Great question! I haven't tested the 2.5 Packout vacs yet, but I've heard great things about them. I've tested the M18 backpack vacuum, which I use all the time and give a thumbs up to. Milwaukee is introducing a new Packout vacuum dust extractor this year which is great if you're running it along with tools, like for woodworking or other dust. In case you haven't seen the info on that, I have a link from my World of Concrete video which starts at the timestamp of the vacuum demonstration ua-cam.com/video/JMokLH7hJo8/v-deo.htmlsi=xV8Uptoy3AHOm2XZ&t=27
It does not but you can buy a separate head. There are 3 vacuum heads total (well 6 if you count your mother, wife and sister) that are interchangeable. A single battery head, dual battery and 6,5hp corded volley.
I would be curious to see how much better this vacuum preforms withe the 6a forge battery. Once the 12a forge is released it would be nice to see the preformance increase.
Bizarre. I bought this recently and my hose didn’t have the locking connector. It had the tapered connector on both ends. Hence I can’t use the vacuum. Kudos to Milwaukee tho. I called support and they are sending me a 16ft hose with the locking connector.
Oh nice! I'm glad to hear the positive customer support. I had a claim on a compressor & battery, and they took care of me with a replacement that's still going strong.
I disagree. That would just add more clutter, more weight and more cost. With two 12.0 batteries you can run this thing for an hour straight and there’s no cords. That’s a long time! I love mine.
@@TboneSRT I own the rocket light, and it doesn’t come with a cord, just the plug. So I’d need to carry an extension cord and have it running across a yard or a room. It’s easier to keep an extra battery with you in your rocket light bag than it is to carry a 100ft extension cord. I’ve used mine many times and every single time I’ve used batteries. I’m about to order a few of the forge 12.0 batteries and I already own a boatload of 12.0, 6.0 and 8.0 batteries, and with good batteries I personally think most people would never use the plug. I think Milwaukee conducted many surveys and focus groups and decided the same thing as me. A small percentage would plug in, but most would use batteries. In my opinion if you’re always vacuuming up huge jobs, you’re better served by a larger, more powerful corded version of a shop vac. Have a good evening.
@cliffordmontana4562 you need to read what I said I said make it hybrid to allow a cord or battery. Idk where you got more clutter out of that. yeah, same. There's no extra anything. It doesn't weigh any more or less with the hybrid system. No reason they can't make this the same way 🤷🏻♂️ hybrid would be the way to go.
Whats the runtime in both modes with HO 6.0? Not sure why some people are saying a 12.0 is a must with the single battery, unless your vacuuming all day one 6.0 should be fine for the car, garage, etc..having another 6.0 on standby isnt bad either.
If I have a fully charged 6Ah HO, it lasts long enough for a single project. I found some stats on the 8Ah, saying they get ~30min on high and 50 on low.
Would this 6 gallon wet/dry vac be big enough for your shop? Or would you look at the 9 or 12 gallon instead?
Nice review. What do you think of this vs the Packout vac?
I’d be using for general jobs around the house, car, garage.

Great video man, you deserve a follow
Bought. Eats battery but stacks up to any $70 corded shop vac but a bit quieter.😊
It's nice to cut the cord on this wet/dry vac. I've been very happy with mine and like the lower noise level.
Great video Mark. Does this vacuum have a corded feature?
No, it's completely battery powered. It has good runtime for several projects on a single charge.
It does not but you can buy a separate head. There are 3 vacuum heads total (well 6 if you count your mother, wife and sister) that are interchangeable. A single battery head, dual battery and 6,5hp corded volley.
I'm sold great video! 💪😎
Cool! I'm sure you'll like this vacuum!

Yes, I'm excited to see that as well. I'm also looking forward to testing the 8Ah Forge.
@MarkThomasBuilder thanks for the follow up. This is a stout vac on its own but a little power upgrade will turn it into where it should be.
What is the best size battery to use for optimum pick up power if you don’t have a 12ah battery?
I'd say a 8Ah high output or the new 6Ah Forge battery.

Do you know if i can connect the hose to the other side to use it as a blower?
Yes, I believe you can.
Compare this with packout vacuum for the back of a truck? In a toolbox.
Was for 220 with a 8ah battery at my hd
Sounds like a good deal. That battery will give you some good runtime.
needs
to be hybrid to allow a cord or battery

@@cliffordmontana4562 not really, nothing would change, just the option to plug it in like the rocket light

I've never ran the wet filter in any shop vac I've owned
That's a good thing. I've had some minor flooded areas where it really comes in handy for fast water cleanup.

País $115 today for it at Home Depot
Nice find!
@@MarkThomasBuilder it’s hack able right now
Nice! I’m ordering one today! Using the “Home Depot hack” it’s exactly $115 after returning the “free” 8.0 high output.
I picked mine up today. It’s an awesome shop vac.
When’s the livestream
I'm hoping my schedule works for Tuesday at 8pm.
