saying a 0920-20 accepts 1 7/8” hose and 0939-20 is the 2.5”.
      As you say identical power. I think all they did is make it so you can plug a 2.5” hose into the power head on the 9 gallon unit so you are forced to buy the 12 gallon unit to get the 2.5” hose.

    • @WorkshopAddict

      @@WorkshopAddict Thanks, it would be appreciated. I’m sure many others would be in the same boat as me and don’t need more batteries or the 12 gallon and would love to save the money and buy the 9 gallon tool only and put a 2.5” hose on it.

    • @WorkshopAddict
      @WorkshopAddict  2 роки тому

      From my research, not experience (yet), it will fit. You can look at this page and see that the connection to the vac tapers down. So per my measurments, you will be able to get that 2.5" diamerter into the 9 gallon power head as the 1-7/8" hose tapers down to the hose. www.milwaukeetool.com/Products/49-90-2006#sp-specs

    There a lot Milwaukee telling use when they made this unit
    I’m not putting down Milwaukee I use there tools daily
    1 it would of been pack out but as u can see price is high so would of brough cost two high to add pack out compatible so they had came up with quick goodie bag for
    Think would added extra value
    2 starting at $299 bare tool not aimed at hobbies t this is contractor pricing
    And Milwaukee got so many tools they can offered to go out of box with pricing
    3 made usa lol
    This tool is all plastic very easy to have a American worker get there feet wet and get a easy assemble prouduct out the door and show high quality results
    So next time u see made usa in Milwaukee
    Ow my shop vac held up ya il go for it
    4 can we use normal shop hoses or they special lol sounds like easy way for Milwaukee charge $100 for 20 ft hose lol
    5 are there bags for this thing $600-$700 I think should take bagges
    6 And wheels are nice but any commercial shop vac in this price gonna have wheels
    For this price it shoul hover over objects lol 😂
